Thought for the day…..

Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday the 6th day of May, 2014.

How are you this fine morning?

I must admit that I am feeling less than stellar but I am working on keeping positive thoughts flowing through my brain.

The sky outside my window is dark and foreboding and I think that moisture is on it’s way.

Okay so that was a little “dark.”

Earlier I got this thought from nowhere ….

I was thinking about this “hot pink jersey dress” that I wore to my first school dance or we so lovingly call them “sock hops.”

It would have been 1970 or 1971 and I was 13 or 14 years old.

“Crimson and Clover” played at that dance (or so I remember, anyway).

I was so excited to go to this dance.

I do not remember where I got the dress from but I absolutely loved it.

All these years later I can still picture it in my mind’s eye.

I have no photo of it and I do not know where the dress ended up.

But I loved it.

It had long sleeves that flowed into a elastic cuff at the wrist and the necklace was scooped or peasant style (that was in) – bordering on hippy perhaps.

I felt like a princess in that dress.

To this day it was and shall evermore be my favourite piece of clothing.

What is your favourite article of clothing?

What feelings does it evoke?

Well now it is snowing …. can you believe it.

From the time it took me to write the above few lines to now it is snowing.

WOW, that was fast.

Time to go.

Have a great day.

Special Hello to: all my friends from Corning, Saskatchewan ….. you rock.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day…….

Remember to say hello or perhaps strike up a conversation with the people that you meet when you are walking down the street.

I met another one of my neighbours this afternoon while taking Alvin for a walk.

Guess what, she is from Saskatchewan and grew up by Estevan and lived in Stoughton and knew my birthplace Corning. So exciting….

You never know what treats you will receive when you just say Hello.

So be friendly, smile and get to know people.  I think you will be pleasantly surprised.  I know I love meeting people.

I love to engage people when I am out and about.  Even if it is only a Hello and a Smile …….  🙂
