Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 2nd day of July, 2018.
WOW, we are now in July, the first full month of summer.
Starting out with rain in the forecast.
Alvin and I are going for a walk right away before it begins to rain.
Rain is in the forecast for the next three days.
Yesterday I saw a part of the fence in the back yard near the top had loosened.
It appears that the wood has rotted.
So it will need to be replaced.
I also was checking out the rest of the fence in the back yard and found that the section of fence between my neighbour in the duplex is starting to lean.
At first I thought that perhaps the wood had rotted and was starting to give way.
This morning when my neighbour was over to get some coffee; we chatted about the top boards that had loosened between us.
I asked her to come and see the other side.
She thought perhaps it was due to the stonework on the other side which is pushing against the wood causing it to lean.
ARGH.
No matter what, I am not sure how to fix it.
There is no way that the neighbours will be digging up the stone work to fix the fence, or at least not likely.
So will have to figure something else out.
Anyway kind of relieved that there is another possibility other than rotting wood.
It won’t be long and the fence should be replaced anyway.
That will be interesting.
One side is stone work with a garden and on my side is deck right up to the fence.
This could be interesting.
OH well, that will be for another day.
There are always things to be done and or fixed when you are a homeowner.
I see painting in the near future.
It has been way too long.
I woke up yesterday with a plugged ear and this morning when my neighbour was here it unplugged.
Those first sounds are so loud it caused me to stop talking.
Well time for us to hit the road for a walk before the rain arrives.
I hope that you are all having a great long weekend if you live in Canada.
If you live in other parts of the world, I hope that life is treating you with kindness.
Happy Monday.
Special Hello to: my sister ….. hello …..
Always, Carol & Alvin
