It is a NEW YEAR.

Welcome back.

Good Friday Morning to You ALL.

The sky is beginning to lighten earlier with each passing day.

Some of my neighbours are still required to go to work.

Both of them work in the Health Field in different professions and are not nurses or doctors.

I am happy that we made it through another week.

It kind of was a long week in many regards but today is the day before the weekend.

We can let our hair down.

We can do some laundry and some cleaning.

Maybe get out for walks if you have been unable to during the week.

I was listening to a Doctor speak on a NEWS SPECIAL last night.

He made some good points:

Get plenty of sleep.

Exercise,

Eat healthy,

Hydrate (drink lots of water),

Try to lessen or reduce the amount of stress with perhaps the help of music and meditation.

Stay at home as much as possible.

Important to not touch your eyes and face.

Keep your hands clean.

Clean the door knobs, window and kitchen cupboard handles and bathroom taps at least once daily.

These are all common sense, everyday things we should all be doing most of the time, anyway.

Keep in mind, this will pass.

It may take some time but I believe it will leave.

In our modern age we have not had such a “well broadcasted” virus hitting virtually every country on this planet.

So we should learn from one and another.

Incorporate those measures that have been tried before us and work.

It will be a long haul and we could potentially lose a great many souls if we do not learn from each other.

I wish that the LEADERS of country would listen to each other.

Listening has and will always remain the best weapon we have against any “enemy.”

I do not like to use those words but at this point it is appropriate.

Well time to go and grab and mug of coffee and get this work day going.

I want to start a bit early with hopes of getting caught up before the end of this work day.

Unfortunately as time goes on here, I think we will become more busy.

Take care of yourselves.

Don’t forget those who need our help.

A Senior, someone with mobility issues, a family who struggles in the best of times……

We can always help.

You could place a couple of cans of soup in a bag with a note.

The note could read “Is there anything that you need or that I can help you with.”

Please sign the note and maybe give your phone number if you feel comfortable (if you don’t know them well).

Knock and leave the bag on the porch or on the door knob (if there is one).

There are so many ways we can help each other.

I appreciate your help in these unknown times.

Wishing you a wonderful day.

I will be back tomorrow.

Remember “kindness and respect.”

Always, Carol & Alvin

P.S. I counted the steps from my bed to my office.

“TEN.”

What a long commute, I have these days.

Laughing …. please laugh.

It is a NEW YEAR.

Good Morning and Welcome to a bright almost sun filled morning sky as the sun begins to rise in the east.

I absolutely love sunrises.

The palest of pinks and oranges and yellows.

So delicate as they fill the horizon.

Looks like another beautiful day on the way.

Alvin and I are doing well.

I cannot believe, well yes I can, actually.

How wonderful the people are that I have surrounded myself with …. they are the best.

I have the best siblings, daughter and son-in-law and friends.

Everyone has been so great.

My friends that live nearby have been so great checking to see if I need anything from the grocery store.

My family checks on me and I on them.

Likely not enough.

I am working from home so that fills a good chunk of the day.

We had a great walk yesterday after work.

Humphrey spent the day with us.

His Mom took him to the Vet for a 3:30 p.m. appointment and they were able to fix him up.

Humphrey will be on antibiotics for a bit but he was happy when it was all over.

Thank goodness.

A friend picked me up more groceries yesterday and another dropped off some eggs.

We chatted as we social distanced ourselves from each other.

No hugs at this time.

Another friend down the street called to see how Alvin and I were doing.

They are older than me and they still worry about us.

I worry about them but they are well and that is great news.

I can smell the coffee perking and I am happy to have freshly ground coffee beans.

I am so grateful for that little PLUTO video, noticed it was called PLUTO LIVING.

Please google it.

PLUTO is this little dog and he speaks with kind words for us all.

I am not certain who does the voice, perhaps his Momma but it is so well done.

A reminder to us all.

Look after your friends and neighbours and family.

