Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday the 17th day of August, 2018.

Yay, today is Friday.

I love Fridays.

The sky is overcast with smoke once again blocking out the sunrise.

I cannot imagine what it must be like in those areas affected by the forest fires.

We are hundreds of miles from the fires.

The air quality is poor here ….. scratches the throat and burns the eyes and congests the nose.

I pray for rain.

I am grateful to all those brave souls who go to help put out the fires.

Putting their lives at risk.

Please keep them safe.

Keep them all safe.

Please look after the animals whether domestic or wild.

Last night after work there was a bit of a reprieve from the smoke or at least it did not seem to be so much.

Alvin and I took this opportunity and went for a walk.

We left the house at 5:00 p.m. and arrived back home at 6:30 p.m.

Needless to say we stopped for visits along the way.

Our friend “P” who has the most amazing flowers was outside in the garden.

Alvin can smell her a mile away so he pulled me to her back gate.

She was ready to take a break so we sat in the shade and visited.

She offered me a nice glass of iced tea and Alvin some treats.

I had water with me for Mr. Alvin which he drank most of the bottle.

We filled it up before heading for home.

I always enjoy our visits.

We chat about a number of things ….

I always learn something new.

I just saw a wasp buzzing at the office window.

Yikes, I guess they can fly high.

After we were on our way home from her house about 6:15 p.m. – we saw our friend “Jazmin” sitting on her home crafted ottoman at the window.

Alvin went to go up their walk and I said “home, buddy.”

We had not had supper yet.

But just as we were both back on the main sidewalk, I heard someone calling my name.

It was Jazmin’s Mom ….. so we went for a short visit.

Jazmin was so happy to see us.

Her Mom said that when she saw us she climbed off her ottoman and went to the door.

So happy that she is feeling better.

Well almost time to leave for work.

Have an awesome Friday.

Guess you never know where a walk will lead you or how long it will take.

Great friends, I am blessed.

Special Hello to:  all those celebrating birthdays today.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 9th day of July, 2018.

We had a shower overnight.

Did not hear a thing – must have been sound asleep.

Alvin did not stir until almost the time that the alarm went off (or would have, rather).

The sky remains overcast.

Deciding what to wear …. changed my mind completely from what I had laid out.

Again this morning Mr. Alvin urged me to massage his neck area and when I stopped he “asked politely for me to continue.”

He also did not wish to eat right away this morning.

Ate banana first (which is a first).

He does not seem to be ill but I will have him checked out on our regular visit (which is soon).

I suppose just could be an age thing.

OH, I hope so.

Please send lots of positive energy our way for me Alvin (cannot hurt).

I can hear the traffic buzzing on the highway.

Oh, he just asked “please again.”

Have to run.

Alvin needs me and it is almost time to leave for work.

Have an awesome Monday.

Good energy for us all.

Special Hello to: my sisters ……

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 9th day of March, 2016.

I thought for a different twist on my “thought for the day” that I would go back to this day last year and see what was going on.

It is great having this daily blog because I can go back yesterday, six months or several years and see how I was feeling and what was happening at that point in time.

It is a good way to gage how things have/are progressing in your life.

So this is from March 9th last year ….. it was a Monday ….. this year it is a Wednesday due to leap year.

Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 9th day of March, 2015.

WOW, seems like I was right in the middle of a dream when I heard this loud buzzing near my head.

In less than a nanosecond I realized it was the alarm and alas the dream was then over.

I do not remember much about it other than it was a good one.

Perhaps I will be able to pick up where I left off tonight when I close my eyes and approach dreamland.

I dreamt that I received a letter stating that my mortgage was paid in full.

Nice dream, right?

That is a good positive thought.

Nice to visualize “no more mortgage.”

Well almost time to go to work …

Somehow the morning got away on me.

I hope that you have a great Monday.

Keep happy thoughts floating around your mind …..

We shall keep on this positive trail together.

Sometimes it may not be so easy but we can do it.

Take Care.

Thanks for reading.

Special Hello to: family and friends, today.

Always, Carol and Alvin

P.S.  … Alvin asked to get up on my lap this morning (in his own way) … I love to cuddle with me Alvin …..

**************************************************************************

Well things have not changed so much ….. still dreaming of no mortgage …. perhaps that has to change somewhat.

I am still keeping more positive thoughts than not.

Life is not so much different than one year ago.

Have a great day.

Thanks for reading.

Special Hello to: of course you my fellow Earthling.

Always, Carol and Alvin

P.S.  funny thing is … Alvin did want up but just didn’t get that far ….. he is a funny guy.

“An unusual noise” ….

It was 10:30 p.m. last night.  Alvin and I were outside on the deck.  I was waiting for Sir Alvin to do his bedtime business.

We both were taking in the stars, the night sky was amazing.  Lots of stars.  So beautiful.  Calm and wonderful.

As we were still for a moment we were taken aback when we heard this “buzzing” noise.

Can you guess what it was?

I am certain that it was ……

A housefly.

We didn’t see it – but we sure heard that undeniable buzz.

Guess with these unusually warm temperatures, The FLY figured it was spring and woke up from his slumber.

I think he will be in for a bit of a surprise when it cools down tomorrow.

Talk about hardy …..

Well that was a cool surprise last night ……

Thought for the day

Always take the time to envelope all that “Mother Nature” provides …… it can be simply watching a butterfly flutter around your back yard, or perhaps listening to a bumblebee buzzing from one flower to another.

I promise you will always feel better during, and after taking in those precious moments that Mother Nature so beautifully provides…… really there is nothing better!
