2021

Good Morning ALL! How are you this Friday morning? I am well. It is 7:19 a.m. and the sun is beginning to rise in the morning sky. There is a breeze lifting the coloured leaves from the trees and placing them gently onto the ground. My neighbour mowed the lawn yesterday and it looks so good as the grass had grown a bit longer. I looked out of my bedroom window as I was getting ready a few minutes ago to see that beneath our tree the grass is dotted with yellow/gold leaves. So pretty. Alvin and I had a pretty good sleep last night / this morning. He is patiently waiting for me downstairs.

Yesterday ended up to be an odd morning. As I mentioned we had a great sleep but we’re off to a bit of a late start as we fell back to sleep so that put the shower later, our walk later and my arrival time for coffee to be a bit later ONLY that is not what happened. It is funny how things can change in a blink of an eye. Just before we went for a walk, I was thinking it was cool in the house so I checked the thermostat and found it to be 66 degrees fahrenheit in the house with the heat set at 70 degrees (showing heat on) but could only mean one thing the furnace was not on. ARGH. I made a quick decision to take Alvin for a walk first and texted the girls to say that I would be a little bit late. When we got to the park we saw our friend Pauline out for a walk with her grandpup Georgie. We chatted for a moment and walked together for a bit as I explained what was going on with us parting ways and continuing onto home. When I got home I called Sonja to see if she knew what to do and she did not know about the pilot light on the furnace. So I called Kim and Dave. Then I texted the girls to advise that I would not be able to tend the coffee visit. Dave came over a bit later. We chatted and I explained what was wrong. We went into the basement and checked out the furnace and definitely the “pilot light” was not on. The Supervisor of the technicians that had gone to turn the furnace back on after the cleaning had not waited around to see if the furnace actually came on – he just flipped the switch to an on position. Dave with his phone flashlight read through the instructions on the bottom cover on the furnace (to be honest I had not read them, an eye opened for sure) and hit the reset button to turn on the pilot light. The pilot light came on but did not ignite. He had to try a couple of times which meant waiting for a few minutes in between (his analogy like lightning a barbeque). Finally he decided to remove the top cover where the pilot light is located and found it to be super clean and also found it was turned off. He turned the dial to on and then hit the reset button while placing the bottom cover back on and voile the furnace ignited. Thank goodness for such amazing neighbours. My “10” furnace cleaning rating just dropped by several points. I think that ensuring that the furnace is actually on and producing heat should be just as important as the cleaning. Right. People make mistakes. An oversight. Not on purpose, I know. But I am so grateful to have such great neighbours who are willing to drop what they are doing to help me out. If I had to call someone back out …. like the furnace guys ….. it would have cost me money. Anyway I am happy it is working and we have heat. I missed having coffee with my girls.

After Dave was gone, I put on a big pot of coffee and drank several cups. Had some toast and then decided to get working on the backyard. I mowed the grass. Cut down the perennials in my back flower bed except for the two bushes. Then went to town on putting away everything or almost everything from the deck into the garage. Rearranging as I went but it looks good.

I just heard a huge growl from the backyard and looked outside to see Sonja and Bogart on the deck. I guess the boys are not getting along at the moment so I asked if Humphrey could come over for a bit. So time to go.

2021

Good Morning ALL! How are you this gorgeous bright sunny Thursday morning ( lol, I almost typed Wednesday)? Both Alvin and I are well. We got a good night sleep. Very grateful for the sleep. Always a great way to begin one’s day with a good night sleep. Alvin and I had a good walk yesterday and even though the temperature was in the single plus digits celsius it felt warm. By mid afternoon it was about 17+ celsius. Everyone was out walking. I had ordered my supper through SKIP THE DISHES. First time. I found out that between the delivery charge, the tip and taxes there was way less left on the gift card that I had received from my employer and I did not know how it all worked so I had to keep changing my order to have it fall within the “budget.” I thought by the charge of the food that some of the charges were included in the total but guess not. I am not sure that I would use this service again. Besides I am not one to order out for food. I do like ordering a pizza from Royal Pizza (best pizza place) once in awhile but other than that, I prefer to eat at home, something that I made even it was toast and eggs. Anyway, it was a nice change. At the end of it ….. I guess I helped give someone some earnings so it was worth it.

There is not much on our plate today other than regular old work. I am in the sixth week of training someone at work. Tomorrow I actually go into the office. My neighbour is going to check in on Alvin. He will definitely need to go outside to pee and need a treat during the time that I am away.