The seniors really our help at this time, egads I am in some circles considered to be a senior.

But I am doing great.

Check in on folks.

If you know of someone struggling and you can give them even a couple of cans of beans or veggies or a loaf of bread of some bathroom tissue, do it.

If we all did this we could feed a nation.

We can all share something of what we have whether it be inspiration, kind gestures, food goods, something.

Well I am getting close to time to head downstairs and grab some coffee.

THe smell is increDible …. as if wafts up the stairs.

My Alvin is adjusting to this all ….

He knows when his blankets are close to the computer by the window I am writing my post.

Then when I move them he knows I am working.

He has really been great through all of this.

He does sometimes jump up from a nap when my cell phone rings (work line).

I hope that you are getting some exercise and fresh air.

Even when we are self isolating it is good to go for a walk.

Just stay away from folks.

You can still say HELLO from a distance.

Eat right.

It is hard to stay away from the comfort food.

A little here and there is okay.

Have a great Thursday.

I hope that you and your family are doing well.

Be kind to each other.

We need each other at this time and always.

This too, shall pass.

We are strong.

Support each other.

With kindness and respect.

With only kindness and respect to you,

Always, Carol & Alvin

P.S. please remember to laugh…..

It is a NEW YEAR.

Good Morning and Welcome to DAY FIVE of working from home.

We have company this morning.

Humphrey is joining us for the day.

Poor boy has a dew claw that is grown in.

The cat that has three legs.

I think Alvin has been talking to him and realized that he is hurting as he is whining.

Poor Humphrey.

Hopefully his Mom is able to get him into the VET shortly.

We only managed to get one partial walk in yesterday.

It was messy out and we got about halfway on our new route and Alvin had enough and turned for home.

I did make several attempts to sway him into continuing but alas we turned around and came home.

We received word yesterday that at this point it appears that we will remain closed to the public and continue to work from home until April 30th.

They will reassess the situation mid April and take it from there.

I am slowly getting into this and it is becoming less stressful.

I am grateful to have more time at home with Alvin especially as he is getting older.

I am grateful to have a much SHORTER commute.

I am grateful that I have a job and that I can work from home and continue to be paid.

Life goes on.

Yesterday I managed to have a nice chat with one of my dear friends.

She is the one that has the amazing yard and flowers every year.

We had been playing tag for quite some time and they had gone for a cruise at the end of January and home near end of February.

They had no outbreaks on the ship but when they arrived home they made sure to self-isolate.

Her husband has some heart issues so that was important.

After supper and clean up was done, I was on FB for a little bit.

Commenting on a friend’s post about her Dad’s birthday.

Another friend also posted.

At that moment, I wondered their connection.

But did not take the time to ask? (privately, of course).

A little while later, the friend asked me how I knew them.

Then we chatted via messenger for a nice long while.

Finding more connections we have …..

What a small world.

The Dad and that friend, I knew the family from my childhood.

One of the sister was a dear friend of mine and has since passed away from Cancer.

The friend that knew this family had so many connections to them herself and through her late husband (who was a dear friend of mine).

How wild and wonderful is this time on earth we call our lives!

Well I am running a tad late as I decided why would I get up so early when I could just rest on our nice cozy sofa.

THen the phone rang and it was Humphrey’s Mom.

The coffee pot is calling my name.

It always takes a few minutes to get everything set up on the computer.

I hope this finds you well.

Relaxing and less stressed this week than last.

Each day that passes and we make it through is a good one.

We will endure, we always will.

Will things be different after this has ended.

You betcha, things will be different.

Businesses will realize that they can continue business with employees working from home.

New business practices will arise.

Governments will make some stark realizations, and perhaps start working together to have a GLOBAL PLAN in place.

Unfortunately I think this will keep happening.

Humans are a strange creature and always doing things we were not meant to do.

Be safe and kind to others.

Fill your days with goodness and respect.

There is always something you can do for yourself and for others.

