The Next Chapter

Good Morning! Rainy night and morning in Edmonton. I can hear the rain drops hitting the sidewalks. Starting to get light out there. Thankfully only rain! According to the forecast for today from yesterday when I last checked it is only to be +3 celsius today, argh. But it will warm up.

Well I am so proud of myself. I decided to google how to move photos from computer to WordPress as something changed in the process since I used my old computer. Anyway, I found the easiest way is to drag and drop. It was so easy and I could pinch myself that I did not know how to do that earlier. Would have saved some time and aggravation. So there are a photos from spring cleaning and a few extras. This post is all about photos. I am so happy that I can do this easily now.

My last day of the four day weekend was great. I cleaned the main bathroom upstairs, figured out the photo thing, Cleaned some of the stair well walls. Ordered groceries and guess what! The delivery guy came hours early as he couldn’t find the other address, so instead of mine coming between 8-10 p.m., they were here before 7:00 p.m. Was great having them early so that I could get to bed on time. Definitely worth the $9.95 delivery charge. I think you actually save money as you are not picking up extra items along the way.

I texted my friend Pauline to see if she wanted to go for a walk and didn’t hear back so later I called her and we arranged to meet up at 4:45 at the entrance to the park. When I was leaving the house, I noticed a container sitting on the bench. As I looked closer I found that it was a container full of cookies from our friends Savannah and Grayson (he is not quite 2) wishing me a Happy Easter. I set them in the house and quickly texted her a thank you. Pauline and I met up and had a great walk. She invited me over for a cup of tea and I graciously accepted. I was home around 5:00 p.m. and had leftover chili for supper. What a great way to end a four day weekend. The willows by the water were budding.

Cleaning and rearranging things feels so good. Feels like a new upstairs except for the guest room, which I will need to get done before my daughter sleeps over next. I hope that I can find a new home(s) for the books. Photos in no apparent timeline.

The area rug from my bedroom fits perfectly in the office and controls the chairs from rolling. Who knew by moving the shower curtain from the right side to the left would brighten up the room so much. It was a great thought! Still cleaning to do but that is okay. Lots done and feels wonderful.

Have an awesome Tuesday.

Continuing to live this life with kindness, respect, compassion, patience, love, laughter, understanding, gratitude, focus, possibilities, coffee and forgiveness.

Alvin was with me the whole way in my spring cleaning. Keeping me company spiritually. I will always think of him and miss him with my whole heart.

Last Half 2022 – November

Good Morning ALL! How are you this morning? I am happy to be working from home today. Alvin had a good vet appointment yesterday. No ear infection. Same weight as last visit. Anal glands not full. Had his nails trimmed. YAY. We are done for another 5 weeks. While I was at the clinic, I asked if they could put in an order for Alvin’s food and Michelle, the Vet Tech said “I already ordered it and it is here for you.” WOW, that was great. They ordered two cases of the wet and one bag of the dry food which is exactly what I wanted. So I paid for the food and his visit which was almost $500.00 but he will have food for awhile. He still has lots at home but I do not wish to run the risk of him running out. You never know these days. It would not matter so much but he is on a special diet and needs this special food. We walked to his appointment yesterday. I realized partway through the day that it was icy outside. A few minutes before leaving I went outside and cleared some of the snow from the lawn making a path to the public sidewalk where I tossed some snow which gave me some traction to the street. We walked on the edge of the street until we reached dry sidewalk. Unfortunately our whole side of the sidewalk until we arrived at the walkway was icy but thankfully once we were past our street it was good. I am grateful that Gillian and I picked up those ice picks for your boots at Costco. They worked like a charm. I left them on my boots. Guess I will need to take shoes to work from now on.

Looks like this morning we will have some cuddling time before I start work. Glancing about my office I see that my African Violet is a covered with rich purple flowers. So very beautiful. I love my home office space as it is filled with all of the things that I love and that help me feel creative. I have books, photos of family and friends, cards, cool window coverings and more books and more trinkets and ornaments. It is my happy space. I guess you could say that my whole house is my happy place, happy space. I love my house, each room for different reasons and am over the moon grateful to be living here.

Well it is almost time to head downstairs and plug in the coffee. I already prepared the coffee so just needs to be plugged in to perk. YAY, me. Alvin is resting just outside the office door.