Saturday is supposed to be +18 or so and I have invited my two friends over for an outside coffee/tea visit in the morning on the deck. I have more than enough room to ensure that everyone is comfortable and is physically distanced from each other to keep within the restrictions set out by our health care professionals and government officials. I cannot wait. To share some stories and laugh, to laugh. Alvin is a pretty good story teller but laughing not so much.

Well I guess that is about it for today.

Keeping on smiling and laughing and staying well. Take some time out of your busy day just for you. If you have to lock yourself in the bathroom to do so ….. do it. Just relax.

Continuing to live this life with kindness, respect, compassion and patience.

2021

Good Morning ALL. How are you this morning? I am doing great. Funny start to the day. We had a good sleep. Alvin woke us up at 4:00 and we came downstairs. Decided to feed him and give him his glucosamine chew. Once he was done eating, outside he went. While he was outside at this time, I decided to change the clocks on the stove ahead one hour so that I would not forget when we got up for the day. Once he was back inside – we hit the sofa for some more sleep. Alvin woke up and it was already light out so I got up to check the time and it was 8:00 a.m., so I set the microwave timer for some extra time and headed back to the sofa. Alvin laid down for a bit and then was up. So I decided okay it was 8:23 or so, just get up. Something hit me between the kitchen and the living room and I realized it was Saturday. The girls are coming for coffee at 10:00 a.m. and the time changes Saturday night/Sunday morning. So actually it was 7:23 not 8:23 a.m. Changed the time back and stayed up. What the hay. But I was giggling to myself for the mixup.

