Thought for the day……

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 17th day of May, 2015.

It is bright and sunny outside.

It also feels warmer outside than inside my house this morning.

Guess turning the thermostat off was not a great idea.

This morning it was 61 degrees ….. I don’t have a celsius thermostat.

But blankets and sweaters helped.

No wonder all I wanted to do this morning was stay cuddled under the blankets.

It was Mr. Alvin who convinced his Momma to get up and get to it.

First thing I did was open all the blinds and the house warmed by a whole degree.

Amazing how warm that sun’s rays are ……

I had not downloaded my flowers that I bought for the deck and front porch until just now.

Flowers always make me feel great so thought that I would share them with you.

Once it warms up a bit it will be planting time.

They spent the night in the garage as it was forecasted to freeze last night and I did notice a bit of frost on one of the neighbour’s car windows.

After this blog I need to bring the pots back out onto the deck so they can enjoy the sunshine.

I hope that this flowers bring you a bit of joy on this Sunday morning as they do for me.

They always make me feel giddy and wonderful.

Smiles everyone.

Happy Sunday ……

Special Hello to: every living creature on our planet …. Happy Sunday

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day…..

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 4th day of September, 2014.

Just starting to get light out at 6:27 a.m.

Ah, the warm/cool days of autumn are upon us.

By the calendar or rather Mother Nature not officially until near the end of September.

I love this time of year and wished that it would last until at least January.

The temperatures are comfortable for a sweater or light jacket most days.

You can still wear sandals but light socks in a shoe is good as well.

The leaves are starting to turn colour and before long they will be a mass of oranges, reds and yellows.

Alvin and I are starting to prepare for our annual family photo.

I already asked the photographer and she said “whenever you like.”

Are we not the luckiest people to have a resident family photographer.

So on this September Thursday I hope you are well.

I know you are likely struggling to some degree to get up the past few mornings ….. you are not alone.

Unless you are a true morning person …. you have likely been wishing to stay snuggled under the covers.

Oh well, this too shall pass.

Our bodies will acclimate to the changes …. our minds will follow.

SO I hope that you have a great day.

Take a walk and enjoy nature.

By the way, our roses down the street by the entrance to the lake are still blooming …. oh they smell divine.

Love them….. definitely in my top ten loves.

Special Hello to: my family and friends back in Regina – miss you all.

Always, Carol and Alvin