Tonight I am going to sit down and make a list of all the people and events that I require baking/sweet treats for and calculate how many of each item is “needed.” I know that I am baking Sugar Cookies, Chocolate Chip Cookies and Fudge for three items. Likely not much as I need to make massive amounts of the cookies for sure. Then I will pull out my recipes and ensure that I have all of the ingredients to bake as the first weekend of December is one week away from this Friday. OMG, where has the time gone. I also need on this weekend to hit the grocery store and pick up some final items and go to the Bone & Biscuit to pick up gifts for Alvin, Aspen, Milo and Cookie.

Have an awesome Tuesday.

Continuing to live this life with kindness, respect, compassion, patience, love, laughter, understanding, gratitude, focus, possibilities and coffee.

Always, Carol & Alvin

PS: always be prepared! Grateful for this weather. Thanks to our friend Gillian who is going to pick up Alvin’s food today. I could not live my life without such great friends such as her 🙂

Last Half 2022 – October

Good Morning ALL! How are you this morning? We are doing well. Back to the office today for the next three days. Alvin has two friends checking on him this week. Alyaa for the first two days and then Pauline for Wednesday, lucky boy.

What a gorgeous day we had yesterday. The sun shone and the air was warm and there was not even the slightest of breezes. We spent a few hours outside between a walk and moving the patio furniture to the garage, washing down the house, garage, windows, front porch, deck, raking, putting some leaves around the plants in the back flower garden and cleaning out two of the three last flower pots. The impatiens were basically done. There is one plant on the front porch for decoration as it seems to be doing great. So good to get it all done. Prior to the cleaning I decided to colour my hair followed by a shower. Yes, I know that you normally do not shampoo your hair or have a shower but this “home colour” said to shampoo after the conditioner (which I conditioned again after the shower). It is dark but covered the gray. The main reasoning for the hair dye was because I was given the box of colour and did not wish to waste it. I am pretty happy with it and it will fade in a short time and be perfection. Besides it makes me feel like a different person, hopefully a better person, lol.

There were a few smaller tasks that I completed but no one really wants the whole list, I do not think! We are all busy. Great to have “stuff” done. I feel as though we had a weekend.

I was sadly disappointed that unless I paid for it – there was no free viewing of “Christmas with the Kranks.” I just wanted to watch it but I did find a free viewing of “The Grinch” with Jim Carrey so I watched that in between preparing an apple crisp with the remainder of the apples from Pauline. I might have to bring the DVD player up from the basement and hook it up once again so that I can watch all of the Christmas movies and other movies in my collection which is on a small bookcase in the living room.

Still very dark outside when I peek out of the office window. I am not sure what time the sunrise is set for as the days get shorter and shorter leading into the shortest day of the year in December.

Today, tomorrow and Wednesday are to be 20 and 19 degrees celsius. How wonderful is that? I decided to wear a dress and I have to wear my flip flops as I did something to my toe and when I put any pressure on the toes it hurts. Not broken. I have no idea what happened. There was a bit of blood between two toes so I must have picked up a rock or something sharp.

Well time to head downstairs and finish getting things ready. Take Mr. Alvin outside one last time. When we were out around 5:45, the air felt warm. I am so grateful for these beautiful days of falls.

I hope that you have an awesome Monday. Tonight I am backing chocolate chip cookies for a farewell potluck at work on Wednesday. One of the girls that sits close to me but works in a different area is moving to Calgary.

Continuing to live this life with kindness, respect, compassion, patience, love, laughter, understanding, gratitude, focus, possibilities and coffee.

The New YEAR 2022

Happy Easter Everyone!

We woke up to a few inches of the white stuff covering everything including the Easter Bunny’s steps. I guess he missed our house. Me and the pups were very disappointed. We had been good and were thinking there were be treats waiting for us when we woke up. Maybe he got lost. I don’t know but very disappointing all the same. Perhaps he figured chocolate not being good for pups and that I didn’t need it – was not worth the stop. Oh well, maybe next year. I feel badly now that I did not pick up a little toy for each of the pups yesterday. I will give them some treats and we will be all good.

Yesterday I had a pleasant surprise. There was a knock on the door in the afternoon. I opened it to find a friend that we had met on our walks. She handed me some chocolate chip cookies (made with coloured Easter smarties). So sweet and thoughtful. She has a little boy but he was with his Dad and she was on the way to the gym.

