Thought for the day …..

Sometimes it is good to take a step back and in this case to April 12th, 2012.

Here are my thoughts ….. funny how they are similar to what I am feeling today.

Good Great Thursday April 12th, 2012 …..

Good Morning All …..

I just want to start by saying thank you to all those folks who take the time out of their busy schedules to read my blog.

I really appreciate your thoughtfulness.

I think with this wonderful technology it is amazing that someone can read my words from across the world.

I have always wanted to write a book and have people all over the world read my stories.

Now with my blog ….. my dreams are becoming realized.

This is a first step for me, and I do want to write an actual book(s) one day soon.

This prairie farm girl turned small town gal, and finding her way to the big city along the way ….. is so amazed by all of this.

Often we look at how fast it works, and what it can do for one but at the end of the day it is a simple fact….. you can write a story or your thoughts and within seconds someone in Greece or China or Australia can read what you have written.

It just boggles the mind ….. I LOVE THIS.

Can you imagine what the past great writers would have thought of this ….. or perhaps they did in some way.  🙂

So for this wonderful Thursday ….. my final thought is this ….. even though you have this dream and you think that it is too big ….. just start moving in that direction and where the mind goes …. the body will follow.

Simple fact.

Thought for the day…..

Wow, it is WEDNESDAY, January 11th, 2012 (whoops had to correct to 2012 …. first typed 2011).

I must admit that I have written down 2011 a few times but right away caught myself and made the correction.

How many times have you inadvertently written down last year instead of this one?

It is okay …… after writing down 2011 for 365 days ….. it is no wonder that we take a few times to get it correct.

It is like anything in life …… sometimes you need a few tries to get it just right.

If we got everything perfect on the very first try …… how boring would that be.

We are human beings and although most of us try and would like to be perfect …..

As good as it may be …… we seldom reach that diamond glistening mirror ball.

That’s okay.

Actually I think we are perfect ….. really perfect just the way that we are…..

It is the things that we do and want that we think make us perfect or not.

We, ourselves ….. are perfection …… I am perfect for me and you are perfect for you.

Does this make sense?

I know that I work on and want to be the best me that I can be.

Not the best you or the best Miss Jones down the street.

But the best me.

I think that if we just be the best that we can be ….. that’s pretty great.

Don’t try to be someone else.

Thought for the day……

Happy January 2nd, 2012 and it is Monday.  One more day off before heading back to the office.

I worked at my part-time job yesterday and,  was amazed at how many people were out shopping.

The mall was packed and it seemed to be as busy as it was on the 23rd of December.

I did ask some people why they were out on January 1st …. shopping.

Some replied:  “for the exercise as they were tired of sitting around … eating” ….

Some were there for the sale thinking that the mall would be quiet …. (big surprise).

No matter what the reason they were happy to be finding great sales (stretching their dollars even further).

So that made me happy.  I love working at the mall …… talking to people.

Almost every shift that I work at the mall there is always someone from Saskatchewan so it makes me feel closer to my old home, family and friends.

Yesterday there were some friends that had come to Edmonton for the weekend to do some shopping.

They even  knew where Windthorst, Corning, Glenavon and Kipling were, and one of the girls was from Wolseley, I was so excited.

Also one of my friends from my neighbourhood whom I had not seem since last summer was in the store (so that was great).

I ended up putting in an extra couple of hours because we were so busy (no one had expected it).

So it was good for everyone.

So on my last day of the long weekend ….. I am going to take down the Christmas tree, put away the decorations from all over the house (inside only), do some laundry, return a phone call and perhaps make one or two, wash the floors and enjoy coffee with my daughter.  So it will be a great day.  Even slept in extra late this morning (8:30 is a huge difference from my usual up time of 5:00).
