2021

Good Morning ALL! Sorry for the late start. We were up earlier but I went to look after Humphrey, Bogart and Cynder and then had forgot that I was going to COSTCO. So I ran out of time to write my blog before leaving. So now home, groceries away and going to have my first cup of coffee as soon as I am done here and breakfast. A bit later than usual but that is okay. Today I am going to give Mr. Alvin a haircut and bath.

What a great weekend. We had a friend’s birthday party on the deck yesterday morning and there was the birthday girl, one friend and me. Okay and Mr. Alvin. We had a great time. Good conversation, cake and gifts. (and coffee). Also neighbour and his son came over and levelled my washing machine. When I later did my first load of laundry there were no noises coming from the basement during the spin cycle. YAY. I am so grateful to the guys for fixing my washer. They would not take any money. I am so lucky and blessed to have so many awesome folks in my life. People taking time out of their busy lives to lend me a hand. So grateful. Later in the afternoon Alvin and I went for a walk. We stopped at Teddy’s house but they were not home. Later Teddy’s Mom called to invite us to the deck for tea. So after supper over we went. Lots of outside visits. Physically distancing. Being cautious and careful of course.

So now there is drying laundry which is dried and a couple loads of laundry left to do. Mr. Alvin’s haircut and bath. A walk later. Tomorrow is my late start to work.

It is a beautiful morning. Bright sunny sky. Birds singing as I have the office window open. The cats are doing well. We even had some play time this morning. Their Mom arrives home this afternoon.

I am realizing that I am actually hungry.

Sorry to cut this short. Oh, I got to see the newest COSTCO store in Edmonton. It is the SUPER BUSINESS centre.

I could not believe the sizes of some of the products for sale at this new COSTCO. They had a huge bag of carrots, so big not sure if I could even have lifted it. A barrel of syrup. Huge sizes of things.

I found an upright deep freezer in COSTCO for $300.00 which I might see if I can get and my friend’s husband who is a Manager there said he will bring it home with his truck.

Flowers are looking beautiful (watered them last night).

There is a lovely breeze coming in through the open office window.

Wishing you all a great rest of your Sunday and weekend.

Continuing to live this life with kindness, respect, compassion, patience, love and gratitude.

Always, Carol & Alvin