Late morning I went to the store with another friend but we took a side trip to the Italian Store which I may have been to only once. So either it was the first or second time that I had been there. So many people and I did wear a mask. I picked up a few items including some orange and chocolate biscotti (not as good as my friend Val’s but tasty). I love biscotti. We were only gone about 1.5 hours and after returning home, my friend came in for a few minutes as she wanted some puppy time (her beloved Jazmin passed away just over a week ago). After she left, I took Miss Aspen for a walk followed by Alvin and Milo. It was snowing and a bit cool but we got the walks done. I wore the wrong shoes with Aspen and my toes were hurting most of the time. They are old shoes and are okay if you are not walking. Whatever possessed me to wear them, I will never know. But that is okay. I put on better ones and my toes felt find for the next walk. Alvin decided our walk would be shorter than usual so that helped me although I would have taken them gladly for the full walk.

Guess what we woke up to this morning at 4:00 a.m., S-N-O-W, when will this end. It isn’t going to melt as fast as the white stuff from yesterday. Oh well.

Time to go and have some coffee and take the pups downstairs. Aspen stayed downstairs in the big brown hair enjoying the view out of the window. Her happy place. The other two follow me everywhere.

I hope that you had a laugh from part of this post.

I hope that you are in good health.

I hope that you are surrounded by love and laughter on this day and always.

I hope that you have some chocolate in the house.

I hope that your hands are not chapped (mine are and I don’t know why)

Happy Easter.

Have a wonderful day.

Continuing to live this life with kindness, respect, compassion, patience, love, laughter, understanding, gratitude, focus and possibilities.

Always, Carol & Alvin, Aspen and Mi-Mi

P.S. I bought a lotto ticket and a scratch ticket. Won $5 on the scratch ticket and look forward to winning on the lotto max ticket. Happy 2022.

2021

Good Morning All. Welcome to Monday, January 4, 2021. Still dark outside as today is my first day back to work and it is much earlier than the mornings I wrote for the past week. I could not shut down my thoughts/mind last night so this morning came early for me. I was grateful that Mr. Alvin slept until 4:30 and that we had time to lay down for some zzz’s on the sofa. He is whining at the office doorway so I am thinking that he may have to go outside. This will be quick and I apologize but that is my life and is subject to change. I hope that you had a good sleep last night.

We had a great Sunday. Quiet and relaxing. Time for a short walk (I would have done our whole walk but someone was not into it, so we went about half way and then headed for home). I watched a couple of Hallmark Movies, baked some Gingerbread Raisin Cookies (yes, I know baking not even a month after Christmas, lol) and set up my workstation for today. I also went and changed my out of office reply and changed my phone message so that I would have time this morning. I guess prepared. First day back and all.

My daughter is coming over at noon to bring us some fruit and pick up some items she forgot at Christmas. Even though I checked, we all checked, there will still a few items that were missed.

Well I guess it is time to head on downstairs as Mr. needs to go outside.

Continuing to live our lives with kindness, respect and compassion.

Second Half of the NEW YEAR – last quarter

Good Morning ALL. OH my goodness! we were up at 4:13 and yes, the boy had an early breakfast and then back to the sofa for some more sleep. I woke up just before 7:00 and decided as it was still dark and I wasn’t ready to get up for the day, we laid down and then it was 7:30 and we came upstairs, then we laid down on the bed and I just looked out the window thinking about things and looking at the street lamp. All of a sudden it was much lighter out and I came into the office where I had turned on the computer when we first came upstairs and it was 8:48 a.m. WOW, time flies. Guess I should have stayed up at 7:30 as this post would have been done, a load of laundry would be washed and in the dryer and a second load would have been in the washer, I would have had the coffee on, the bedding would have been changed and I would be starting to eat breakfast. WOW, how can that happen. There is something about it being dark and the weekend that keeps me from wanting to get up and at it. I don’t have this problem during the work week but then again I know that I must get up and work. I guess that is the difference. Likely I am not alone in this but I wished that I would have stayed up. Oh well, it is done. Now to get this day cracking.

Another gorgeous sunrise. I do love when the horizon seems to be filled with hues of pink and orange. So pretty.

Alvin is sitting in the hallway just looking at me and likely wondering why?