I think spring cleaning can be started.

Watch the videos of a little doggie named “Pluto.”

He makes me smile and laugh so loud.

Happy Wednesday.

Oh, the sun is rising and the sky is clear.

Sunny day, oh I hope so.

Always, Carol, Alvin and today with us, Humphrey.

Friends come in all sizes and shapes.

Don’t worry thankfully these are old photos and Humphrey is not wearing the bright yellow cone.

It is a NEW YEAR.

Good Morning All,

Feeling refreshed as just had a nice shower.

Alvin was enjoying a massage a bit earlier.

I am worried that he is starting to feel the effects of arthritis more and more.

I even massaged his little legs and when I stopped he asked for more.

We have this little gesture when he wants/needs something.

I ensure even Al has to have manners.

He reaches out to me or to whomever with one of his front paws.

That is how he asks nicely.

So he kept doing this every time that I stopped massaging.

Unfortunately I cannot do it all day but I am going to make a point of on my breaks massaging his paws/legs.

He is laying on his extra soft bed that I made for him in the office.

I have a blanket of mine that is over 40 years old folded down and then his blue blanket on top.

Making a nice little bed for the boy.

In a few minutes it will be time to go and turn on the coffee pot or I may sneak away in a few minutes.

Am feeling like a cup of coffee sooner than later.

It is strange/odd that every day since I have been home, I have not had the same routine.

We do the same things but at somewhat different times.

Perhaps changing things up a bit does not hurt.

Our routine has likely been changed for some time to come.

I feel for Alvin though in all of this.

I know that he is enjoying me being at home.

Once I go back to work it will be tough on him.

He is not a young dog anymore.

One day at a time.

Making each day count is the way that we have to look at all of this.

Oh, just when we thought SPRING had truly arrived …..

IT snowed and snowed.

We now have a nice thick white blanket covering all of the bare ground and concrete.

There remain huge banks of snow in the front yards that face north and ours is one of them.

Okay, perhaps huge might be a bit of an exaggeration but still we have quite a lot of snow.

If we do not have an imagination or sense of humour, what do we have?

The sky is overcast so I am not seeing the beauty of a sunrise.

Although far on the horizon in between all of the houses that I see out of my office window there is some lightness.

Lightness coming from the horizon.

Sunrise?

I think so.

Hopefully the sun will shine through any clouds that remain in the sky today.

I cannot believe it is already DAY FOUR of working from home.

Yesterday so proud of us.

We went for a 30 minute walk at lunchtime and then again after work.

We will have to be careful walking today as the snow is covering the ice and water.

Will have to go from memory of yesterday’s walk.

Well, it is almost time to sign off for another day.

I can smell the coffee perking.

Yup, I ran downstairs (okay, walked) and turned on the coffee pot a couple of minutes ago.

I wish you a day filled with something new.

A good new.

If you are not working from home and have time to spare.

Go onto the computer and take an online course.

Most city/town libraries have free courses.

Just google free courses.

You never know what you may find.

Learning something new will ease the boredom and give you confidence and help keep your mind off things.

Maybe read a new book, a title that you have lying around the house OR I imagine there are free books online to read.

Start spring cleaning.

Start room by room.

Go slowly as I think we have time.

Be meticulous about what you are keeping, discarding and recycling and giving to charity.

Make a list from every room of all of the items that you have that you are not using.

Once complete then think of who you could give those items to.

If you sew, make a blanket for an elderly neighbour.

If you knit, make a blanket for your Mother/Father.

There are so many things we can do.

Write a book.

GO FOR A WALK.

I highly recommend the WALK.

There is nothing like fresh air to still the demons and quiet the thoughts.

So my coffee is perked and I am ready for it.

Wishing you kindness and respect.

Be safe and in good health.

This is one of those rare times in human history that we are all in this together.

Everyone on the planet has been affected by this in some way, shape or form.

I do believe that some countries are handling things better than others but that is unfortunately how things go.

