Hello,

Wow, we had the most beautiful sun drenched Thursday.

So happy that Alvin and I were able to enjoy it with a walk and the mowing of our backyard.

Happy Friday the 13th.

I believe it is going to be a great day.

My youngest brother was born on Friday the 13th in January many moons ago.

 

As the past couple of weeks have ALL about my boy, I thought that I would share a poem that I wrote to him on our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of being together.

 

ALVIN,

You came into my life almost a year ago ..

You were small, needy and unwell..

You made me feel anxious and sad,

Helpless and mad.

But then one day … the veil lifted.

I fell in love with YOU.

Loving your dog is unlike the love you have for a child, friend or sibling.

It is unconditional.

No strings attached.

No arguments or compliments

The view is one-sided

Or perhaps it is not.

But the feelings are felt.

It is true and inspiring.

You have taught me patience.

To be more loving.

You came into my life late one night.

Almost one year ago.

An idea not conceived thoroughly

But yet ….. it was …

You are where you are supposed to be.

Lucky ME.

I am blessed to have you in my life.

We are joined at the hip (sometimes at the foot) LOL.

But nonetheless we are joined.

I love you Alvin.

You bring me great joy.

Continual amazement.

I know that you understand me.

Each word ….. even when you tilt your head to the side.

I know you know….

Thought for the day…..

Happy Friday, December 2nd, 2011.

I hope that you are having a splendid day thus far.

It is almost 6:10 a.m. here in Edmonton.

The wind is blowing giving the house some eerie sounds.

Alvin has stood up and looked ….. when one of the Christmas decorations outside was hitting against the house.

Oh, the wind.

So on this Friday ….. what are you doing?

Sleeping in or up already?

Play day or work?

Baking or shopping?

I am doing a bit of everything on this day.

As always ….. there is always room to enjoy.

Put a smile on your face and enjoy this Friday.

Wind or calm.

Up or not.

It is bath day for Mr. Alvin tomorrow and Christmas card writing for me.

Thought for the day…..

Well here we are and it is Sunday, July 31st, 2011.  I was pleasantly surprised when Alvin slept in until almost 7 this morning.  Quite the change from his usual 4 for the past few days.  I sure am curious to know what thoughts go through his head.  Wonder what do our pets think?  I know he understands most of the things that I say.  I would say that we have become joined at the hip for better or for worse.  He is a good friend and companion.  Although I would love some feedback from him other than the occasional grabbing of my jeans, sock or leg…… ouch.  He has a great personality.  We are always meeting new people when we are out walking.  We have a lovely routine, me and Alvin.  So to all those pets out there ….. I say HAVE A GRR EAT DAY…..

I hope that your Moms and Dads are looking after you with great care and that you look after them right back.

Thought for the day …… just random thoughts about my life.  I am blessed.  Truly.  No matter what happens I know that everything will work out perfectly.  Thank you Alvin for coming into my life.  Now all you have to do is live to be 100 as that is how old I am going to live to be….. Happy Days.

Thought for the day….

Wow, here we are at Thursday, July  7th, 2011.

Hard to believe that 2011 is half over.

My thought for the day is this……

Are you finding that the days pass by quickly?

Are you finding that your “to do” list is partially completed by the end of the day …. or the week?

Are you finding that you are left wondering by the end of each day ….. what exactly happened to those last 12 hours.???

You are not alone.

I am certain that most of us find ourselves in that place.

But we must try and live our lives, daily, moment by moment.

If in that moment – we are doing our very best ….. then I say “to heck with the to do list” …..

Just live your life.

Have a great day.

Keep the energy positive and the motions forward and you will be fine.

Thought for the day……

I am so excited about 2011.  Lots of ideas are floating around my head …… just have to grab them and get to work.

So the thought for this day is ……. take a chance……..you are a being of perfection …… you can do anything you chose…..

Remember to dream and go for it…….
