The New YEAR 2022

Good Morning ALL! Welcome to Monday, January 17, 2022. Today is a special day and a very special post.

Today marks the 100th Birthday of comedic television and movie legend “Miss Betty White.” Her career spanned eight decades. I loved her for many reasons. She made me laugh, she made us all laugh. She was kind to animals and helped them in any way that she could. She was Betty, just herself. Betty White was a great human being. The world mourns Betty today.

I loved watching Betty in the Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Golden Girls, Hot in Cleveland, The Proposal, hearing her voice in The Lorax and Toy Story 4 and so many more. Her credits would fill many pages.

I am so grateful that she shared herself with us all by making us laugh and for showing everyone that animals matter. The television and big screen will not be the same without her.

She showed us all that age is just a number and it is the mindset that really counts. Betty showed us all that no matter your age – if you love doing something – you could do it forever.

Oh, how I loved that sharp wit, her impeccable timing. She truly was a force.

I had so wished that she would have reached 100 years and beyond.

I wished that she would have lived forever.

Happy Birthday Betty.

We miss you, I miss you.

Every time I use my special Betty White coffee mug – I shall think of you, Betty.

I hope that she touched you with her love of animals and that perhaps you will take the time to donate some money or volunteer in a shelter or adopt an animal that needs a good home.HAPPY HAPPY 100th BIRTHDAY TO OUR ANGEL BETTY WHITE!

Continuing to live this life with kindness, respect, compassion, patience, love, laughter, understanding, gratitude, focus and possibilities.

Always, Carol & Alvin

P.S. Well it is raining here in Edmonton, I could see my breath when I opened the back door. The sidewalks are sheer ice. Even Alvin does not want to go outside, I will have to go out with him. He went out at 4:00 a.m. but not since. Take care out there.

Thought for the day ……

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday the 15th day of January, 2016.

Another round of snow ….

We had the snow globe effect off and on yesterday and overnight.

I love the white fluffy stuff …. easy to shovel and looks so pretty.

Like diamonds shining in the sky …. but laying on the ground.

So beautiful.

Makes me want to lay down and be one with the snow…..

Well maybe …..

Likely at 58 that is not a great idea …. but it is a thought.

Last night after Alvin had his supper and stuff …. we went out onto the deck ….. figured I would do some shovelling.

Once I had the deck shovelled ….. Alvin decided he wanted to play.

Oh, how I wish that I had taken my camera outside and grabbed a quick video of him.

The game is …. I pretend I am a monster ….. I walk with my legs wide apart …. arms in the air and say “GRR GRR ” and so on.

Anyone listening or seeing would be laughing at me for sure …..

He loves it ….. he literally runs in circles and when he goes between the different levels of the section closest to the house and the mid part he does this little hop, skip thing.

OMG, it melts my heart and makes me laugh out loud.

He will do this forever ….. as long as I will …..

I figured after doing this for awhile that would take the place of the walk to the park ….. he definitely got his fresh air and exercise.

He has personality that one …. oh me Alvin …… I love you.

I did want to mention and I am certain that everyone has heard of their passings but we lost this past few days:  music genius David Bowie, actor extraordinaire Alan Rickman and Rene Angelil, superb manager to Celine Dion and many others over the years.

We shall miss them all and their creativity.

Well almost time to start putting on the finishing touches before I leave to catch the bus to work.

The bus ride is basically one hour and is a wonderful time to reflect and sometimes even catch some extra sleep.

Have a wonderful day.

Special Hello to: all those tea lovers out there ……

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day…..

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 1st day of May, 2014.

Let the bells ring and the birds sing it is the first day of May.

So what are your thoughts this fine morning.

Well earlier I always go through everything that I am grateful for …….

Then for some odd reason and this is the strangest thing …. my thoughts were going to “George Clooney” ….

Yes, that George ….. not sure why.

I mean I think he is a great actor and certainly handsome.

But why would I keep thinking of him.

I was thinking wow he finally met the girl of his dreams.

Where did he met her?

She lives in London and doesn’t sound like they travel in the same circles.

But why does it matter?

My mind kept turning …

I didn’t know his BFF was Cindy Crawford and husband Randy (forget his last name).

Why would I know that anyway?   Laughing slightly aloud.

I then thought “Where is my George Clooney” or “Looking for my George Clooney” …. kind of has a ring to it.

This could be the mantra of all us single ladies …. that is if we are inclined to be looking for someone.

It could also work for the guys as well ….. perhaps not “George Clooney” ….

Anyway it is always funny the things that pop into one’s head.

Time to go to work and take my mind off George Clooney.

Ah, sad for most that he is off the marriage market …. oh, that sounds …. yikes.

Have a great Thursday and May 1st ….

Special Hello to: all those single gals looking for their George Clooney ……

Always, Carol and Alvin