Do the right thing where you are.

Have an awesome Tuesday.

Always, Carol & Alvin

It is a NEW YEAR.

Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 23rd of March, 2020.

We had a great weekend.

No cell, no FACEBOOK, no other social media, no internet except for writing this post.

It definitely took my anxiety down several notches to almost nil, I would say.

I started to put together a little mantra to repeat throughout the day.

Hopefully it will help keep me settled down.

It all comes back to bringing work home.

I like my job but home is home.

I understand these times and I am grateful that I have a job and am able to work from home.

But it does not change the facts that I am invading my home with work.

Something that I will have to work on …. through this time.

I love being home with Alvin.

Yesterday I gave him his regular haircut followed by a bath.

As always, he cringed and balked at having his paws trimmed.

I somehow managed to get them trimmed.

Back ones always look better than the front.

I have started to keep the scissors close by at bedtime.

When he has settled down and just before I brush his teeth, I give a couple quick snips.

It helps.

The sun is beginning to rise as I can see the beginnings of beautiful colours to the east.

Those colours make me happy …..

We had a nice walk yesterday.

Changed up our route once again.

Mainly due to the ice on the sidewalks.

I love the morning sky.

Back to the sunrise.

It is 7:09 a.m. and the sky is beginning to grow light as the darkness dissipates into the day.

I love the whispers of pink, oranges and blues as they fill the morning sky.

The colour pallette brings joy to my heart and a calmness to my mind.

Both great things for sure.

I hope that you had a wonderful weekend.

I wish you a day filled with kindness and respect.

If you are feeling anxious …. try to step away from that which is making you feel that way.

I hope that you are able to do so.

If not, write down a simple mantra.

Words that bring you to a state of gratitude and joy.

Words that will reduce your anxiety.

This is one of my mantras.

I am grateful to have more time with my Alvin.”

I am grateful to have a beautiful home.”

“I am grateful to be surrounded by considerate and supportive people.”

“I am grateful to have freshly perked coffee each morning made in my kitchen.”

Take care out of your day for yourself.

It is the little things that will get us all through these days.

Go for a walk.

Get away from where you are whether you are at home or at work.

Being outside makes a huge difference.

Try to go near some water and trees, nature is a wonderful healing force.

With heartfelt feelings of kindness and respect to everyone including myself,

and to Alvin,

We remain, Always,

Carol & Alvin

My geranium is blooming, I cannot wait to transplant it outside.

It is a NEW YEAR.

Good Morning All,

Well it is a bright, sunny morning here in Edmonton, Alberta.

Alvin actually slept until a reasonable hour this morning and then of course we hit the sofa for a few more hours of sleep.

Sometimes it is even nice to just lay in the quiet and just be.

No voices or sounds but our breathing.

Yesterday we had a good day.

My decision to stay away from SOCIAL MEDIA and leaving my cell upstairs in the office was a great decision.

Before I went “dark”, I sent quick texts to my daughter, sister and a few friends that I usually have daily contact with so that they would not worry if they did not reach me.

Also did not wish for my house phone to ring off the wall either.

It was a good decision.

I think it was cutting off the demon before my body and mind could not stand the constant barrage of opinions, news and such.

I no longer feel as though I am going to implode.

I felt wonderful yesterday.

The majority of the massive feeling of anxiety was bringing my job home with me.

I have always felt as though my house was my safe place away from the madness, the stress, that is sometimes my job.

Not really in a bad way as I am grateful to be employed in a time where folks do not have work and I am grateful to be working from home.

But at the same time, now work has invaded my space, my sanctuary, and my phone.

We have our phone system set up with an APP on our mobile phones, so we can call out without giving out our personal phone numbers and people can call in.

So now my cell phone is not just for personal use, I have to use it for work.

It was less than a year ago that I did not have a cell phone, who would have known.

Anyway, we shall see how tomorrow goes.

