Last Half 2022 – August

Good Morning ALL! What a beautiful morning it is! Alvin and I left the house at 8:10 this morning and arrived back home at 9:30. We saw our friend Lucy out working in her garden. She is a neighbour of our friends Pauline and Al. Lucy has such a beautiful garden. She keeps it immaculate, there is not one weed in her lawn. I wished that I could say the same. Her roses are still blooming although they have slowed down. Her tomato plants are huge and are bearing lots of that delicious red fruit. We had such a lovely chat, I always love stopping when she is out in the yard and catching up. Alvin say patiently while we chatted. We must have been talking for over 30 minutes when he decided it was time to go. So we said our goodbyes and were on our way. We walked to Pauline’s before turning around to head for home. Pauline’s garden as I have mentioned on several occasions is my “happy place” and it was nice that when Lucy and I were speaking about gardens she mentioned about how beautiful Pauline’s garden is and that it makes her feel so relaxed and healthy when she is standing there. I told her that I felt the same and that always refer to it as my “happy place” and we had a giggle. Well today is my second last day of vacation so despite the temperature today, I have to get busy and get some things done. According to the forecast it is not going to be as hot. Lucky for us and for all our furry friends everywhere.

Well it is taking forever to upload photos from computer to this post. I noticed that it does not appear that any of the photos from my photo uploaded/downloaded with me catching the fish. Honestly I did catch four.

Okay, I have been working on this post for over two hours now. Some photos from my birthday week. How can you tell I love flowers?

Back to getting some work done.

I need another cup of coffee. I am going to work up the front flower bed. There needs to be another plan for what to plant next year or buy some shrubs for the bed.

Have an awesome rest of the day.

I had the best birthday. 65 is off to a great start.

Continuing to live this life with kindness, respect, compassion, patience, love, laughter, understanding, gratitude, focus, possibilities and coffee.

PS: Some new neighbours that moved to Canada from Germany lost their cat. It escaped through the A/C in the window. Prayers that they find it soon.

The New YEAR 2022

Good Morning ALL! How are you this morning? Sorry that I am late but we had a mishap earlier. Alvin woke up at 3:00 a.m. to go outside to go pee. I was not able to open the back door so I quickly got him ready and my coat on, to go out the front. Once back in, I played around for quite a long time to get the door open. The deadbolt lock would not open. Finally I took a screwdriver out of my tool box which I am glad that I brought into the house and had in my front entranceway closet. I took said screwdriver and pushed the deadbolt “tongue” until it open. The deadbolt is in the open position now but cannot lock it. Without the deadbolt in place, there is a draft coming in from the backdoor. I was so tired earlier that I propped up a broom and an umbrella hoping that would work, but not really. I texted my Manager to see if okay to take the morning off as I was a walking zombie by that time. I had basically been up since 3:00 a.m. Anyway not to complain. So I took the morning off. I have been fiddling about with the door and the inner workings of the deadbolt came out so I guess it is fair to say that I need a new deadbolt. I came up with a solution to hold the door closed with no draft and that was taking a couple of (exercise) weights that I had in the basement and pushed them against the bottom of the door. Voile. No draft. It was easier to see during the daytime. Anytime band-aid solution but a solution nonetheless. I cannot go and pick up a deadbolt and it is far TOO BLOODY COLD to be changing the lock so the weights will keep it closed properly so that I am not heating up the great outdoors. Besides I almost had a coronary when I received my EPCOR bill yesterday is was just over $469.00 which is up over $120.00 from last month. Seriously at this rate, not sure what to do. That is absolutely bananas. Now that bill does include heat, water and electricity and garbage and waste but still. That is a huge increase over last month. Everything but our pay is increasing. What are people going to do?

Well on that note I am going downstairs and having a cup of coffee while I can still afford to buy coffee and while we still have it in the stores. Who knows what will be off the shelves next. Luckily I am stocked up with pantry staples so will be okay for awhile.

I hope that you are safe and warm.

Continuing to live this life with kindness, respect, compassion, patience, love, laughter, understanding, gratitude, focus and possibilities.

