Second Half of the NEW YEAR – last quarter.

Good Morning ALL. What a beautiful morning it is outside. A great day is its’ way to us all. Are you ready? Close your eyes and imagine you being over the moon happy. Maybe it is talking with a family member that you have not been able to see during this pandemic. Maybe you are finally able to do something that you never have done before! OR maybe you found the most perfect gift for your sister and you have mailed it to her for Christmas. Perhaps you sent Christmas cards to a bunch of family and friends and you received your first card in the mail and it is from a friend not on your current mailing list but someone who missed you and wanted to reconnect. There are so many things that can make us happy. I am happy when I am living in a state of gratitude. I would say that I am happy more than not. Perhaps possibly yourself, a family member or friend was recently in contact with that dreadful virus and was tested and are waiting for the results – the text arrives – negative. Happiness ensues. Maybe a friend brought some unexpected treats to your door. Maybe you just woke up today. I hope that you are happy without having to actually imagine it. But if you are living in fear, doubt, sadness or the like …. then close your eyes, imagine it. Imagine that feeling of joy. Maybe it is time to grab a piece of cardboard and make a vision board. Glue or tape on some pictures of things that you would like, something that would help you in the happiness field. I want you to be happy. I would like us all to be happy, to be joyful. That does not mean that life is going to be a constant bowl filled with cherries but it does mean that if you are living your life in a state of joy and gratitude that when something to the contrary occurs, you are much better equipped to handle it. Now I am not a doctor of anything but I am 63 years old and have learned a few things over the years. What can it hurt? Try making a list of what you are grateful for? A good place to start.

Yesterday afternoon Mr. Alvin and I went for a visit to his best friend’s house. Yes, we took precautions. Teddy’s Mom does “Energy Healing” and last time she worked on Alvin but this time out of the blue she asked if she could massage my feet. An odd request. She mentioned that she missed giving her sister a foot massage. I cannot remember the last time I had my feet massaged so after some tea and treats, I had what started out to be foot massage. She told me that I am not drinking enough water and could tell by pressing on my legs that I was not. I learned a few things. About how important keeping your lymphatic system moving is. She told me that my core needed some work. Both things that I knew but when coming from someone else gave me a kickstart. I started drinking water as soon as I got back home. I am going to start ensuring that I drink 8 glasses of water each day. She showed me some exercises to get things moving. The results of not keeping the lymphatic system unblocked are not good. So let us remember to drink lots of water and not coffee like I have. Working from home …. we are sitting more than ever now. Get up and move about. Shake your legs and arms. Move it!

Well I have to go as it is almost time to start work. I have been moving about this morning and drank 2 glasses of water already. I am going to get my system going so it does not clog up.

Living my life with kindness and respect for all.

Have an awesome Monday.

Always,Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 23rd day of July, 2018.

The sky is overcast with deep blue rain clouds.

You can see the odd patch of pale blue sky to the east.

Alvin is on his little blue blanket beside me as I write this post.

He asked for a massage this morning.

I think that it is funny/strange how this all started.

He just sat beside me and placed his paw up which is his way of “asking nice.”

He figured out how to ask me for my help.

One week from tomorrow the COMPANY arrives.

YAY, my sister is coming.

She will spend a few days with us before my niece-in-law and great nephews arrive for a couple of days.

Always great to have company.

Soon I shall be on vacation.

YAY, feels like forever since I have been on vacation.

Yesterday was a great day.

We did some chores around the house and was just making pancakes when the phone rang.

My daughter called to say that she was going to come over for a visit.

Perfection.

I love making pancakes for Sunday morning company.

They turned out to be some of the best ones yet.

My daughter and baby Milo (the little grand-pup) arrived just as I was finished making the pancakes (they were keeping warm in the oven) and cleaning up.

Always a good thing as then I could concentrate on our visit.

We had a good visit along with good food.

After breakfast/brunch I borrowed her car and went to the grocery store for a few items.

Alvin had some quality time with his big sis and baby Milo.

After they left for home we just had a quiet day.

It is nice to be able to take a deep breath and relax.

Close your eyes.

Think of something or someone wonderful OR perhaps quiet your mind and think of nothing at all.

That was the beginning of our afternoon.

Eyes closed.

Then a clink clink clink ….

Eyes opened.

Raindrops hitting the windows.

Each second the rain came down harder and harder.

Lasting only a few minutes.

Glorious sunshine arrived.

Rainbow in the sky.

Eyes closed.

