Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday the 13th day of June, 2017.

How are you today?

I am great ……

Alvin and I enjoyed our walk with our friends and then visits with ours on the way home.

The skies are overcast this morning but I can see a bit of clear skies to the far south.

Forecast is for rain today and a bit cooler on the temperature side.

Mr. Alvin decided to get up about 11:00 p.m. and walk about the back yard last night.

I of course, had to get up with him although I watched from the back door window.

What a guy and then was ready to get up bright and early.

Safe to say that I am running just a tad late this morning.

Do your pups and kids get up at odd hours and such?

Somedays …..

Oh well, I can doze on the bus so that is good.

The sky almost appears to be a purple colour ….. quite pretty, actually.

Well I am definitely just babbling here as my mind is downstairs with me putting on my jacket and shoes.

So guess should fly ….. have an awesome Tuesday.

Remember to always take time for YOU.

You are important and without you there would be no me.

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday the 5th day of February, 2016.

YAY, it is Friday.

Both Alvin and I have been waiting “patiently” for this day …..

We still have a few hours to wait but it is closer than it was yesterday.

Tonight after work my daughter is picking me up (we now end at the same time) from work.

She is coming to our house for “STIR FRY” ….. one of her favourite things to eat.

We are so excited.

I even prepared the veggies last night so that all I have to do is cook the rice and actually cook the stir fry … no prep.

We love having her come for a visit.

At the mere mention of his beloved sister’s name he gets excited wagging his tail and usually runs back and forth from the front living room windows to the back door.

Sometimes she comes parks on the street and comes in from the front and other times through the garage.

I miss her even though she is not really far away.

We email every day ….. neither of us are really telephone chatters …. but when we need to we do for sure.

I even save some of her messages so when I need to hear her voice …. it is like she is right beside me.

She is truly my BEST FRIEND and the most WONDERFUL DAUGHTER, a Mom could ever ask for ….. sorry Alvin ….. he is the best BOY ….. SON.

Well here we are almost time to leave for work.

The morning got away on me.

Thought for the day…..

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 2nd day of October, 2014.

We are in the countdown to Halloween.

Last night with mention of you know what, I decided to quickly move the patio furniture into the garage and to clean out the remaining flower pots.

My son-in-law came out and helped lift the bigger stuff into the garage.

It was cool last night and the wind was blowing so I half expected to see some of the white stuff when I got up this morning.

But alas, Mother Nature decided to give us another reprieve.

Thank goodness.

I would love to have a long warm fall.

Where the white stuff did not arrive until say “Christmas morning.”

It has happened.

Perhaps this will be that year when it will happen again.

We can only hope and maybe dream.

Perhaps I should start visualizing a brown Christmas Eve.

I am excited on Saturday to start decorating for Halloween.

As I mentioned my kids have some great decorations …. now just to find them…..

Yikes, Mr. Alvin ….. we need your nose ….. that wonderful nose.

He is a hunter for sure.

Kind of gave me a scare this morning when we were doing our usual nap on the sofa when he stood on the arm of the sofa looking to the back door.

Very intently, I might add.

I hopped up and turned on the kitchen light from the sofa.

He kept looking and then got up and was sniffing by the back cupboard and also by the stove.

Paw up …. like the hunter he is.

My gosh, this had better not be another you know what ……

We will be keeping a close eye on this things.

We did check the outside of the house and did not find anywhere …

I cannot even fathom saying their name …. no, I cannot.

Well enough of that …..

He could have heard anything or smelled anything, right?

Thought for the day…..

Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday the 17th day of June, 2014.

It is slightly overcast here in Edmonton but quite mild.

I am excited because I took a day of vacation next Monday and will have an extra long weekend.

This is my last “Friday” off as we are changing our scheduling at the office.

So to have an extra long weekend is awesome.

To be grateful for all that you have on an ongoing basis is so important.

You never know when it could disappear.

 

Every morning when I look out the back door / kitchen window / office window – I see gorgeous flowers that are filling up and out.

So pretty.

Last night when Alvin and I went for a walk by our park we noticed that all of the “wild roses” are budding.

One of the roses decided to give us a sneak peek at it’s gloriousness …. by unfurling a few petals.

OMG, so beautiful.

I could just imagine all of the pink flowers and their glorious fragrance.

Soon it shall be our reality.

Thought for the day….

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday the 22nd of November, 2013.

Man oh man, it is snowing like crazy.

The snow flakes are getting bigger and bigger.

It started out with smaller finer flakes last night and now they are huge.

More and more shovelling.

It looks like it is going to be the year of the shovel.

I am very grateful that I have two of them.

One is perched out on the front porch and the other is by the back door.

Definitely will b shovelling before I go to work at the store this evening.

Already the deck has a bank over my head.

Lots of snow this year.

I love snow but prefer to have less at one time.

It is pretty in the evening when the street lights shine on it making each flake look like a diamond.

Like a diamond mine but outside.

So gorgeous.

Well now that I have told you all about our weather here in Edmonton.

I guess that is where my thoughts lie this morning.

I have lots to do this morning …. ice and decorate sugar cookies (the last piece of my baking exchange).

The baking exchange is tomorrow morning.

Also my grand-puppies are coming over bright and early about 5:00 a.m. tomorrow I believe and Alvin will be with them.

So will have a great day with friends, kids and puppies.

Time to get going.

COFFEE is calling.

Thought for the day……

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday, the 23rd day of May 2013.

Just have to tell you the cutest thing ……

I have an ottoman under the office window so that Alvin can climb up and look out the window.

He always climbs up and looks out when I am in the office.

This morning he has been up to the window several times …. I check ed out the window and couldn’t see anything.

His tail is waggling away.

He climbs up and looks out and then down runs around the office and then back to the window.

Not sure what he is seeing but it sure is cute.

He has already been up to the window about 15 times since I started to write my blog.

He is also now downstairs barking at the back door ….

So I guess that means I have to go and check things out.

 

I hope that you have a fantastic Thursday.

My day is already off to a great start.

The sun is shining and the birds are singing somewhere.

Perhaps they will come to nest in my bird house.