Always, Carol & Alvin

2021

Good Morning ALL! What a whirlwind of previous days we have had here in Edmonton, weatherwise. The wind has howled. The clouds have rolled in and I mean rolled in. I am not sure if I have seen clouds motoring that quickly ever or at the very least in a very long time. One minute the sun would be shining and the sky would be blue as I looked out of my kitchen window and then I turned and looked out of the living room window only to see darkness. I would run to the living room (which is not far) to see these huge dark looming clouds preparing to pour some moisture down upon us along with wind. I moved my flowers back onto the deck from the garage in the morning before I started work. When the winds got up throughout the day, I moved some of my pots to the shelter of the house. I snapped some close ups of my beautiful plants and will download them from my phone to the computer later on. The sun is shining brilliantly this morning and there is a breeze. I will say after being such a hot Monday, then hot and humid Tuesday today is a welcome relief. Luckily for us last night it did cool down. Oh Summer Weather. Now for some reason I have one of the songs from GREASE stuck in my head. “Summer Nights,” I think it was called. Anyway, worse things could be stuck in my head.

Yesterday after work we headed out for our walk. We missed the one at noon because I wasn’t sure if it was going to pour on us or not. So we stayed home. After work we got ready quickly and headed out the door. Alvin was pretty much leading the way as always to the park. When we arrived at the park, we usually turn and go into the park but no he had other ideas. He pulled with all his might as he kept on going. I knew where he was going. As he was a guy with a mission, I just let him go. Alvin was firm in his plan and would not give an inch that was for certain. He did stop at one point to pee. Not surprised. All dogs have to do that at least once on a walk. As we got closer and closer to Teddy’s house he ran faster and when it came to the street to turn down, he knew exactly where he was going. Up their driveway ahead of me and then up to the door. I ran the doorbell and I could hear Iris say, just give me a minute and then her husband opened the door. I apologized for just showing up as I always do and he said as they always do “we love to have you, don’t apologize.” In fact, a few minutes after our arrival as Iris had been upstairs she remarked “you know if the pups were kids, they would all be at your house or here” and that could not be a more true statement. I said that I would try to not apologize when we arrive unannounced as if it was not a good time, I know they would kindly let us know. We went in and then out onto the deck where we enjoyed a cool drink. I had can of ginger ale. Not much for pop, but I do enjoy ginger ale occasionally. Alvin was quite vocal for a time on the deck and we were not quite sure what he was trying to say and then he calmed down. We had a great visit and then we were off home. Home to have supper for both of us.

We spent the evening quietly. Just putzing and watching recorded episodes of “BEAT BOBBY FLAY” and I really enjoy them as they are 30 minutes long and go quickly and I learn a lot from these cooks and chefs. I love seeing his guests interacting with him. Plus it is funny.

Well looks like the time has really passed quickly and I had better head on downstairs and get signed onto the computer and plug in my coffee. Good thing that I prepared it before coming upstairs.

Have an awesome Wednesday.

Remembering to live each and every day and moment as full of kindness, respect, compassion, patience, love and gratitude and adding thoughtfulness and listening. I have to work on listening.

Happy Wednesday.

Always, Love Carol & Alvin

2021

Good Morning All! How are you this morning? We are great. Glad that it is Saturday. The sun is shining and the sky the most exquisite blue. Had some excitement this morning. I regress to yesterday. We had a great walk at lunchtime yesterday. It was windy but we managed to remain on the ground and even got to see two families of geese. Oh, the goslings are so cute and fuzzy. You just want to cuddle with them. Later in the afternoon, it started to rain. My daughter came after work to drop off some lawn chairs that they no longer had room for on their deck so I accepted them. I have lots of room on my multi leveled deck. We had a yummy supper of stir fry. After cleanup we including Mr. Alvin went over to check on Humphrey, Bogart and Cynder as their Momma is away for a well deserved weekend away from home. Humphrey said hi to us all and Bogart was a little distanced. One of the cats had thrown upstairs so I cleaned that up. Neither seemed to be ill or anything. He wasn’t quite sure. Not like he doesn’t know us but he was cautious. When we were going to leave he growled as Alvin was going to pass close by him. Just playing it safe, I had his leash on at that point so I steered him the other way. After my daughter went home, I did some clean up and then watched a bit of television before heading to bed. I think that I have mentioned before that I had purchased some “fake” nails from my friend’s daughter who has her own little business. When we girls were all together last weekend purchasing some nail kits, I thought that it would be fun to have all three of us wear our nails to Gillian’s birthday party which is in 1.5 hours on my deck. The instructions are not to put your hands in water for at least two hours after putting them onto your nails. Well the only time that would work for me would be before bed. So that is what I was doing a 10:30 last night, in my bathroom putting on these nails. Which by the way is making it difficult for me to type. Hopefully I get used to them before Monday. I work the late shift on Monday. I have them on and managed to keep them on so far today.

