Thought for the day…

Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday the 18th day of June 2013.

I am back.

Quite a busy passed few days and I have missed you all.

My grand-puppies spent a couple of days with us as their parents were out of town at a wedding.

So Alvin had someone to play with and I had extra company.

Elton and Penny are great.

Both Alvin and I had some “health” issues.

Mine was a toothache and Alvin I am not quite certain but I am proud to say both of us are back in perfect health.

It is time for a visit to the dentist for a check-up though.

I was concerned when I woke up yesterday morning;  it was 7:00 a.m. and Alvin wasn’t trying to get me up.

I am pretty certain I did not sleep through his 4:30 a.m. wake up call.

But he did.

At one point he turned and looked at me and then put his head back down.

I was kind of dozy so didn’t think much of it.

Must have been the Advil that I had taken for a couple of days that made me sleepy.

I normally do not take pain medication.

When I finally was awake at 9:00 a.m. …… I actually got out of bed and had to pick him up and place him on the floor.

He always jumps down …. his eyes didn’t look right.

I was so worried about my little guy.

You know what kind of a “foodie” my Mr. Alvin is ….. well yesterday morning I put his food in his dish.

He kind of pushed it around for a few minutes.

Now I knew he wasn’t feeling great.

Finally after several minutes and me coaxing him ….. his food bowl was empty.

I am so grateful that me and Alvin are feeling better.

I called the Vet’s office in the morning to see if I should take him in ….

He has an appointment for this Friday unless something changes.

In the afternoon we went for a walk and bumped into my daughter and family so that was nice.

It was a beautiful day.

I also mowed the grass which is growing like crazy with all of this rain.

Well it was supposed to rain overnight and this morning but the sun is up and the sky is a pretty powder blue.

I am not sure if I should place my flowers back in their regular spots …… or not.

If it hails they have no protection…. what a dilemma!!

I guess they will get some sunshine where they are situated.

Oh, the roses are so huge this year.

We took a few minutes on our early morning walk to enjoy these beautiful flowers.

We are so blessed to have roses along every pathway and surrounding the entrances to the lakes.

I think that they love all of the moisture …..

I LOVE the smell …. that fragrance is so amazing.

I could lay under a rose bush all day long and just close my eyes and smell that glorious fragrance.

Well I guess that pretty much catches up up.

I hope that you had a great weekend.

I wish you all an amazing Tuesday.

May your day be filled with joy and laughter and fun.

Special Hello to: everyone on the planet …..

Always, Carol and Alvin