We had a great Friday. Alvin’s bestie Teddy and his little sister Kobi spent the day with us from 8 to 5. Kobi is such a little character. Still very much a puppy and so full of energy. Alvin and Teddy well they do have their moments but mostly they are happy to just hang out. Thankfully it was nice outside as she wanted to go outside and just investigate the snowbanks in the backyard. So cute. Despite the interruptions I managed to get lots of work down. Also our parcel came from our good friend in Regina. Chalked full of delicious treats and this very cool cookbook, actually more than a cookbook. I am going to give you all the name as the author and chef is going to give a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the book to help support the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation. How wonderful is that. The book is “One Loaf at a Time” by CJ KATZ and on the other side “One Bowl at a Time” ….. virtually two books in one. There are stories of the Pandemic and how it affected CJ and her family, the province of Saskatchewan and Canada and the world Photos of the folks who graciously gave their recipes for this worthy cause. She even mentioned the “toilet paper” hoarding, the shortages of flour and sugar and other baking ingredients as those of us who were at home started baking and cooking. Some people had nothing much to do with having to stay at home, so they learned to cook and to bake. Have you heard the term “the COVID 15” which relates to the weight gain over the past few months which I think may have been early on and is likely more more. I heard that phrase somewhere and not note that I have not read that in the book thus far. She mentions how retail placed arrows on the store floors to try and move people in the same direction and keeping them 6 feet or 2 metres apart. This is a great book. The photos of the food are so good that they make you want to start grabbing the ingredients from your cupboard/pantry and start baking/cooking. I am so proud of my friend as she has a recipe in the book as well. They are friends, how cool. In addition to this great book I received a “cinnamon bun loaf”, some little muffins for Alvin which he shared some of which Teddy and Kobi, butter tarts, apple tarts, shortbread, moonpies (I think they are called), and more. There are packages of different kind of cookies and other sweet treats and some goldfish crackers that I have never seen before and more. Totally spoiled we are. One quick story. You know that Mr. Alvin is a master gift opener. If not, he is. I placed his wrapped gift (which was the muffins) on the floor. Of course, Teddy and Kobi, most especially Kobi circled nearby as he very deftly with his nose and mouth and holding the gift with his paw opened it. I took the video and once he got it mostly open, I grabbed it quickly before he accidentally ate the plastic that the muffins were in. So cute. I am so grateful to be blessed with the most generous friend(s) on the planet.

Well I guess it is getting way late here and Mr. Alvin is not changing the bedding nor is he gathering the towels for the laundry nor is he putting on the coffee for his Momma. He is leaving it all up to me. What a great guy!

I hope that you are doing great. We are getting close to DECEMBER now. Only couple more days now. YAY. Next weekend I will start and finish the Christmas baking. Pretty sure I have all of the ingredients that I require as the pantry and cupboards are jammed packed full of items.

Have a great Saturday.

Enjoy your morning coffee, tea or juice. Go for a nice walk. Don’t forget to do something nice for someone. There is not a better feeling than to help someone in need. That way you will have more energy and feel so much better about things. Show some gratitude. It works. Believe me, it works.

Alvin and I will continue to live our lives showing kindness and respect and compassion for all. We might be having a “sidewalk” visit today with our friends Ali and Bailey down the street. Bailey is no longer that little puppy. She is getting big. We see her sometimes out walking with her Grandpa.

Happy Saturday.

Always, Carol & Alvin

It is a NEW YEAR.

Good Morning All,

Welcome to a bright and clear blue sky on this Sunday morning.

Our time changed.

We flipped our clocks ahead by one hour here in Edmonton, Alberta.

I just returned from shovelling once again out front and going to look after Humphrey and Cynder.

Changing food, water, litter box and so on.

Then I gathered up Mr. Humphrey as he was happily waiting at the door for me to do so.

I carried the shovel in one hand and Humphrey in the other arm.

I am so happy to see that the snow has stopped falling.

We have so much.

I will have to shovel the driveway as well.

My driveway is at the back of the garage.

This morning I did some on the deck as well.

We have lots of ice build up so where there is ice, I left some snow cover.

Especially out front.

Gives a bit of traction when walking and less chance of falling and hurting oneself.

Thinking about all those folks including me that are out walking with their pups.

Yesterday was a great day.

My daughter, her husband and grand pups dropped by for a visit.

We had coffee and I share the chocolate chip cookies and no bake energy bites with them.

I also sent the remainder of the cookies home with them.

Less for me to eat.

Later on, Alvin’s best friend Teddy and his Mom are coming for tea and a visit.

Then we gals will head on over to the grocery store.

I am a bit anxious to see if our nearby grocery store still has bathroom tissue.

Some of the people I work with were telling stories that the places they had gone were out of bathroom tissue and Walmart actually had bare shelves.

If so, the worries of the Coronavirus have hit home for sure.

