Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 4th day of January, 2018.

Our weather for the New Year has been wonderful.

So grateful for these warmer temperatures.

Alvin and I went for our walk after work last night.

We were not quite at the half way point and he started to turn around for home, I coaxed him once again to keep going.

We only made the half way point and there was no changing his mind.

He made a run for home and I had no choice but to “run.”

If you called that running.

He was pulling and running (thankfully he wears a torso harness and not around the neck) for home.

I was so grateful that it was not icy.

Or it could have been a real show.

At some point I was able to get him to slow down.

What a guy!

He does not seem to be in pain or anything but when he wants to go home, he wants to go.

Maybe he can sense something.

Maybe he does not like the dark.

Thank goodness each night stays light a bit longer.

Anyway made for an interesting walk.

Oh, my boy.

What a character.

When we arrived home and removed “our” outerwear – he ran like a crazy guy from one end of the house to the other.

He keeps me entertained.

Well here we go once again, time to leave for work.

Special Hello to: all my fellow bloggers.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 27th day of July, 2017.

Well I will say one thing ….. as much as I do enjoy summer …. when the temperatures rise over about 22 degrees …. it is too much for me.

Yesterday it was over 28 degrees celsius in the City which really feels warmer.

Today is supposed to be 30 …… makes me wish that I had gotten my air conditioning serviced sooner.

Oh well ….. I make sure that Mr. Alvin is comfortable in the house while I am at work.

I am drained …… looking forward to a little bit cooler temperatures but do not wish to complain about the warmer weather as it will be w–t– soon.

We walked last night with our walking companions but really we should have stayed home – too warm for us.

I really feel the heat and am thinking that my supper was not an appropriate choice either.

Oh well ….. moving on.

So as my brain is drained and it is early morning which is not likely a good sign …. to start the day…

Oh well, such as life.

Time to get this boat on the river …..

Have an awesome Thursday.

Special Hello to:  All my friends who are placed all over the world.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Saturday the 10th day of June, 2017.

The sky is overcast and it is windy.

Inside the house is cool ….. no it is cold.

But no furnace is being turned on at this time.

I decided to make a choice to be more upbeat and positive at work.

Making it deliberate.

Sometimes in my job it is not the easiest thing to do but even my co-workers noticed a difference.

We can always make that choice – does not matter what is going on in your life.

Make the choice to be kind, love, receptive and abundant and then all things are possible.

If you send out this most perfect blend of energy it will come back to you.

After all you receive what you give.

Needless to say I had the best day at work.

I did not take things personally.

I realize that not everyone sees things with principles.

It is a gentle reminder that no matter how badly people act you must find a way to treat them in the manner to which you would like to be treated.

I have found that when you have that good energy it is most difficult for people to keep up the negative and poor behaviour.

Win – win for everyone.

Alvin and I are super excited as my daughter, his sister and our beloved Miss Aspen are coming for a visit.

Aspen has a Doctor Appointment.

My daughter is taking me to COSTCO.

I cannot believe that I am actually excited about going to COSTCO on a Saturday and a rainy one at that.

The fridge is pretty bare and the pantry.

We have made due and used mostly everything up and it is time to refill the fridge and pantry.

I made up a recipe to use a can of pumpkin that I had in the pantry making the most delectable “Chocolate Pumpkin Muffins.”

They were perfect for lunch with some vegetables.

It will be nice to be restocked, for sure.

ANNOUNCEMENT TO MAKE:

A few days ago I had an idea to write my thoughts about turning “60.”

It came to me a little while later to do a Countdown: 60 Days to 60.

It doesn’t really seem real to me to be turning sixty.

Kind of crazy actually.

I will add a Category to this blog: Countdown: 60 Days to 60.

So starting tomorrow Sunday, June 11, 2017 being the 60th day and ending on Wednesday, August 9th, 2017 being my Birthday; I will write.

There will be daily remarks, observations, feelings, thoughts, and perhaps pearls of wisdoms.

This will be fun.

Well gotta run and get ready for our company.

Have a wonderful day.

Special Hello to: my family and friends who without I would be just a female human being.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 11th day of January, 2016.

Wow, the start of another work week and end of a beautiful weekend.

Back to getting up in the dark and thank goodness when I get home it remains light for a few minutes.

I had a great weekend.

Yesterday the outside temperature was so mild.

Both Alvin and I enjoyed a nice walk …. longer than usual.

I would have liked to stay out longer but Mr. Alvin had other ideas.

When he turns toward home you have no choice but to follow.

I know that both Alvin and I would benefit from longer walks.

So somehow I must convince him on those nicer days to stay out longer.

He is a bit more quiet this morning not that he is loud and boisterous other mornings.

He was very vocal yesterday when we made two stops on our walk.

I guess in hind sight he was telling me to get going and stop talking.

Next time I will listen.

Note: always better to stop and listen.

Well another work week …. I wish this to be a productive, quiet day.

Filled with everything good.

I guess it is time to finish getting ready to leave for the bus.

I wish you a fun-filled productive day.

Special Hello to: my friend from Sweden, I got her card on the weekend so great to hear from her.

Always, Carol and Alvin