Yesterday was awesome. The temperature allowed for me to wear only a long sleeved sweater and a “winter vest.” SUN shone brightly just as it is doing right at this very moment. My daughter picked up us and drove us to the Vet so that Alvin could get out his stitches. Both of the staff that were there had not seen/read the email from the Surgeon at that point so I happily told them the good news about Alvin. We were almost all in tears of joy. Alvin’s Vet Dr. Karen arrived shortly after we did. They were doing some surgery on a cat. An easy surgery. Thankfully. It only took a few seconds or seemed liked it to remove the stitches and he was back to me. I was waiting in one of the exam rooms. In the main lobby area we talked about his new food and other matters. I was able to pick up his new food both hard and wet. Happily surprised the price was not quite as much as I had thought it was going to be. So that is good. Although he will be eating more wet food so will be going through it more quickly but that is how it is going to be. Booked his next appointment for his nails etc. and then we were on our way. Courtney held and opened doors, Michelle carried the food and I with Alvin exited the building where my daughter was waiting for us. She had quickly gone over to StarBucks to pick up her free Birthday COFFEE. Once we got home we girls had coffee and went over what was required at the store. I had written up my list on the NOTES on my phone. So was easy to forward to her. After Amanda left for the grocery store I brought out some chairs and a bench from the garage as today the girls are coming for coffee on the deck. I took the steel/river rock top bistro table out of the garage and to the top of the first landing and left it there for my daughter to help me carry it down the steps. A few years ago, maybe two years ago, I would have carried it myself but I am getting smarter in my “old age” and decided better to have help. Once that was done, we were back in the house and did a few things and then sat down on the sofa and I had some coffee and Alvin just curled up beside me. I love that. It seemed like only a few minutes and Amanda was back from the store. We visited and then she was on her way with a quick stop before heading home. Alvin and I went for a walk. It was so gorgeous out. I only wore a long sleeved sweater and winter vest and shoes. Not even any mini gloves! We walked on the opposite side of the street where it appears to be spring or late fall and where the sidewalk is mostly dry. There were a few wet spots but mainly where there was a street or back lane to break up the public sidewalk. Several streets away from home, Alvin decided he wanted to cross to the other side of the street, I wondered why for a second, checking both directions for oncoming traffic and none we crossed. As we got to the snow back lining the other side of the street, I realized that he was going to see his best friend Teddy. Even after climbing over a small snowbank and down to the sidewalk he turned the right direction and literally pulled me to his friend’s house. I kept saying “Alvin, not today buddy” but he was firm in his decision and before I knew it he was crossing their driveway and heading up the steps. As I rang the doorbell, I could hear Teddy and Kobi barking. Then saw Iris peeking out of the window. Everyone was excited to see us as I apologized for just dropping in as they both replied “you are always welcome.” Before we got past the foyer, I explained to Iris that Alvin can no longer have any of the chews that the pups always have and she quickly picked them all up. We had the most enjoyable visit as we social distanced of course. I sat in a rocking chair and little Miss Kobi came and curled up by my feet, so sweet. Iris remarked “oh she missed her Auntie Carol.” It was a quick wonderful unplanned visit and we were all happy to see each other. I guess Alvin missed his buddy after all he has been through and the time since he last saw him. I see a sleepover in their near future. Once again we were on our way walking and enjoying the warm, sunshine of the day. I let Alvin lead the way. He took us down a different street on the opposite side from Teddy’s house and we made our way home from there. It was a wonderful feeling arriving home and having to wipe Alvin’s wet paws dry. What a wonderful time we had. Shortly thereafter, I was washing my hands and grabbing the ingredients to make the fruit pizza. I had the cream cheese softening on the counter. Fruit pizza is very easy to make but is time consuming. Have to make the cookie dough and bake. The cream cheese filling. Cut up the fruit. Make the orange glaze. All separately and then put together when the base and the glaze are cool so that the cream cheese does not go runny. Made the fruit pizza and was admiring it – even snapped a photo and then I realized that I had forgot to pour the glaze over the top. I actually even sent a photo to Amanda before the glaze went on and had her thinking that something was missing. Anyway, all good. Once done, it was almost time to feed Alvin and get changed and finish up the dishes from the baking. I had time to have a sip of coffee. The food arrived five minutes before the kids arrived. Perfect timing. I covered the bag with heavy tea towels to keep in the heat. Then the house was filled with family once again. We enjoyed our supper and conversation. After supper we decided we were too stuffed to enjoy the fruit pizza and played a game of sequence. All three of us were were in conversation and not 100% in the game but we had fun. After the game we had the fruit pizza. Poor Mr. Alvin was so sorry that he could not have some fruit. He really wanted some but I did not cave. He could not have the pizza anyway because of the sugar but I had some cut up in the fridge and it stayed in the fridge. Sure is hard to not give him fruit or vegetables. Alvin’s doctor is going to check and see if there are any fruits or vegetables that he could have. Oh, I forgot before the fruit pizza and the game – Amanda opened her birthday gift. Alvin and I got her a pair of earrings. Tiny silver hoops with her birthstone. She loved them. After dessert, Amanda and I went into the basement to go through some of her childhood toys and stuffies. They have neighbours that they are especially close to and they have a daughter and a son. The little girl is smitten with Amanda and even told her that she loved her. How sweet is that. Anyway said girl named Charlotte is turning 5 this month. How cool they even have birthdays in the same month. She wanted to give her a toy of some sort ….. maybe science set as she loves science and I suggested because of Charlotte’s love for her that she give her something that was hers when she was a little girl. So we went through containers until we found her bag of stuffies. We brought some things upstairs where she went through the bag of stuffies …. there was Miss Piggy, Rainbow Brite, one of the bugs from a Bug’s Life, Teddy Bears, Wuzzles and so many more that I cannot remember the names. She took the bag home but decided to give her the “Bug from a Bug’s Life” as she has an invisible friend and likes that particular movie. How cute. Anyway it was touching and brought back so many memories as she went through some of her toys and stuffies from her childhood. Now they are where they belong with Amanda. I miss them though …. my baby is not a baby … I guess my 41 year old daughter is a grown woman now…….

Well it is now after 8:30 and I had better get the show on the road. The girls will be here shortly. Yesterday was amazing and I am so grateful for every moment of the day.

Today is going to be great as well. I need some coffee and cannot wait until the girls arrive so will run down and make a couple of cups before making a pot closer to 10:00. I want to get some more chairs out of the garage. Was waiting for this morning.

Have an awesome day. Harness the joy that each moment brings and hold it close to your heart and keep those thoughts in the foreground of your mind as you make your way through this day and every day.

Living with kindness, respect, compassion and patience.

2021

Good Morning ALL. How are you? I am well and happily settling into my new bras. Happy Woman here. Well last night ….. earlier, much earlier this morning up and down as per our normal routine. It would seem that whenever we go to bed whether early or a bit later we are always up six hours later. That six hour mark could be at 3 a.m. or 4 a.m. or anything in between. Depending on the time I either give Mr. Alvin his glucosamine chew OR the chew and breakfast. I don’t want him to have breakfast before 4:00 a.m. Too early. Then we head to the sofa for a few more zzz’s and when we get up depends on whether or not it is during the week or the weekend. What a life! This morning I am going to have a “coffee visit” with my friends Gillian and Signe on TEAMS. So excited to see them and catch up.

