Thought for the day……

Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday the 29th day of July, 2014.

It is starting to lighten up outside ….. each morning it stays darker just a bit longer.

Ah, how I miss those mornings when the sun was up high in the sky before 7 a.m. …..

It has been cooling off at nights so makes sleeping easier.

Always good when you do not have to have the air conditioning on all night.

Alvin sits at the window looking out upon his domain …. or at least the back half.

I think we are all adjusting to the move.

Just a few more things to finish up at the house over the next couple of days and it will be ready for the new owners.

I love having my bedroom window open and listening to the neighbourhood waking up.

In the not to distant distance you can hear trucks and cars passing on the highway that goes around our city.

The odd dog barking to be let into the house.

Folks are likely running about their homes getting ready for the day.

Stay at home Moms preparing for the day ….. crafts and other activities.

Dad’s dressing and ready to leave for work.

Working couples getting everyone ready so kids can be dropped at daycare.

Dogs and cats wanting to go outside.

We are almost ready to leave for work.

I hope that whatever you are doing today whether going to work or staying at home or perhaps travelling to some faraway location …. that you have a smile on your face and contentment in your heart.

Lives are worth living.

Always remember to live your life.

Each and every moment.

For that moment will never pass again.

Happy Tuesday.

Special Hello to: my friend “L” back in Regina ….. miss you my friend.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day…..

This afternoon my friend Lea accompanied me on a walk with Alvin.

It is mushy, slushy, icy and wet out there.

But we all need the exercise, so we braved the elements.

Lea wanted to take the reins so to speak (Alvin’s leash) and so she did.

It was so cute, they would get a bit ahead of me and then Alvin would stop, turn around and make sure that I was there.

He did that on the whole walk.  Guess there is a guy who wants “me” around.  LOL.

We had a great visit.  I sure am going to miss her.  They leave for Quebec on Sunday.  I am going to miss the whole family.

So the thought for the day is this …… always spend time with those you love ….. because you never know what tomorrow will bring.

A month or so ago, I never would have  dreamt that the Enchill family would be moving away.

So remember, take the time when you can and spend it with family and friends.

I am so happy, deep down in my heart that I had another opportunity to spend some time with my friend Lea.

After the walk she came in for a little while.  We were planning some crafts for Friday afternoon.

Friday I am babysitting a couple of little ones, and then the Enchill children will join us for crafts.

Party time ……

Before Lea left, she had to try the treadmill.  She did very well.

All I can say is this ….. Quebec will be so blessed to have this wonderful young lady join their population and Alberta, well, we will be missing her.

OMG, the sun just came out….. YAY……  Big smile….

So remember ….. VISIT …. PLAY …… SMILE …… LAUGH …… ENJOY LIFE …… cause you never know when things will change.

Change is good but just different.

Someone is barking and wanting my attention as he plunked down on his tummy …. nope he is up ….. I know it is suppertime.

Gotta go.

Always, Carol

Happy Valentine’s Day

I had a light bulb moment today.

Realized that it was less than one week until Valentine’s Day.

So I got out my supplies and made a bunch of cards for those special people in my life.

Well, truth be told ….. there are so many “special folks” in my life and I simply would run out of supplies including stamps before making enough for all of them.

So for those folks that do not receive one of my “homemade” Valentine’s Day cards in the mail …… HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY.

I love you all……..

Craft Supplies for Valentine Cards

Homemade Valentine's Day Cards

This is what happens when you make things!!

More cards .....

Construction Details:  I took some “card” size construction paper that I happen to have on hand.

This paper came in a pad with a variety of colours and designs.  I folded each sheet in half.

Then I took some red construction paper and cut it in widths matching the size of the folded card.

The red paper became the inside of each card.  I had some ladybug stickers and since they were “red” I figured they were appropriate

for my Valentine’s Cards.  After that just wrote a little verse in each.

Simple but so nice.  I love receiving cards in the mail and receiving them period.  Also better when homemade.

Well my friends Lea and Mahee-Lee just called and they are coming over.

So have to sign off for now.

Always, Carol
