Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 12th day of December, 2018.

The weather forecast is for plus temperatures for the next week.

Hopefully the ice will melt and dry up.

Hard to believe it is December.

But perhaps not.

Maybe this is our new norm.

If there is such a thing.

We have had a huge amount of snow followed by some cold weather interrupted by mild temperatures.

Well this morning I am running late.

I cut one finger on my right hand a couple of days ago while fixing supper.

Not serious enough for stitches but enough to keep bandaged while it heals.

Of course, I wash my hands a billion times each day and am going through the bandaids, like crazy.

Perhaps I should have thought to have picked up some “liquid bandaid.”

Now that would have been a great idea.

Also my fingertips are cracking.

Tis the season.

The air is somewhat dry.

So even though it is quite painful, it is more that they are tender making some of the easiest tasks, a pain.

I cannot wear bandaids on each finger or I would not be able to work.

I am on the computer all day plus handling lots of paper.

Anyway, I am slower this morning than usual.

So not great stories or words of wisdom for this Wednesday.

My day is always off to a GREAT start when Mr. Alvin lays his head beside mine when we snooze on the sofa.

Oh, I love the little guy.

Hopefully it will be good for walking tonight.

 

Wished that I had some pea sized gravel for the front sidewalks.

Just putting it out there.

 

Okay, time to go.

Special Hello to: all those folks who are a bit stressed between work and the holidays.  It has been crazy as our office is temporarily locating to an office down the street from our current location.

The office is being moved in stages.  We go next week.  In the meantime, it has been semi organized chaos.  We are busy on top of it all.  Our current building is being renovated.  That will be great.

Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday the 3rd day of October, 2017.

Frost this morning ….. it stands out on the cars as I looked out the bedroom window.

We are going to have double digits to the positive up to and including Friday.

Not sure about the weekend as yet.

I am so grateful that ALL of my yard work is complete.

Well almost ….. the grass has to be raked ….. my neighbour said she would give it one last cut and that would take care most of the fallen leaves.

So at that, I guess I am ALL done.

So grateful for a great neighbour.

 

I was speaking to Mr. Alvin this morning while I was getting ready this morning.

Saying that “yes” we are getting older but that is okay.

He cocked his head to one side and then to the other.

Agreed or not.

 

Well getting close to time to leave.

It is difficult to get up when it is starting to get colder outside.

All our bodies want to do is SLEEP.

I would have made a great BEAR.

Mmm, maybe not.

But I would have the hibernation thing down pat.

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Saturday the 17th day of June, 2017.

What a gorgeous morning outside with the sun shining brightly and a stiff breeze to keep things comfortable.

We had, I had a semi nice sleep as Mr. Alvin was up at 4:30 and then every hour or so after that …… argh, I will say.

He does not like me to sleep in …… not at all.

Oh well, time to get this day on the path.

We are finished breakfast, sipping on coffee and have already made the bed and wrote in my gratitude journal.

After this post and then my Countdown: 60 days to 60 post – I will be hitting the shower as Mr. Alvin has his regular vet appointment at 10:30 a.m.

It will be a lovely walk for us.

If I were ready in time we could take the long way but that is not likely going to happen on this day but we have done it.

We will have another walk later today.

After the vet appointment ….. coffee with the girls …… coffee with one of the girls as the other is busy this weekend.

Nice to get together with friends and catch up on the goings of each household.

I love watching the trees swaying in the wind.

We did have some rain for a few hours last evening which cancelled our walk with our friends.

Rain good for our plants and flowers and grass and trees.

All plant life is the most beautiful green at the moment.

Also last night before and after supper I worked on the back lawn ….. which worked out perfectly with the rain later in the evening.

My neighbour gave our front lawn a proper cut and it looks amazing …. which worked out perfectly with the rain later in the evening.

We had perfect timing …..

I have these spaces in my back garden now because of the shrub removal earlier in the year.

So I have a grand idea that will not cost me any money and I like that idea.

I have these tall – planters (heavy not made from plastic or resin).

One of the planters is on the deck just holding some solar lights and the other is tucked away in the garage.

One of them had partially disintegrated and so I placed it in the garage.

Just a bit on the bottom ….. making it not look nice.

Anyway I think I can make one or both of them work in the garden space.

They can be actually planters or some kind of cool holder …..

Excited to get going …..

Well now to write my 60 days to 60 which is now 54 days to 60.

I am both excited and nervous …..

Have an awesome Saturday.

Also, my daughter may be coming for a visit.

That is always GREAT NEWS for us.

We love having her over …..