I also had a pretty nice surprise when I went into my office (where I am now) to turn on the computer …. I found that my African Violet had some pretty purple flowers. She did not have them yesterday and there are several buds as well. A very deep rich vibrant purple. A royal purple if you will. I cannot remember how long I have had this plant and she has never bloomed but I think that she does like being in the office on my desk. I have placed two smaller Spider plants on the desk beside her for company. Even plants need company. They were babies when I moved them into the office and she was older so a good match, I thought. Miss Violet’s leaves are finally becoming larger and stronger looking. I am so over the moon happy about this plant and all of my plants as they are all doing so well. My Geraniums are blooming …. beautiful pink flowers. Three other plants that I have are also blooming and I am not quite sure what there names are … Since I am home all of the time now, I give them a lot more TLC and they appear to be liking the extra attention. Yesterday morning I spent about one hour fixing them up and moving them about. They do all seem to love the southern exposure whether in my kitchen or in the office. Although yesterday I tried something by moving my large Spider plant to the 1/2 wall that divides the kitchen and living room. I moved Spidy because my plant area is getting so crowded with plants. I will see how Spidy does and if shows signs of stress I will move him back to the window area or perhaps even upstairs to the office where there is more room. My daughter brought me a Poinsettia from her office on Friday thus overfilling the space. So I will keep an eye on them. Plants are so good to have around. I am grateful that several of them seem to bloom all year round. Now I have my beautiful Violet plant blooming. So grateful. Also I have two geraniums that my friend Pauline gave me last fall which are becoming massive in their small pots and need to be transplanted. So I will have to put out a call for someone to pick me up some potting soil and two medium sized pots.

Last night I spent the evening speaking to my friend Linda who lives back home. We worked together, were neighbours and are friends. She recently celebrated a birthday. We chatted about our lives, the world and the pandemic for close to three hours. What a great way to spend a Saturday night. Perfection.

Now this morning I get to chat with two of my girl friends. YAY.

Well time to get dressed and put on the coffee and have breakfast before our get together.

The sky is partially overcast this morning as the sunrises. I love the colours of the morning sky as the sun begins to rise in the sky.

This has been a great weekend thus far. Alvin and I also had the best walk yesterday afternoon. The air was so warm and there was no wind. I could have walked forever. Who would have thought it was almost mid January.

Wishing you a great Sunday.

Continuing to live with kindness, respect and compassion for all.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 4th day of March, 2019.

Well here we are – Monday morning.

Alvin and I had a great weekend.

We had company, did some housework and laundry and relaxed.

I had coffee with two of my girl friends yesterday morning.

Love these gals – we always have a great time – laughing and chatting.

A great mix of work and play.

We went for a walk yesterday afternoon as I felt it had warmed up.

Alvin started to lift his paws only a few houses away from home.

So we turned around and headed back home.

He enjoyed going in and out to the back yard.

There is a patch of the deck that is snow/ice free near the house that always gets the warm sun, so he likes to sit or lie there, and ponder life.

Or at least that is what I choose to believe that he is thinking.

Or perhaps he is thinking oh this is nice and quiet.

Or perhaps he is thinking where is my girlfriend OR I would like a treat.

He loves to dig in the snow.

Yesterday he was at the top section of the deck near the garage by the railing digging away.

Not sure what he was looking for but he was really getting into it.

Finally he pulled his head out of the snow and cautiously went down the steps from the top part of the deck.

When I say cautiously I mean super cautious.

He goes back and forth for a minute or more before he jumps down.

Sometimes he goes down each of the three steps or he just jumps to the bottom.

I worry about him as he is getting older.

Then he came to the steps on the side of the deck that lead down to the “green area” which is partially shovelled and the other part is a big snowbank.

He has made a path in the snow and very carefully he went up.

They know when it is safe or not.

I could tell.

He went so far and turned around and came back down.

Not reaching the area that was by the railing from this side.

Alvin has so many chew treats buried in the snow and just laying about on the deck in the back of our house.

I love watching him.

Oh, my Alvin, how you make me smile and warm my heart.

Cuteness by the 10th power and more.

The boy, Mr. Alvin is laying on his blue blanket waiting for me to finish.

He loves his routine and I try to keep it as close to the same as I am able.

I guess I am a pretty regular routine kind of gal, so we are a perfect match.

There was a reason he picked me on that COLD January night in 2010.

I am so grateful.

Well here we go again, time to leave for work.

Almost time.

I hear that spring is on it’s way and is getting close.

We are happy for that news.

WALKS and WALKS ahead of us.