Deep breath.

Thank you.

Have a wonderful Monday.

Take time for yourself.

Be kind to yourself and to all others whether two-legged or four, winged or crawling.

All life is precious.

Happy Monday.

Special Hello to: THE WORLD

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 3rd day of September, 2017.

Woke up to sunshine and a slight breeze.

Of course when we were first up it was still dark but that is another story.

There are no sounds except for the clicking of the computer keys as I “type” these words and the sound of Alvin licking his paws in the hallway.

The house is relatively quiet.

The office window is closed keeping out the morning sounds and the cool morning air.

Perhaps I will open the window to feel that coolness on my face.

I opened the window and can hear the leaves rustling as they blow in the breeze.

It begins as the leaves are begin to dry out and soon shall fall from the trees.

Autumn / Fall is only a few short weeks ago, officially anyway.

Now the birds are beginning to chirp, and I can hear magpies and crows.

“No, Alvin” I say as he starts to bark to reply to their conversation.

The sky just turned a bit dark and there is rain in the forecast.

No watering for me last night with the rain which was nice and looks like perhaps not today.

Good for the water bill and better for the flowers, plants and grass.

Time for a shower and then I am going to make myself some pancakes before meeting my friend for a walk with her pups.

Hopefully we make it out before the rain.

Time will tell.

I hope you have an awesome Sunday.

Open a window or go outside, close your eyes and listen.

Do not talk just listen.

Listen to the sounds of nature.

Listen to the leaves blowing in the wind.

Listen to the birds chirping and cawing and having a conversation.

Smell the air.

Feel the air.

Enjoy these moments.

Happy Sunday.

Special Hello to: the people affected by floods and fires, we hope you are safe, warm and dry.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day…..

Good Friday Morning ….. today is March 9th, 2012 ….. Incredible…..

This morning I was in awe once again by the beauty of the moon.

When we first went outside the moon was covered by a veil of clouds but as soon as I wished to see it …… well the veil lifted, and there was the moon …. all full and stuff.

I love the moon and the stars.

Perhaps within my lifetime it will be commonplace to travel to the moon.  That would be so amazing.

I would love to go and see it up close and personal.

I have always had an infinity for what lies beyond our “doors” so to speak.

Can you imagine?  Just close your eyes and visualize Earth, the moon and what lies beyond.

Incredible.

So I hope that you have a great weekend …… play with your imagination ….. whether imaging what lies beyond Earth, a good dinner, trip to another country, sunshine on a cloudy day, winning the lottery ….. let your mind go… PLAY…

We spend so much time working to keep a roof over our heads, food in our bellies and the whole nine yards that sometimes we forget to take a few minutes for play.  I think playing using your mind to imagine your dreams or something that you would like to have is a great way to accomplish just that …… you can do it anywhere …. anytime.  GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN.   YOU CAN DO IT.

Special Hello to:  all those people who take the time  to use their imaginations and visualize their dreams and what their lives could be.

Always, Carol and Alvin (who is so cute curled up on the ottoman underneath the window in my office …..)

Thought for the day……

What do you think about right before you close your eyes to go to sleep?

What do you think about first thing when you open your eyes in the morning?

Most of us, think about everything on our to do list or all of the things that we do not wish to do.

Or just a lot of nonsense about things that were said or done.

Our minds are crowded with messages.  Just like your inbox for email.

But I would love you to think about the following:

Upon closing your eyes to go to sleep: think about your upcoming day and all the good things the day has in store for you.

Plan your day with positive measure.

When you wake up in the morning …… intend your day to be great and walk around the house saying thank you for everything that you have.

I try to practice these exercises or this way of life and it truly does make a difference.

Most of our life is based on “what we think”.

So ….

If we walk around thinking that we are “cold” …… then we will be cold.

So practice having a great day before it happens, and I know that you will have a great day.

Put love in your heart and mind and voila …..

Have a perfectly awesome day.

I know that I will.

Always, Carol

Thought for the day…..

Somedays we get out of our regular routines and then struggle to get back into them.

The past few days I have been practising what I have been preaching and that is to “be still”, you know “quieten the mind” ….

It truly lifts you up.  I honestly feel better, happier and have more energy.

So if you have strayed from the path – just step back – close your eyes and breathe.

P.S. you can do this anywhere, yes even in the bathroom (why not multi-task) LOL.

That way you will really feel great about what you are doing!!

Have a blessed – great – amazing day.

Always, Carol