There are more and more reports on the news from around the world of shortages, closures of businesses and schools.

Hospitals are crazy busy.

I am going to remain calm in this storm.

Wash my hands as often as I usually do (after bathroom, after being in public and so on).

Covering ones face when coughing and sneezing and then washing hands is so important.

I even notice at work people taking great liberty with coughing and sneezing.

Forgetting that is how germs are spread.

We are cleaning our desks and workspaces with wipes.

When on the bus, I am wearing my gloves and not touching anything.

One night on the way home a teenager was on his cell phone, wiping his dripping nose with his hand, arm and sleeve and then going on his phone.

ARGH.

He was old enough to know better.

Anyway I am looking forward to seeing our friends later on.

Humphrey is downstairs.

Alvin is of course at my side.

Going to head to the shower, need to feel some refreshing water hit my body.

Thursday night we are going out for supper to celebrate my daughter’s 40th Birthday.

So excited to celebrate my baby’s birthday with my kids.

Tuesday is the birthday of my son-in-law’s brother.

Happy Birthday D (early).

Okay, time to get going here.

Lots to do.

Have to have some toast and coffee.

I think I have worked up an appetite.

Happy Happy Sunday.

Be kind and respectful always of everyone and everything in your path.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Living … One day at a time.

Good Morning and it is Monday, the 23rd day of December 2019.

Can you believe it?

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve.

The house is quiet this morning with only Mr. Alvin sighing and Humphrey resting downstairs.

Quite the change from yesterday about this time.

We had a great day yesterday and both Alvin and I were ready for bed last night early.

Humphrey went home earlier last night than I had planned as he was at the front door, clearly wanting to go home.

I went over and picked him up already, looked after Cynder, shovelled the front walks including some of the neighbours.

I threw my coat over top of my pj’s went I went to pick up Humphrey and feed Cynder.

It was kind of freeing to be outside in my pj’s covered by my coat.

Anyway.

I hear Mr. Humphrey came upstairs to join us.

I wanted to share some photos ….. let us try this once again.

Then I need some breakfast and COFFEE.

Then charging ahead with this day.

PHOTOS:

First ones were of the puppies and Humphrey taken yesterday.

Thankfully it was mild out so we went into the backyard often.

Teddy found himself a getaway spot on top of the sofa.

GIFTS all wrapped for all of our fur babies:  Alvin, Aspen, Milo, Humphrey, Teddy and Kobi.

The office shots were from our tour of our newly renovated office.

That will be my workspace.

Yup, just a table.

Desks are a thing of the past.

Where do I put my coat?

I did not see anywhere for our coats.

Next was the highly anticipated parcel from our friend in Regina.

Alvin “did not keep his paws off till Christmas”

He even tried to open my gift and since then it is on the table until time for opening.

The baking was also in the parcel and the bag of pretzels, nuts and other goodies was made by one of my coworkers and since I loved it so much, she brought me my

very own bag.

Well the guys are getting restless and I am hungry after my workout shovelling.

Time for breakfast and start some more laundry.

Perhaps I should think about getting dressed soon.

but then not I think not.

Well another casualty …. Humphrey was playing with a hanging that I had on the closet door.

He pulled so hard it came off the door and broke.

ARGH.

Time to go now.

I hope that you all have an awesome Monday.

Almost Christmas now.

Happy Monday.

Always, Carol, Alvin and Humphrey

Living … One day at a time.

Whew, GOOD MORNING, I made it to the last day of work before Christmas break.

I am so excited to have some time at home with family and friends.

Last night our parcel from our friend back home arrived.

It had gone to another city in a different province hundreds of miles away.

Delaying it by a couple of days but it arrived yesterday.

While Alvin was eating his supper I quietly slipped out to the mailbox to retrieve the “golden” oh so special parcel.

Alvin noticed right away but I managed to place it on the counter in the kitchen and get him sidetracked with getting ready to go for a walk.

Off we went.

Not a long walk but it was a few blocks and that is always better than nothing.

I guess we should be doing YOGA or some stretching exercises and perhaps lifting some weights.

Alvin knows how to do “downward dog” so he is off to a great start.

First item on the agenda was to open the gift from our friend.

She always sends some things that should go into the fridge “like baking, like yummy stuff.”

I opened the box to see some colourfully wrapped Christmas presents.

One of the tags on a package read “PAWS OFF ‘TIL CHRISTMAS” To Alvin from V.

