Thought for the day ……

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 16th day of December, 2015.

Not sure if I was not counting right but this morning when I checked the calendar including day and not including Christmas Day there are “EIGHT” days …..

Really I thought there were like nine or ten….. with Christmas Eve or without …..

I think I lost a day somewhere ….

Oh well …… will have to practice my numbers ….. one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten ….. so far so good.

I guess one just has to have a sense of humour and not be afraid to get the facts/details not quite right.

Sometimes people get so hung up on the facts/details … which I do know are so  important.

But losing sight of what is truly important ….

Why debate with someone over a detail that will not end the world.

Why not let it go …. just move on.

I am a detail person but have found that over the recent years I am slowly letting things go ….

Not getting so hung up that my feelings are hurt if I have to let someone be right even though I know that I am right.

Really what difference does it make.

Something like losing a day when counting.

The fact that it did not snow on this day last year.

Or that Aunt Liz was an avid reader and your cousin thought she was into crafts.

At the end of the day ….. it really is not that important (other than being metrologist and you are really keeping track for historical purposes about the snowfall that is).

I am not sure why … now I remember … I lost count in the days leading up to Christmas.

See 277 words to explain ….

Wow, Alvin was just laying down and jumped up and is looking about ….. wonder what that is all about.

I want to keep my house with the only living creatures being Alvin and myself.

Well here it is mid week ….

I am always so excited to check the mailbox this time of year to see if I have received any Christmas cards.

I love to receive cards and letters.

Nice to reconnect with family and friends.

Catch up ….. love those letters.

Well almost time to get into the bedroom and start to get the “face” on (which is considerably less than in my youth), and dressed for work.

Thank you for reading my blog …. it truly means the world to me.

To be able to connect literally with folks such as yourself from every corner of this planet.

Have a wonderful day.

Special Hello to: my friends who always will be my friends….near or far.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day….

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday the 18th day of October, 2013.

Well here we are again …. the weekend.

Tonight one of the lottery jackpots is $50,000,000.00.

Can you imagine?

I often think of what I would do when I win the lottery.

I know I am going to win …. just a matter of when.

Perhaps I should be making a vision board.

I do make lists of what I would do.

WOW, it would be crazy good to always have more money than you need at any one time.

So make that list.

Create that vision board.

Visualize.

WINNER – WINNER – WINNER – WINNER – WINNER.

Tropical vacation …. Hawaii here we come.

So wonderful …..

I can see myself relaxing on a lounge chair by the water with a big floppy hat on reading a book, mmm.

Well let us all use our imaginations today and start making our dreams come true.

Maybe it is winning the lottery or maybe it is simply being able to go to visit your family who lives faraway.

Whatever it might be ….. we can do it.

Have a great day.

Special Hello to: DREAMERS ….. WE ROCK.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day…..

Good Monday Morning and welcome to May 28th, 2012 ….. just after 6:00 a.m.

Wow, it has been over one week since my last blog.

I was on vacation last week and although I definitely had the time to write, I decided to take a break.

I had a great week with my Alvin and grand-puppies, Elton and Penny.

There are lots of cute stories to relate to you over the next few blogs.

My kids had a great vacation in San Diego.  They took in the Zoo, Sea World and some beaches to name a few places they visited.

Back in Edmonton, it rained for a few days making me feel lazy.  So I definitely got some relaxing in which was great.

Cuddles with the puppies and when it was dry out we went for walks.

My “to do” list remains almost as long as it was prior to my vacation but then again “vacation” is for having fun and relaxing and that is pretty much what happened.

I did pick up some flowers and got them planted in pots, I did mow the grass, I did dust and sweep the floors …… I did the basics.

Well the sun is coming up …. I love sunrises…. and the promise of a beautiful warm sunny day.

This morning I have to be at work extra early so will sign off soon.

I hope that you all had a wonderful week and had some time to relax and have fun.

I watched more television than I have in a long time and it was good to sit back and drink coffee.

So from me and Alvin ….. have a wonderful Monday.

Special Hello to:  YOU, and YOU and YOU, too…….

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day ……

Whenever possible spend the day with your loved ones.

My family (Alvin, Amanda, Steven, Elton & Penny) and I went on a little adventure today.

Despite some slightly unpleasant moments and feeling sorry about them …… we endured and had a lovely day.

The thing is,  poor little Al does not “enjoy” riding in the car.  Despite his Mom’s attempts (gravol), he threw up on our way to Pembina River Provincial Park.  Thank goodness someone’s “Mother” always is prepared.

We had an awesome picnic, and hiked up the nearby “mountain” to look at the river below, breath-taking, for sure.   Took some photos and  enjoyed the car ride.

We stopped at some other hot spots on our way back to Edmonton.  Seba Beach (not sure of the spelling) – enjoyed looking at the beautiful beach side homes/cottages (we decided that is where we want to have a cottage/beach house), and Alberta Beach (where dogs are not allowed on the beach).  Oh, we even stopped by Penny’s birthplace.  Very cool.

We are going to research and find places that are “puppy friendly” for our next adventure.

But despite Alvin’s motion sickness or phobia about riding in cars, we had a great day.

I love spending time with my family including the “four legged ones”.

So my thought for the day is this: SPEND TIME WITH YOUR FAMILY OR PEOPLE THAT YOU LOVE.  GO OUT AND DO SOMETHING YOU DO NOT NORMALLY DO……AND JUST ENJOY.

I had the BEST TIME !

Tomorrow is Chapter 2 of the Lewis/Hobbs Garage Sale.  I believe that we will sell everything this go round !!

Till tomorrow …….

Always, Carol