This morning we were up about 4:00 and then Alvin ate at 6:00 but I did not wish to get up to stay at that time. I really could have as I felt more awake at that time then I did at 7:30 when we got up to stay up. But it was so cozy on the sofa and I had been dreaming. Shortly after up, I made the bed and grabbed a sweater before heading over to feed the cats next door. I was in the kitchen putting out some wet food (already filled their dishes with dry) when the front door was starting to open, almost had the big one (okay being slightly dramatic) when a female voice called out and it was my neighbour bestie who comes every Saturday to use her basement for a zoom dance class. We startled each other. Shortly after that the orange cat that was out visiting stopped by. One minute on the fence and the next on the deck. Bogart was inside of course and the cat was sitting outside patio door on the deck. Bogart was not impressed. I am not sure what he was saying. Humphrey came along and he just sat and watched the cat. A few minutes later the cat jumped the fence from the ground, scaled the fence and then jumped onto my garage and down the other side to the fence and was gone. What an agile creature. Kendra had her class so I said that I would be over later.

What an interesting morning. Not sure how excited I am about these nails. Hard to type. I suppose you get used to them. Anyway. Time to go and get dressed for the party. It is a nice morning. Cannot wait to see the girls.

Have an awesome morning, and rest of your Saturday.

Continuing to live this life with kindness, respect, compassion, patience, love and gratitude.

Always, Love Carol & Alvin

P.S. I am so close to 1000 followers ….. very exciting. Thank you to everyone. I appreciate your time.

Second Half of the NEW YEAR.

Good Morning after WHAT A  NIGHT!

Another storm rolled in after a hot sunny day.

I am reading this book which is a crime psychological suspense novel.

THE TURN OF THE KEY by Ruth Ware.

WOW, what a book.

Likely not the best to be reading before bed with a storm looming.

Anyway that is what I have been reading.

I only read a few pages last night as we were up late.

I decided to rent a movie “The Old Guard” from our cable provider.

It was good but it was 10:30 by the time it was over and then we had to get ready for bed.

So it was late for me and Alvin.

After putting down the book – I found it hard to settle down.

Alvin did as well.

Likely in part as it was warm.

I had the electric fan on a low setting with the window open.

At first there was not much of a breeze but it increased over time.

I would just almost be asleep and then Alvin would stir.

Then settle down again.

Only to be awoke by this noise.

It sounded like someone was in the house and coming up the stairs.

I froze.

I could not move.

No blinking of my eyes or beat of my heart, as I momentarily held my breath.

As I lay there in sheer terror for what felt like forever – I suddenly realized that Alvin was not stirring.

Odd, as he would have been up and barking if there were anyone or anything in the house.

So I took a breath and looked around the room in the partial light coming in from the windows.

One of the blinds was not closed to the bottom of the window so a bit of light was coming in.

As I lay there I scanned the room.

Nothing and then I realized where the noise was coming from.

That whossing, small thud was coming from the door.

The darn door.

I was relieved to be sure.

I have started in the last couple of years to close but not shut the door tight.

My thoughts were if something happened to me during the night at least Alvin could get out of the bedroom.

I still was a bit nervous, I will be say but I climbed out of bed and closed the door.

The noise stopped.

I stopped and listened and no more noise.

Do you think that I turned on the light and looked further, absolutely NOT.

So that was our excitement for the night.

Alvin woke up about 4:30 or was it 5:30, actually I do not remember as I was so tired.

Exhausted after two nights of storms.

After he was fed, watered and went outside we hit the sofa, it was 7:22 when we woke again.

My mind said get up but my body said not until 8:00 a.m. so I set the timer on the microwave for 40 minutes.

We were up just after 8:00 a.m.

The sun is shining and the birds are singing.

I went outside in my pj’s to the backyard to move my potted flowers back to their spots away from the protection of the house.

Surviving another storm.

I decided to go into the garage and bring out the cushions for the patio furniture and put up the umbrella as the sun is shining bright.

Thinking that was a great idea until I checked the weather station and they are forecasting rain to start at 9:00 a.m. which is in less than 10 minutes now.

Oh well,

I have decided to take Mr.Alvin for a walk after I am done writing this post as according to the forecast we are to get rain off and on all day.

My friend Gillian invited me over for coffee at 10:00 so there is time to get out for a walk before I leave.