Well once Alvin caught a whiff of that package there was no turning back.

He started to bark in excitement and kept going until I had to cave and let him open the package.

I texted our friend to “say he can’t wait.”

The video I recorded of him opening the package was over one minute.

I lost track of time.

At one point just after the minute mark I decided to give him a hand.

So we got the last bit of paper and opened the package to see what appeared to be OREO cookies.

In vanilla and chocolate.

I figured they would not be OREOS as everyone knows dogs cannot have chocolate and sugar is definitely not good for their tummies and little bodies.

The package read “Just for DOGS, Natural something or other.”

The label put my fears to rest so I opened the package and gave him one, he gobbled that down and then a second one and finally after three, I managed to slip the rest of the cookies

into the pantry in his container with treats.

That container has treats for Humphrey as well (when he comes to visit).

He was not happy that I put them away but it had to be done.

Safe to say after all the barking, I am quite certain that I am not a very good “pack leader.”

He is spoiled beyond belief.

He is social and great with everyone including most dogs and cats but listening to me, well not so much.

Anyway, after that.

I found in the box a tin of Christmas baking from my friend (I had one of the cuban lunches, OMG, so delightful).

There was also a bag of my favourite sweet treat “biscotti.”

I placed my Christmas present under the treat to be opened at Christmas.

I was making my supper when I heard paper rustling in the living room.

Rushing in to find …. Mr. Alvin eagerly trying to open my Christmas present from V.

I grabbed it quickly and luckily he didn’t get too far, so the gift remains a surprise till Christmas.

What a guy!!

First time in the almost ten years since I adopted him that he has actually tried to open one of the gifts.

He sometimes sniffs about but never actually touches anything.

I then texted my friend and she thought it was likely because he could smell his cookies on the parcel.

After several days in the same box …. likely everything smells likes COOKIES.

Oh well.

It was cute for sure.

After the lecture from me regarding the constant barking to him, he actually sat on the sofa while I was eating my supper.

He faced forward and would not be look at me.

I think he knew that I was not a happy camper.

I could not be mad at my boy for long, he is me Alvin, after all.

But he has such a shrill bark that it can cut to the very core of your being and slice it in half.

After supper and cleanup I finally got to call my sister.

We enjoyed a nice long chat.

Alvin remained quiet.

I guess he made it up as between the two of use we were up several times over the course of the night.

ARGH.

Something made woke me and I jumped up …. not sure what it was.

Anyway, almost time to leave for the last day of work.

My neighbour is giving me a lift to work.

Carpool is starting Christmas vacation today.

My neighbour is driving me to work (even though she is not working today which I did not know) as she wants to get an early start.

I am one lucky girl.

Well almost time to go and pick up the poop.

I hope that today is a great day for us all.

Quiet on the phones so that I can finish all my mail before the end of the day.

Happy Friday.

And so it begins…….

Always, Carol & her Alvin

Living … One day at a time.

Good Morning and Welcome to A Wintery Morning.

Meaning we have SNOW.

Well yesterday throughout the daytime it was raining and gradually throughout the late afternoon and early evening it turned to wet snow.

The sticky stuff and it has not melted.

We are covered with a thick blanket of snow once again.

The trees look so pretty painted with snow.

It looks like someone took a paint brush and painted the top of the branches with a white fluffy paint.

The last bunny that I saw was almost white.

Last night was the GIRL GUIDE SNOWFLAKE TEA/COOKIE SALE.

They changed the location after like forever.

To some HIGH SCHOOL about 1/2 hour away from us.

The roads luckily were okay there and back.

The setup was much different than previous years due to the location, of course.

But worked out perfectly.

I purchased 4 dozen cookies and squares.

My favourite purchase was “puffed wheat cake.”

They had them individually wrapped.

We enjoyed a visit along with a cupcake and drink, I had coffee.

I also picked up some Christmas coasters made by one of the older GUIDES.

They were made of ceramic tiles, cannot wait to undo the ribbon and view the other three.

Alvin was so happy to see me when I arrived home.

Well I guess we will not have photos this morning.

I ran into technical difficulties or rather human something or other.

I am quite certain that your vivid imagination can picture the snow covered branches of the trees.

Perhaps they will end up here tomorrow.

As if by magic.

Have an awesome Wednesday.

Time to finish getting ready.

Perhaps shovel a bit of snow on the deck.

The rest will be tonight.

Travel throughout your days with kindness and respect.

Always, Carol & Alvin