Have the best Monday ever.

Smile to yourself and to everyone you meet.

Something as simple as a smile can bring joy and relief.

Happy Monday.

Special Hello to: my sister, back VEGAS.  Welcome Home and Happy Monday, sister.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 3rd day of March, 2019.

WHAT a glorious bright and SUN SHINY morning.

Warmer weather is on the way and that in itself makes me HAPPY.

Doing a little HAPPY DANCE while sitting in my chair.

While eating a late breakfast we listened to the latest episode of THE LAUNCH.

Oh how lucky I was to see a new song written by Bryan Adams.

I love his voice and have listened to him since he started before he was BRYAN ADAMS, the headliner, the famous photographer.

My sister and I went to a concert where he was the opening act for another well know band of the day.

I can still see him standing on the stage in Regina, I know how I was feeling but cannot tell you the date.

He stole the show.

That VOICE, he just pulls you in and you are there forever.

Love, love, love Bryan Adams.

Thank you Bryan Adams for being Canadian, so proud of you and what you have accomplished.

Funny thing I have always loved words and putting them together.

I have written poetry for years.

I would love to be song writer, no singing but love the lyric aspect.

Perhaps someday something I write will be sung by Mr. Bryan Adams.

Wouldn’t that be crazy.

He is the same age as my sister, he will turn sixty on November 5th, this year.

Happy Birthday early Bryan.

Well time to hit the shower, as I have a coffee date in less than one hour with my girls down the street.

Followed by some cleaning and pulling together receipts/invoices to complete my Income Taxes.

I know some changes that I am going to make to ensure things go more easily next year.

Wishing you a Happy Sunday.

I am watching Mr. Alvin sprawled out on his blue blanket by my chair.

Life is good.

It is Sunday, the sun is shining and I have my buddy beside me.

Special Hello to:  You ….. have a wonderful day …… just relax and enjoy this ride we call life.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 16th day of September, 2018.

Day two of snowing.

Earlier this morning about 5:00 a.m. it was raining and since about 7:00 a.m. it has turned from rain to wet snow to just snow.

The pavement and sidewalks as they hold the heat are just wet.

The rooftops, grass and my deck are starting to once again look like winter.

ARGH, it is way too early to have snow.

Seems like only yesterday that it was winter.

I do love WINTER but would prefer that it started in like December or even mid to late November, but before mid September.

Well that is just crazy.

Mother Nature must be really holding a grudge this year or perhaps it is of our own doing.

Oh perhaps a bit of both.

At the end of the day I am grateful that we are having a bit of snow and not the flooding from the hurricanes to the south eastern areas of the United States.

Everyday people are posting photos of animals that are stranded due to the flood waters.

I understand that sometimes you have to just grab and run but why would you leave a poor dog tied to a tree or to a post in the yard.

I would understand if you had a cat and it ran away and you could not grab it but …..

I will never understand leaving them behind, I will never understand stranding them.

Any living creatures that are in your household are your responsibility.

We have to be good beings and do the right thing.

The one photo that will haunt me forever is one of a dog tied to a tree and all you can see is his head and those eyes.

I only hope that whoever took the photo rescued that poor dog.

I do know that there are a great many good people out there who risk their own lives to help all others whether two-legged or four.

They will always hold a special place in my heart.

They are the folks that we should all aspire to be.

This morning is coffee date with my two young friends.

I always enjoy spending time with them.

It has been awhile as they were busy over August.

Lot to catch up on.

I baked chocolate chip cookies with an extra special treat SMARTIES.

We will have some strawberries and gold fish crackers.

I know kind of an odd mix but it is just something to nibble on.

Well time to go as there is laundry to put away.

Get the coffee ready to turn on.

Finish the dishes that are in the sink, waiting patiently for me.

Also, I had to take one of my beloved sunflowers out of the garden as yesterday it broke off and was laying on the ground.

So sad.

First year that I have had sunflowers.

They were so tall and were starting to have those amazing yellow flowers and heads filled with seeds.

Maybe next year.

Will get some earlier.

I hope that you all have a wonderful Sunday.

Oh, I rented from my cable company “BOOK CLUB” and watched last night after supper.

IT was so FUNNY.  Almost peed my pants, funny.

OH and I made the most delectable supper with quinoa, roasted chicken, homemade peanut sauce and chopped green onions, celery, carrots, and broccoli.

So good.

Okay, I am going now …… sometimes I just babble.

I know.