I guess I will have to adapt and ensure that I step away when I or if I am feeling anxious.

Thankfully I have Alvin here with me.

Yesterday the good day that I started to tell you about.

Well I even cleaned out the “junk drawers” in the kitchen.

Those spaces where every little thing goes to hide.

It always amazes me at how fast they fill up and with the most interesting items.

Checked that off the list and it was not even on the list.

I did some laundry.

Alvin and I went for a walk.

Cleaned the bathroom.

Washed the main floor.

My neighbours in the other half of the duplex and I chipped away at the ice out front on the street and managed to drain the lake that was out front.

We are so proud.

It took us just over an hour despite the interruptions by passing vehicles.

Funny how most people slowed down and some did not.

Would they think that we are out doing this for our health and that we wanted to have dirty water splashed all over us?

I guess they must.

Anyway, it was nice to chat with them while we worked.

Alvin watched out of the window.

We had a quiet night after supper.

I watched a movie called “Dark Waters.”

I heard the name but did not know what it was about.

DUPONT ….. I learned some things. C8 and Teflon.

This all happened during my lifetime and even recently but I do not remember.

Makes me want to check my pots and pans.

Anything coated with teflon is not going to remain in my house.

I know that the list is likely long of the items that we use on a daily basis.

They gave out a staggering and very frightened statistics at the end of the snow.

One being that 99% of the world human population have C8 in their bodies.

C8 causes cancers amongst other things.

I urge you all to watch this movie, it was disturbing in places but informative.

Well it is Sunday.

Time to go put on some coffee and have some toast.

Then I am going to give Mr. Alvin a haircut and bath before vacuuming the upstairs and washing the floors up here.

I hope that you are having a good day.

Be safe and I hope you remain in good health.

Practice the social distancing and stay home when you can.

I would think we will have the cleanest homes and will have all of our odd jobs completed by the time this is over.

Who knows how long that will be.

I am grateful to have supportive, generous and amazing family and friends.

Take care.

Remember we must be kind and respect to all our human counterparts and also to all of the animals and life out there.

We need each other now more than ever.

Maybe the reduction of manufacturing will help the environment.

Maybe we will learn to do with less.

We should.

Have an awesome Sunday.

Alvin is ready to go back downstairs and I need some COFFEE.

Take Care.

Always, Carol & Alvin

It is a NEW YEAR.

Good Morning, 2020 has certainly turned into a year that no one unexpected.

Alvin had me up every couple of hours last night so I am feeling tired and grumpy.

Trying to turn those feelings into energy and positivity.

We were at the VET yesterday for his regular nail trim and anal gland expressing (gross, I know).

Our Vet is closing on Saturdays now as she is down from a handful of staff to two.

They hope to remain open Monday through Friday but if they get run down or become sick that all changes.

Or even a member of their household.

That scares me more than anything not having Alvin’s Doctor available.

Thursday was my first full day of working from home and it was productive and good.

Friday was not.

Too much information.

Too many emails with updates from government.

A video from our CEO.

Information for our clients.

Emails regarding our workspace from home.

What to do with this and what to do with that.

So much too read and then work on top of it all.

I think all of that was too much for me yesterday.

Yes, I am feeling that I am not a computer person so that does not help.

I have a MAC and we are working on a WINDOWS based laptop.

We did go for a walk yesterday at lunchtime so that was nice.

Also walked to the vet after work.

Alvin’s friend Teddy came for a unplanned visit.

Now Alvin is resting on his blanket beside me, argh.

What a guy.

Well enough of blah, blah, blah.

We are all in this together.

I am just going to do what I can do.

I hope that you are well.

That you are not having too many overwhelming feelings.

Please reach out to others when you are able to.

I am so grateful to my family and friends for taking such great care of me and Alvin.

Walking is a good thing.

If you are able ….. get out out of the house.

Go for a walk.

Do the “social distancing.”

A new phrase for me and for most, I suspect.

