Last Half 2022 – September

Good Morning ALL! How are you this morning. Today is September 11, 2022.

To all those who lost a family member or friend at the World Trade Centre this date in 2001, you have my deepest sympathies. To all the first responders and others involved in the rescue operations, you have my deepest respect. To all those who were lost as a result of this terrible tragedy, I send my deepest sympathies to their family and friends. Time has passed but you have not been forgotten.

On this Sunday morning there is a bit of a breeze as I watch the trees gently swaying back and forth. The sun is shining. Yesterday the sky was filled with smoke from the fires in British Columbia and Jasper, Alberta. So hard to breathe.

Yesterday I did some yard work, laundry, baked some unbaked chocolate macaroons and other odds and ends before heading out for a walk with Mr. Alvin about 2:00 p.m. We had been invited to stop by for a visit and catch up with our friend Pauline. We had a great visit and I filled her in on all of our news including Alvin’s latest health concerns and the return to work order. She had lots of good news which nicely offset my news. Of course, not everything out of my mouth was “not good.” I am over the moon happy about the results from Mr. Alvin’s ultrasound from last Tuesday. We headed home just before 4:00 p.m.

When we arrived home Mr. Alvin was ready for supper so shortly thereafter he ate. I had supper early as last night was paint night. My painting the second from the left first row. The other piece of artwork was a piece of paper towel that I had been wiping my excess paint onto, it turned out to be a work of art. I might even frame it.

This morning Mr. Alvin wanted outside once again. There I saw Bogart straddling the fence. Alvin looking at him and Bogart looking at Alvin. Oh our boys.

I had a great time painting last night. For some reason I was not feeling very artistic but I loved the company. Signe and her Mom sure know how to host a party. It was wonderful to be out and about.

Lots of food and drink and great company.

Well time to head downstairs and have some coffee and get this day going. I have brought up the laundry and put away and made our bed and got dressed, lol, so that is something.

We are having some friends over for a visit and to chat about Alvin.

Happy Sunday.

Continuing to live this life with kindness, respect, compassion, patience, love, laughter, understanding, gratitude, focus and possibilites and COFFEE.

The New YEAR 2022

Good Morning ALL! I hope this finds you doing GREAT on this Thursday, April 28, 2022. Almost the end of April and one more day closer to SUMMERTIME. Yesterday those grey clouds gave us rain which turned into snow. The snow actually stuck to the deck and to the grass until later in the afternoon when the sun came out off and on. Last night it froze but the ground is bare. Lots of moisture. The sky is a brilliant blue this morning with that old SUN shining brightly down upon us. As I glance out of my upstairs office window the trees appear to be still. Lately that it is rare. Weather, gotta love it or put up with it as there is no other choice.

With the snow and rain we did not get out for a walk until after work. We got almost half way round the park/pond by our house and then Mr. Alvin decided enough and headed for home. When he makes up his mind there is little changing it. So back home we went. Still was great to get a walk in no matter the length. All fresh air is good for the mind, body and soul.

After work today the plan is to go for a walk with our friend Pauline. She is recovering from some health issues (NOT COVID) and we look forward to seeing her and catching up.

I was thinking this morning of all the places that I travelled/lived over my almost 65 years on this planet. Perhaps not too many compared to others but enough all the same. So I am going to list a few of them before I sign off:

Corning area (farm), Windthorst, Saskatoon and Regina – Saskatchewan

Lumby, Vancouver, Victoria, – British Columbia

Vilna (farm) and Edmonton – Alberta

Toronto, Niagara Falls – Ontario

Montreal, Quebec City – Quebec

Winnipeg, Brandon – Manitoba

New York City

Las Vegas – Nevada

San Diego and Los Angeles – California

McAllen, Padre Island – Texas

Minot – North Dakota

Black Hills – South Dakota

Nebraska, Oklahoma, Arizona,

Mexico

There are so many others but here are a few.

Have an awesome day. Try and think of all the places you have visited or lived.

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 9th day of May, 2016.

The sky was overcast and looked quite dreary less than one hour ago but now it is beginning to clear as the sun rises to meet the day.

It is cool in the house this morning as I turned the furnace off a couple of weeks ago with the heat wave we have been experiencing.

The air conditioning is on but I have the temperature high enough that it does not kick in or we would be freezing.

Monday mornings always seem to come quickly.

I certainly could have slept longer.

Mr. Alvin is curled up on the foot of our bed looking like a bug in a rug, so comfy and cozy.

He had a haircut and bath on Saturday and is looking mighty handsome, I will say.

Our beloved Elton was not feeling well and his Mom and Dad took him to the Emergency hospital very early Mother’s Day morning.

They were able to take him home as they gave him medicine so that he would not get sick to his stomach.

We are hopeful that it is nothing serious.

He is a tough little guy.

Today they will have some answers hopefully.

Does it not seem that we all have a few days that seem to run kind of smoothly and then things go wrong.

I do try most of the time to be positive but some days I will admit it is a struggle.

Well time to finish getting ready for work.

I hope that you have a great day wherever you may be.

Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with all of our Northern Neighbours.

Be safe.

We also hope that our four-legged and other little ones are able to be rescued.

There are also fires burning in and around Fort St. John, B.C. – our thoughts and prayers are with each of you.

Take care our families.

Special Hello to:  YOU

Always, Carol and Alvin