She lives about 3 minutes away.

So that was my night.

My day was far better.

I did some laundry, gave Mr. Alvin a haircut and bath and worked at my job for 3.5 hours.

I know, crazy working on a beautiful afternoon.

But there is so much to do this really gives me peace of mind that I will not be super stressed out during the week.

I have a few hours to do this afternoon as well.

I was thinking that I have not been further than a few blocks from my house since March 19, 2020.

My daughter and my friends have been picking up groceries as I need things.

To be honest the thought of going on the bus or to the store or to work slightly frightens me at this point.

Well I must go.

Time to get the boy out for a walk.

There is a nice breeze.

Wishing you a great Sunday.

Be surrounded by love and laughter.

Living in kindness with respect.

I/We shall remain,

As Always, Carol & Alvin

This morning exactly the same as yesterday.

Oh, I put the cushions on the furniture ….

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 9th day of December, 2018.

The sun is now shining and the sky is clear.

What a Saturday I had …..

Master Teddy slept over on Friday night so I had both of the pups here yesterday.

We were up a few times during the night as I mentioned yesterday.

So the baking and laundry got off to a late start but a good start.

I somewhere along the line decided to change up the cookie menu and make the following:

Raisin Nut cookies, Oatmeal Chocolate Coconut cookies and Chocolate Chip Cookies.

After the first two cookies were baked I took a break and we went for a walk.

It was so nice out.

Me and the pups went for the full 1/2 walk and it was great.

Once back to the house after checking and doing more laundry, it was back to the cookie baking.

The time past and then it was time for the boys to eat.

I opened the pantry door which is on the interior wall in the kitchen to fetch the food.

Note: that I had been in and out of the pantry all day long.

The pups did not act any differently than usual BUT when I moved the plastic container which housed Al’s food I saw something move and I freaked screaming so loud that I

almost gave myself an anxiety attack.

The pups stopped in their tracks.

I grabbed the rubbermaid container that is currently housed the excess baking supplies and placed it in front of the pantry door.

Knowing full well that it did not completely block the opening at the bottom of the door.

I need weather stripping.

I grabbed the phone and started calling neighbours and by the fifth one I finally reached someone at home.

It was my friends that helped with the dryer, installing the trap door by the dryer vent on the deck and so on.

My friend “N” came over shortly thereafter.

I wasn’t even sure it was still in the pantry but when he opened the door …. yes it was still there.

It moved.

I screamed.

He tried in vain to catch it with his gloves ( it was very small ) but it ran under the basement door and the chase was on.

I kept the dogs away.

My friend followed it down the stairs and watched it run to the bottom and into the family room.

He asked where the light was and I yelled down where it was …

I got up the courage to go down the stairs not quite to the bottom but I could see over the stairway partial wall what was going on.

I said to close the door to the furnace room as the carpet is so thick he would not be able to run under the door.

There were a few boxes stacked in the corner by the trunk and he gingerly removed each one looking for the little creature.

ARGH.

He said we should try and catch it in the vacuum.

I took the vacuum down and plugged it in removing all of the extensions so it was down to the handle portion.

We did not see it for awhile and then it came out and ran along the wall.

I screamed.

The chase continued.

After several minutes of chasing the mouse from one side of the room to the other.

Under the television stand and around and back, my friend caught the mouse in his big thick gloves.

I ran FAST up the stairs to unlock the back door and back to the living room to keep the dogs away and to be at a safe distant.

My friend, the male friend who is older than me – did not quite get how absolutely terrifying this was for me.

So he went to show me what he had in his gloves – I screamed and he went to the back door and threw it onto the snow bank.

Which in hind sight was likely not the best plan as I watched from the bay window in the kitchen, at a safe distance …. it running down the snowbank toward the house.

I felt coldness fall over my whole body.

My friend had shut the door and was checking the weather stripping to ensure it could not get in that way and determined it likely came in when I had the door open for the dogs.

He determined that it ran under the deck at the house by the garbage can and just told me to leave the door closed and perhaps take the pups out the front if they had to go.

Not really that easy.

Anyway for a moment I calmed down.

By this time, I lost my desire to continue with the baking and felt sick and drained.

I cleaned up the kitchen.

Made sure that the boys had supper.

Made a bit of supper for myself when Teddy’s Mom and Dad arrived to pick him up.

I told her quickly and she said that she could stay with me if I wanted and I gratefully said no, that is okay.