Special Hello to: my friend “V” who made this crazy beautiful birthday cake for her Mom’s special day.  It was amazing.  She is so talented.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to the 22nd day of December, 2017.

The sky is light and the sun is up as it is late.

I used a day of vacation so that I could be at home with Alvin and to give him a hair trim and bath.

There are several things that I need to get done before Christmas so this gives me the opportunity to do so.

Well I was pooped so I did sleep in after our original start time of 4:00 a.m. which was a nice treat.

So just sipping on a up of coffee in my PJ’s at after 10:00 a.m. and it feels great.

Sometimes you just have to do it.

Lots to do but I will get them done.

Nice to be home and chilling with my boy.

Listening to the Christmas shows on the television.

Our temperatures are beginning to drop as some ARTIC AIR blasts through.

Winter in Western Canada.

There was ever so light of a dusting of snow last night.

Fluffy and white.

Mostly ground showing.

So time to go and drink my mug of coffee before it gets cold.

I am so excited for Christmas with my family.

Tomorrow morning coffee date with two of my girl friends.

YAY …….

What a great day to hold Christmas on Monday.

Monday will not be blah or dreaded this year.

Enjoy your time with your loved ones.

Happy Friday …..

Special Hello to:  my friend “I” who lives in Sweden…..

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 5th day of November, 2017.

Well we turned our clocks back last night or some may be turning them this morning.

We went to bed quite early last night about 9:30 p.m.

I was whipped as Mr. Alvin had been up extremely early Saturday morning and then we were busy throughout the day.

Anyway I was wide awake at 5:00 a.m. but decided to hold off for a bit and then fell back asleep until 6:30 a.m.

I have not been up this early on a Sunday for awhile.

We both had breakfast, Alvin of course had his around 4:00 a.m., I set off the smoke alarm again with my toaster, put away the laundry that had been drying, am washing a load of towels and finished drying another

load of towels so it feels like I have accomplished something and it is still early.

My old neighbour is coming for coffee at 9:00 a.m. so I will definitely be ready.

Just have to grind some coffee beans for an extra fresh cup of coffee.

I baked a pumpkin spice cake last night for a treat with coffee.

Yesterday after my daughter went home and our unplanned “shopping” trip to the REUSE Centre – Alvin and I went for a walk.

I spent the afternoon doing laundry and decorating the house.

It looks great.

So I will have a quiet day after the coffee date.

Perhaps make my list of things that I have to do over the next weeks until Christmas.

Setting a time-line always helps me to get things done.

Well I hope that you are all great …..

Remember to take some time to relax.

Happy Sunday.

Special Hello: all those dreamers ….. keep dreaming ….

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 17th day of April, 2017.

Yesterday we had a group of ROBINS in our neighbourhood.

They chirped and fluttered about in my front tree.

I had heard via FB that they were also in the yard of one of my friends that lives several blocks away.

The Robins are home.

I love Robins.

A true sign of spring.

************************************************

This day is extra special because Miss HODA KOTB is back to the TODAY SHOW.

She adopted the most beautiful baby girl HALEY JOY back in February, and has now returned to work.

Have you ever been so touched by someone that you have never met?

Well I have.

People talk about wanting to meet singers and actors but me, I would love to meet HODA KOTB.

She is the epitome of perfection.

HODA is always smiling and joyful.

She loves singing and knows the words to every song.

She is kind and compassionate.

She is loving and caring.

She is genuine and warm.

She just has this way of making you feel better and wanting to be a better you.

If I am ever blessed to take another trip to New York City, I will make sure that I go see HODA and KATHIE LEE.

They go together like peanut butter and jam, they are perfection.

A great duo ….. the best in morning television.

I am over the rainbow happy for HODA.

So happy that both JOEL and baby HALEY JOY found her ……

I share a birthday with Miss HODA KOTB, August 9th.

I am a few years older but born on the same day.

Which is very cool.

Also several years ago long before there was the dynamic duo, back when the Italian Charm bracelets were the big thing, I found this charm that said “Today Show.”

Pretty sure that I still had a VCR when I found the charm.

I would sometimes watch the Today Show on my Friday off from work or when on vacation.

I really enjoyed the variety of this morning show.

Who knew that this many years later that charm would have so much meaning.

I love to write and dreamed that I wrote this best selling book and was interviewed by HODA and KATHIE LEE.

A trip back to New York City – the BIG APPLE.

Can you imagine?

No book yet but I still love to write.

Welcome back HODA and Congratulations.

So time to sign off for now.

Thank goodness for the PVR as I have a coffee date with my friends.