Remember Kindness and Respect.

If you are overwhelmed at time, like me.

Sit down, close your eyes and visualize your happy place or someone that brings joy to your heart.

Stay away from SOCIAL MEDIA for a day.

Watch a movie no NEWS for a day.

We will get through this in time.

I know we will.

Be safe and in good health.

Always, Carol & Alvin

It is a NEW YEAR.

Good Morning and Welcome to Day TWO of working at home for me.

Well actually I was pleasantly surprised and most happy that everything went well.

I was able to do my work (there are a couple of jobs that we are not able to do at this time from home but that is okay).

We are able to take phone calls as we have a new phone system that we have had for a little while now.

With this phone system we are able to download their APP and set up on our cell/mobile phones.

So it is okay.

Phone calls are not my favourite thing to do but that is okay …

Our clients need to have multiple ways of contacting us and even more so since our office has closed to the public.

Yesterday one of our friends and her daughter came to take Alvin for a walk in the early afternoon.

I got him dressed including his jacket as the wind was cool.

He seemed like he was happy to be going out.

I watched from the living room window as they went down the steps and tried to go onto the public sidewalk.

They were on the sidewalk and Alvin was still half way down the sidewalk looking back at the house.

He has separation issues, clearly.

After a few minutes they walked back to the house, Alvin stood on the porch and whined.

I opened the door and his walk was over.

I felt bad as they were really excited to take him for a walk.

He knows them both really well as we see them all the time.

Anyway what can you do.

We did go for a nice walk after work.

4:05 p.m. the computer was off and I was downstairs and few minutes later we were out the door.

Sure is nice not having the commute.

The sky is clear as the sun begins to rise.

I can smell the coffee perking and am excited to have a mug of my freshly brewed from beans coffee.

It is a good thing that today marks the beginning of the weekend.

I am pooped, all of this has been slightly exhausted.

Alvin was supposed to have his regular vet appointment tomorrow however, they want to close to all non-essential visits for Saturdays (weekends) and during the week.

As Alvin goes in regular and needs to have his anal glands checked out, we have an appointment today at 4:30 p.m.

I will pick up another bag of his food and his glucosamine chews.

Well it is almost 7:30 a.m. and 1/2 hour till I officially start work although I will start a bit early.

Getting set up ….. and all.

Please keep an eye on any seniors or friends/family/neighbours that have mobility issues …. checking with them daily by phone, text or even if you set up a way to say hello

by going to their house, ringing the doorbell or knocking and they come to the window and wave or thumbs up.

Something ….

We need to keep an eye on each other.

Another new phrase “social distancing.”

Perhaps it is not new but I had not heard it before recently.

Be safe …..

Treat others and yourself with Kindness and Respect.

Watch some old movies for fun.

Always, Carol & Alvin

I got the first day of spring mixed up.

It would appear that spring officially came upon us YESTERDAY.

Oh my ……

I saw a bunny with a brown tail and ears.

That is the best sign ever.

It is a NEW YEAR.

Good Morning All.

Well today is my first day of working from home.

We left work yesterday during early afternoon hours with laptops in tow.

I managed with a tinge of assistance from a co-worker on line to get set up.

I moved my office around and set up the laptop (which I have not really worked on before).

Set up theĀ  mouse and I am so glad that I brought home my keyboard, that was a good move.

Thank you to a fellow coworker who had decided to take hers home.

It was so much easier setting things up.

My office looks strange with my APPLE on one end and the laptop on the other.

Shortly I will turn on the laptop and start the day ….. my work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Still almost one hour but I want to do my timesheet and have everything open before 8:00 AM.

Poor Mr. Alvin is definitely wondering what is going on.

I think he noticed that I did not put on much makeup other than some eyebrow gel stuff and some lip care.

I think he definitely noticed that I did not put on my dress clothes and I know he noticed that I put on my work socks.

I did that just to throw him off.

He is just so smart.

