Living … One day at a time.

Hello and doing a little happy dance as today is FRIDAY.

YAY, I have a busy weekend ahead of me but doing things that I love.

Well perhaps giving Mr. Alvin a hair cut and bath is not exactly something that I love to do but that is okay.

I see lots of BAKING on the horizon, write up Christmas cards for the co-workers, wrap Christmas presents and the regular stuff like laundry.

Tonight I start off with going grocery shopping after I get home from work and get Alvin looked after and go for a walk.

Last night our walk was to the Vet and home to pick up more food, some treats, toothpaste, and his glucosamine chews.

I have started to supplement his dry food with a bit of wet.

He thinks it is a treat.

So cute.

Well today feels like a day to post photos.

Some of my favorite photos from 2019.

What a crazy happy sad wonderful year it has been.

I hope that are having a great day.

Take a look back at your photos for this year.

Enjoy ….

Photos can always bring a smile to your face and warmth to your heart.

Happy Friday.

Love Always, Carol & Alvin

Living … One day at a time.

Hello,

Well today is Thursday, no rain overnight.

Yesterday was perfection.

We so enjoyed our walk with Teddy and his Aunt J.

Couple days into our regular routine and Alvin woke up early.

Both Tuesday and Wednesday he slept until the alarm went off.

This morning we beat the alarm by waking up at 4:00 a.m.

I guess you could add me to waking up early as well.

Yikes, a little bug just flew past my nose.

ARGH.

Will have to be on the hunt for that bug.

At least it was not a fly.

I do not like flies.

How about some more holiday photos?

More photos of the HOODOOS @ Drumheller, Alberta.

If you ever have the chance to visit this area, please do so.

It is incredible.

We did not climb to the top but there were other visitors that did make the journey.

Also at Drumheller is the Dinosaur Museum …. the Royal Tyrrell Museum.

We did not go there on this visit but we have visited before and it is so spectacular.

Worth the time.

We investigated little nooks and crannies.

Imagining life a long, long time ago.

There was some vegetation here and there.

The colouring of the formations was different at every angle.

Well time to fly here.

I hope that you enjoy some of the photos from our girls trip 2019.

It is always fashionable to be kind and respectful.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Living … One day at a time.

Hello, well one full day back in the real world, my reality, anyway.

Not so bad.

Work is busy but that is not a surprise.

Always good to be busy.

Last night after work Alvin and I were joined by his BF Teddy and his Aunt J.

We walked around the big lake and it was glorious.

Such a beautiful night ….

I thought that I would share just a few of my vacation photos.

  1. Has to be one photo from inside the car.  Actually I took a great many but not as many as last year.
  2. NOTE:  I was sitting in the back and my sister was the navigator this trip.
  3. HOODOOS – Drumheller, Alberta (our day trip).  So beautiful.
  4. HOODOOS – Natural beauty
  5. HOODOOS – Cave
  6. HOODOOS – such a variety of colour, it was windy and warm
  7. HOODOOS – great way to spend the day and I have more photos to share.

Well I have realized that it would be much faster if I uploaded the photos from iPhoto to WordPress before the morning.

Now it is time to go back downstairs and finish getting ready for work.

I will just keep posting vacation photos for a few days.

There are so many photos that I wish to share with you.

We had such a great time.

This year my sister joined us (my daughter and I).

We three …. had so much fun.

Back tomorrow.

Spend your life giving kindness and showing respect.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday the 7th day of August, 2018.

It is almost 7:40 a.m. and my daughter is likely on her way to pick us up.

The sky has that overcast (perhaps smoke from the forest fires in British Columbia) look.

The sun is up.

Alvin and I went for a walk at 6:00 a.m. before the heat of the day sets in and our last walk until I get back home.

My daughter is picking us up and then we are dropping Mr. Alvin off with my son-in-law.

He will stay with “S” and Aspen and Milo.

Alvin had a bit of a limp this morning but did not appear to be in pain.

He climbed up the stairs easily and on and off the bed.

Mm, a cool breeze just wafted in through our open office window.

It is only a few minutes until we leave on the ROAD TRIP.

My daughter and I are going to AIRDRIE, Alberta which is just outside Calgary.

There is a HUGE antique “mall” there for us to explore.

We are meeting one of my daughter’s friends at the antique place about mid afternoon and then later meeting my brother at the hotel.

We will go for supper together.

Tomorrow we are hoping to drive out to DRUMHELLER, the home of the dinosaur museum (TYRELL MUSEUM).

Explore and relax.

Home on Thursday.

The forecast is to be in the 30’s so we likely will not get much walking in but that is okay.

As long as we are together.

Gotta run and make sure that I have everything and have the house closed up properly.

I will be back on Friday with photos and stories.

Have a great week.

Special Hello to:  YOU ALL, thank you.