After Teddy left …. I ate supper….. we just left all of the lights on as I heard they do not like bright lights.

I settled down later to watch a movie when the phone rang and it was my friend who was on her way home from Calgary.

He had arrived home and saw that I had called … I had not left a message.

I retold the story and she had some ideas.

After a lengthy conversation I told her that I had been watching a movie (rented one) and it was getting late by then so had to go.

Thanking her for her call.

What a night.

WHEW.

I must get this show on the road as I am once again baking and have a long list of things to do.

I know what it is like to be so terrified of something that it stops you literally in your tracks.

So scared that it is hard to think straight.

I know in my brain that it is silly to be scared of something so small when I am so big.

Perhaps it is because they are so fast.

Perhaps it is because they can carry disease.

Perhaps it is just because I had two, no actually three bad experiences when I was a child.

Scarred for life.

Special Hello to: all those folks who have fear for something …. I know your pain.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday the 20th day of November, 2018.

Feels not too bad outside this morning.

I can always tell by the way that Mr. Alvin reacts to going outside.

If he hesitates for too long ….. then it is cold.

Our walk last night was not even half of our regular walk due to the ice.

As it was almost dark when we left home – taking a chance and slipping, no.

Happy that we were able to get out for some fresh air and exercise.

Especially for Mr. Alvin as he is stuck in the house all day long.

I was lucky that I had a nice walk at lunch break.

Can you believe it?

The 20th day of November already.

U.S. Thanksgiving almost here – Thursday, November 22nd, 2018.

Canadian Grey Cup – the 106th game is this Sunday, November 25th, 2018 here in Edmonton.

Lots going on this week.

Alvin has his regular pedicure and “stuff” this Saturday morning.

Although it does not rank up with Thanksgiving and the Grey Cup – it is VERY important to Alvin and to me.

How about Christmas?

The 5th Monday from today is Christmas Eve, December 24th.

YIKES.

ARGH.

OMG.

Perhaps I did not count correctly.

Double checked, no I am right.

Where did the time go?

Sure wished that I could bottle “TIME.”

Guess I would have “Time in a bottle.”

I am grateful that Christmas is pretty low key in our family.

My biggest jobs are baking and Christmas cards.

But both take some time, quite a lot actually.

I mail about 75 cards and then hand deliver another 50 cards.

All of the cards that I mail have a handwritten note/letter.

Most of the cards have a photo or two.

This takes time.

I have the cards already bought.

My daughter has taken the photos and edited them.

I just have to send them to be printed.

Then pick up stamps and then of course, mail them.

The baking I make 4 or so different items.

I end up with about 500 individual pieces.

These are packaged up and mostly given away to friends and family.

I make up individual packages and take to my immediate co-workers at the office.

So this is where most of my time is spent.

Decorating takes me some time but I have that all done.

Sometimes it pays to do things early.

My daughter and son-in-law have a pact that this year we are breaking for the first time in years.

We had been either making each other’s gift(s) or it had to be something from your house.

Something gently used and an item that you knew that person would like.

We are still doing part of that but we can spend a bit of money this year.

Tomorrow night, I am attending a GUIDE COOKIE SALE with my friend and her daughter.

I think that I will just give away the cookies that I purchase.

Or at least most of them.

I am always amazed by the number of different cookies at this sale.

They have tables and tables filled with cookies.

Hard to make a decision.

Well here we go again.

Time to go back downstairs and put the finishing touches on getting ready before heading out the door.

Alvin is resting on his blue blanket.

I love listening to him breathe.

I could snuggle next to him all day long if I had the time.

Such a good guy.

Okay, time to fly.

Have an awesome Tuesday.

I hope that you have a great day.

Remember if you have lots to do to prepare for Christmas.

Start early.

Do one thing at a time.

Break it down.

Special Hello to: my friend “V” …. hello …. have a great day.

Always, Carol & Alvlin

Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 26th day of September, 2018.

Today is the birthday of my favourite son-in-law.

Okay, I know he is my only son-in-law but he is still my favourite.

Alvin and I want to WISH him the best day.

We are looking forward to seeing him on Saturday for a party.

YAY.

Alvin has done all of the planning and he is so proud.

So excited.

Last night it was absolute perfection.

I got out my capri “sweats” and wore only a long sleeved denim shirt (no JACKET) and sandals.

YAY, so nice.

The air was warm, the birds were hanging out, folks were out walking with their pups, the leaves were so happy for the warmth that they were proudly displaying their greens.

