Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 20th day of December, 2015.

Only 4 days until Christmas Eve.

The party was great …. we drank coffee/tea …. we nibbled on sweets ….. we laughed ….. we exchanged gifts ….. we laughed some more.

Isn’t that what getting together over the holidays is all about?

Enjoying the company of friends and loved ones.

The sun is bright this morning and the sky is clear posing to be a great day.

Today will be one of those easy …. tidy up …. finish laundry kind of days.

I am still sitting in my pyjamas sipping on the first cup of coffee …. freshly perked.

Isn’t it crazy to know that today is December 20th and almost the New Year?

Each and every year seems to pass more quickly than the one before, not sure why.

I do try and fill each day of each year with so many good moments with lots of good thoughts.

I guess that is all that one can do.

One thing for sure when I compose my annual Christmas letter I always forget things that have happened throughout the year.

Not because they were any less important but mainly I think due to time passing so quickly.

Sometimes I forget that it was just a few months ago…

Time for reflection that is for sure.

Well on this last Sunday before Christmas … I hope that you are safe, warm and content.

Safe from any harm that life could bring your way.

Warm being comfortable with a roof over your head, food in your belly and with the bills all paid.

Content in knowing that you have done the very best that you could possibly do in any moment.

Have a great Sunday.

Enjoy a mug of hot chocolate or if you are in a warm place perhaps a fruity beverage.

Take care.

Special Hello to: my sisters and brothers all over this beautiful planet …. take care.

Thought for the day…..

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 13th day of November, 2014.

It is winter …… one step closer to Christmas ….. YAY.

As my mind wanders I think of the things that I have to do to be ready for the big day ….. actual the season.

I do have my house pretty much decorated except for the upstairs banister.

Oh and the outside is done.

I picked up printer cartridges last night from Costco so I can now print my letter ( just have to write it ).

So next on the agenda is Christmas Cards.

Last weekend at the store somehow got on the topic of Christmas Cards with some customers.

Mr. told me that they gave up on sending out cards because no one sent any back.

Every year I do receive less and less but I still like to send them out.

It is not about what you receive it is all about what you give.

Correct.

So I will be sending out cards again this year.

It is a tradition that is fast dying and I want to keep it alive as long as I am able.

Next will be to do some Christmas baking ….. down to two different treats for this year.

Sugar Cookies and Fudge.

They are everyones favourites.

I heard someone say the other day that there were “42” days until Christmas.

I have not counted the remaining days …. perhaps not quite just yet.

So let me see what else will need to be done.

Cards, Baking …… oh, I know ….. GIFTS.

My shopping list is small ……

At this point in my life it is more about time with loved ones ….. good food and conversation than gifts.

So on this cold winter morning I hope that you are doing well and are smiling as you finish reading my blog.

Thank you for reading.

Special Hello to: my friend “T” …. back in Windthorst, Saskatchewan as she celebrates a birthday.

Thought for the day….

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday November 29th, 2012.

One more day left of November.

WOW.

One more month left of 2012.

Have you been thinking about this past year?

I was thinking about it as I roll around in my head what to write in my Christmas letter.

Every year or at least for the last almost ten years I have written a letter highlighting my life for the past year, and putting a copy in with the Christmas cards that I mail.

This year seems to have passed so quickly that I barely remember back to January.

So that is when a journal comes in handy!

I write in one every morning. ¬†It is mainly a “gratitude” journal but I also highlight the previous day’s activities (just in case I forget).

My vacation days were spent at home.

Anyway I will figure it out.

But just wondering if all of you found yourselves in a similar spot/place.

It was a good year ……

Now is a great time to recall your year.

Take note of what worked and what did not.

Always try to remember to “be in the moment” ….. the best in that time….. and all of your days will be great.

Be mindful of people during this holiday season …. be patient and kind.

Too many people rush and lose patience.

Let us just be plain old “kind” ……

I would love to see more of that at this time of year.

People are generous with gifts to the needy and such but when it comes to being out and about …. whether shopping or driving …… they lose IT!

So find it and be kind.

Thank you.

Have a great day.

Special Hello to:  PEOPLE WHO ARE ALWAYS KIND AND SHINE THEIR LIGHTS FOR ALL TO SEE, THANK YOU.
