Thought for the day…..

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 8th day of April, 2015.

Well I will admit that I am running a couple of minutes behind so this will be short.

Starting to get used to the new schedule.

Thought better try it before the kids move to their new house.

I will be leaving the house at 6:10 so that I can catch the bus and hopefully arrive at the office before 7:30 a.m.

This will be for a short time.

Then I will be able to leave about 6:30 a.m. for the office.

Which doesn’t seem like much but early in the morning 20 minutes, is 20 minutes.

Last night I signed up with my friend “G” for boot camp.

Every Tuesday night for eight weeks.

I knew that I was out of shape but it makes you realize just how “inactive” we really are in our day to day lives.

I feel good this morning other than tired …..

Perhaps tomorrow will be the telling story.

I break my time down into segments in the morning.

That way I know what needs to be done and how much time I have ….. seems to work.

The kids are home today as they go for the final walk through in their brand new house.

I am beyond excited to see the finished product.

Hopefully I can make it over before they get moved in ….. like to see it while it is empty.

Well I had better hop to it here.

I hope that you have an amazing Wednesday.

Remember to try something new ….. mine is the boot camp.

I did go once but never signed up for the class.

I am looking forward to finally getting my core back to it’s original glory.

Or at least have a core that works.

Special Hello to: my sister ….. I miss you.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day…..

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 26th day of November, 2014.

I just had a thought.

What is the best gift in the world to receive?

The gift that you did not ask for?

Is that not the truth?

I received two Christmas cards in the mail last night.

At work on breaks and before and after work I wrote up some cards.

I did not have the address of one of my friend’s as they moved and I said to myself “Will have to leave that one till I get home and get her address”

Who do you think one of the cards was from?  My friend, of course.

The other was from a family friend …. she is family.

Anyway she has a son and I have always addressed the card to include him and this year he has a girlfriend ….. that was the second card.

I needed to know her name to put on the card …. isn’t that great.

Oh, boot camp last night was AWESOME.

I feel great and hopefully that will continue.

Was a great workout and I loved working out beside my friend even though you barely had time to see who was around you.

I had the best Tuesday night.

Well time to go to work.

I hope that you have an awesome day.

Special Hello to: all those people who take the time to write Christmas cards – it is appreciated.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day…..

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the first DAY of October, 2014.

Can you believe it?

It is October ….. time to start putting up the Halloween decorations …..

I know what I will be starting to do on the weekend.

Likely it is time to pull the last of the flowers …. yes, I still have some that are blooming.

Poor flowers though, I have been forgetting to water them on a regular basis.

But somehow they are managing to hang in there for yet another day.

I am so grateful.

Love me some flowers.

Also time to pack up the patio furniture and get the deck ready for winter.

Argh, did I say the “w” word.

No….. no I did not.

I do like winter ….. yes, I do.

Well it is that time to ensure that you have your home and yard fallerized ….. winterized.

I just have a few things to do.

If you need to have the furnace cleaned (if you have one) and the vents… most especially the dryer one.  Time to do it.

Change or clean the furnace depending on whether or not you have the “green” or disposables ones.

Last mowing of the grass and fertilize if you do that …..

You know what I love ….. love….. love …

The turning of the leaves …. still some green ones on the tree out front.

But lots of golden ones lying on the ground below the tree.

I love to run or even walk through them …. kicking them about….. hearing them crunch.

Actually the trees that line the street where our office is located they have massive amounts of leaves….

I have walked for almost a block ….. kicking them about and listening to them crunch ….. crunch …. crunch.

So much fun.

What a great way to begin the day.

Well here we go again …. almost time to go to work.

I hope that you have an amazing first day of October.

Mid week ….. a good place to be.

Oh, I had the best night last night….

Alvin and I went on a long walk by the big lake and my friend “G” stopped by to drop off some carrots and to have coffee after her “boot camp” …..

We laughed and talked … talked and laughed.

A great night.

Even with two big mugs of coffee I slept ….. must have been because I went to bed with laughter in my heart and peace in my brain.

Good combination.

Well gotta go.

Special Hello to: all my friend “G” … you are a great friend.

Always, Carol and Alvin