The fountain was still flowing in our neighbourhood pond/lake.

Love the sound of water, like that.

I remarked to Mr. Alvin about the colour of one of the bushes by the lake it was a delectable green with pink coloured berries.

So so pretty.

There are some yellow, orange and red leaves for sure.

It was a perfect evening.

We so enjoyed our walk.

Our friends were out in the back yard preparing for the next season.

Even in FALL their yard is beautiful …. still some flowers blooming.

We stopped and had a nice visit.

Well almost time to put the finishing touches on before heading out to work.

Alvin is once again tucked up by my legs  ….. he does love his Momma.

So cute.

Have an awesome day.

No matter what lies ahead of you.

Just take it one step, one file, one job, one chore, one thing at a time.

That is all we can do.

It sometimes can feel daunting and overwhelming but in the immortal words of a wee character from one of my favourite Christmas (animated) movies: put one foot in front of the other and soon

you’ll be walking out the door…

Words to live by.

Special Hello to: my son-in-law …. Happy Birthday.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday the 17th day of August, 2018.

Yay, today is Friday.

I love Fridays.

The sky is overcast with smoke once again blocking out the sunrise.

I cannot imagine what it must be like in those areas affected by the forest fires.

We are hundreds of miles from the fires.

The air quality is poor here ….. scratches the throat and burns the eyes and congests the nose.

I pray for rain.

I am grateful to all those brave souls who go to help put out the fires.

Putting their lives at risk.

Please keep them safe.

Keep them all safe.

Please look after the animals whether domestic or wild.

Last night after work there was a bit of a reprieve from the smoke or at least it did not seem to be so much.

Alvin and I took this opportunity and went for a walk.

We left the house at 5:00 p.m. and arrived back home at 6:30 p.m.

Needless to say we stopped for visits along the way.

Our friend “P” who has the most amazing flowers was outside in the garden.

Alvin can smell her a mile away so he pulled me to her back gate.

She was ready to take a break so we sat in the shade and visited.

She offered me a nice glass of iced tea and Alvin some treats.

I had water with me for Mr. Alvin which he drank most of the bottle.

We filled it up before heading for home.

I always enjoy our visits.

We chat about a number of things ….

I always learn something new.

I just saw a wasp buzzing at the office window.

Yikes, I guess they can fly high.

After we were on our way home from her house about 6:15 p.m. – we saw our friend “Jazmin” sitting on her home crafted ottoman at the window.

Alvin went to go up their walk and I said “home, buddy.”

We had not had supper yet.

But just as we were both back on the main sidewalk, I heard someone calling my name.

It was Jazmin’s Mom ….. so we went for a short visit.

Jazmin was so happy to see us.

Her Mom said that when she saw us she climbed off her ottoman and went to the door.

So happy that she is feeling better.

Well almost time to leave for work.

Have an awesome Friday.

Guess you never know where a walk will lead you or how long it will take.

Great friends, I am blessed.

Special Hello to:  all those celebrating birthdays today.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 11th day of October, 2017.

Yesterday was a great start to my “work” week.

I accomplished everything on my work “to do” list.

As I was waiting for the bus with a guy that I know from the office; this car stops and someone was waving.

We looked at each other and wondered aloud was this someone that knew one of us? or thought that they did?

After a few seconds and before the light changed I decided to just walk closer to the car so that I could see who it was,c and it was for me.

A gal that I had met on the bus that lives in a neighbourhood north of me had noticed me so stopped to see if I would like a ride home.

How simply wonderful is that?

Pretty great, I will tell you.

As it turns out she had started to carpool with her son and he is on a week vacation so she is continuing to drive.

She works downtown so she drives right by bus stop.

She had wondered if she would see me.

We had a lovely chat on the way home and she advised that she should be able to give me rides home all this week.

My bus friend said that she will pick me up from my work.

Also said that her son loves tea and has started to drink more and wanted to see a catalogue.

BONUS.

Also our Canada Post is having FREE shipping on parcels every Tuesday in October for those who have this certain small business card, for which I do.

Anyway I had been unable to set up an on-line shipping account until yesterday.

Last night I went to my friend who uses it and was able to print the postage label for my parcel.

BONUS.

What a crazy great day.

Alvin and I had a wonderful walk after work.

I think that today is going to be even better.

So put on your easy going positive cap and walk out your door.

No worries ….. be joyful.