I am kind of anxious to see what happens when I am on the phone (work) …. we have been hooked up through an APP for our phone.

This should be interesting.

Alvin does not like it when I am on the phone.

Hopefully after the day he settles into me working from home.

Much different than a weekend.

Yesterday my daughter picked me up some fruit, vegetables and bread.

She also picked me up a bag of CHICAGO popcorn (one with the cheese and caramel popcorn).

This was a treat for me, how sweet of a girl do I have.

The streets are still busy here or at least they were yesterday.

Our street has had cars zipping by all morning.

I wonder if this will change.

Well I am anxious to go and get my coffee and get started.

It will be much different working on a laptop small screen compared to our big computer screen at work.

Likely a bit slower going back and forth between windows but at least we are working.

Our clients will be happy about that.

I think some of them figure that with the doors closed to the public that we are not working.

But we are ….. we certainly are ….

We are all in this together.

Well time to go and get things going.

Starting to get light out there.

Be kind and respectful to all you encounter.

Remember to check on your elderly neighbours and those that are not able to get out and about.

If someone has a pet and they are sick, help out.

Make sure they have food for their pets.

If they have a dog …. take the dog for a walk.

Help where you can.

Be grateful you are well and are able to do so.

From an eternally grateful human being,

I remain as Always, Carol with her trusty friend Alvin

My geranium is blooming like crazy.

Outside the bunnies are beginning to turn brown.

Spring is official tomorrow.

Forgot to mention that I saw a coyote downtown on my my to work yesterday morning.

My daughter says there are many of them downtown due to the River Valley being close by.

It is a NEW YEAR.

Good Morning All.

How are you today?

Alvin and I are well.

For some reason beyond my expertise, Mr. Alvin was up and down every couple of hours.

He does not appear to be ill or in pain.

Perhaps he just senses all the madness that is going on in the world around him.

I have tried to ensure that I do not bring the “worry” home with me.

Looks like I will be working from home starting tomorrow.

That will be different.

One of my neighbours braved a trip to COSTCO and was able to pick me up a bag of coffee beans.

The necessity …. cannot go without coffee.

I usually don’t make coffee during the week at home as our office supplies us with free daily coffee (we are so lucky).

So that will spending more on coffee.

I am grateful though that we can do most of our jobs at home.

Working on a laptop instead of a computer will be strange.

I am hopeful that it will all work out.

Alvin will be happy to have me at home ( I hope ).

Last night we had a nice walk.

We did not bump into many folks out walking.

At the end of the day we need to remain as close to normal or to the new norm as possible.

Start a new routine.

Make sure if you are working from home that you set up a comfortable work space.

Work your same hours.

Take your breaks and lunch.

Likely a good idea to be away from any family members.

So that you can concentrate.

Go for a walk after work.

If you have a daily exercise plan – like going to the gym.

There is always some form of exercise show on television.

Follow along.

Eat your meals on time.

Drink lots of water.

They say it is very important to remain hydrated.

If you have a neighbour that lives by themselves, check on them daily.

Being isolated on your own terms is one thing but when family and friends are not able to visit on a regular basis, isolation can be a threat to your well being.

So reach out.

Do not spend much time on SOCIAL MEDIA.

There is so much negativity out there and false reports.

No one needs to worry unnecessarily.

I think we should be concerned but not to let it keep you awake at night.

Wash your hands and stay away from crowds.

Stay home if possible.

All we can do at this time, is be good to each other.

Treat all around us with kindness and respect.

I am so grateful for the warming trend over the next week or so.

Perhaps SPRING is close.

Babies ….. buds on the trees …..

I love spring.

The smell of melting snow and our world returning to life.

One of the gals that I work with is giving me a ride to and from work today.

It is laptop day …… something new to learn.

Should be interesting.

Well time to fly.

Take Alvin downstairs and finish putting things together.

Have a wonderful day.

Be safe.

Always, Carol & Alvin
