Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 10th day of May, 2017.

Another gorgeous morning here in Edmonton.

The sky is a little overcast as the sun rises in the east (like it would rise anywhere else, silly me).

Last night just a second after I arrived home and was going to open the back door for Alvin; the phone started to rang.

For a split second ….. let Alvin out or answer the phone, dilemma.

I let Mr. Alvin out as he had been waiting what must feel like an eternity and then picked up the phone.

It was my darling daughter.

She had stopped by Value Village on her way home from work.

Checking things out.

We are both whenever possible making purchases that are reflective of our values.

Values being reuse and recycle ….

Guess what?

I had found a pair of sandals in a flyer that I really wanted.

She found almost the exact same pair and from the same store in VV.

They were in perfect shape and less than 1/4 of the price.

Awesome.

I asked if she could swing by with them and she said yes, invited her for supper.

Alvin and I had a nice walk and then we had our girl here for supper and a visit.

SCORE.

Lucky Momma.

Well here it is once again time to leave for work.

The mornings go by so quickly.

I hope that you all have an amazing Wednesday.

Tomorrow is Thursday and PAYDAY.

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 3rd day of September, 2015.

It is beginning to get light …. sun starting to rise in the east.

We had some rain last night ….. actually coming down quite hard just as we were going to bed.

Our walk was dry and beautiful earlier in the evening.

Well it is Thursday ….. payday for some of us.

It is only two more sleeps until my friend arrives at my house.

I am so excited …..

Do you have days when no matter how much you try to remain calm and focused you cannot?

I have been having them as of late.

I have chalked it up to the time of year.

My body just wants to sleep but responsibilities get me up and going for the day.

Sometimes there are those people that no matter how hard you try … they just get to you.

Today I am going to try not to take things personally and just do what needs to be done.

Sometimes it can just be someone annoying on the bus that make me crazy.

Sometimes not.

Oh, well I guess I am only human.

I can laugh and cry about it all.

Today I chose to laugh.

My life is pretty great so when someone crosses my path that pushes my buttons,  I must take it in stride and do my best to reflect my blessings in the kindness and respect of my actions.

Does that make sense?

Moving on …..

I am so grateful that Alvin came into my life.

He has brought me love and laughter.

He shows me patience and respect.

He is a good guy.

Sometimes even the good guy comes across someone that even he “growls at.”

Well I hope this all makes some sort of sense.

I feel fall in the air and actually even though I want to sleep, I love this time of year.

So on this Thursday I am going to repeat to myself:  “I am happy and thankful for all of the joy in my life.”

Let us try it.

Cannot hurt …. always positive affirmations.

Thought for the day…..

Welcome to Tuesday, July 10th, 2012.

Forecast is for another hot day but this morning is absolutely gorgeous.

I love the mornings with that tinge of coolness to the air.

Hey but hot is good, too.  Just have to temperate it with coolness.

Last night my Amanda had supper with me as her hubby had a boys night out supper.

So we had fun with the puppies and relaxing.

The puppies spent the night.

Thank goodness for A.C.  (air conditioning).

We, me and the puppies: Alvin, Elton and Penny were comfortable.

I thought that perhaps they would have me up but it was me that was wide awake at 4:45 a.m. this morning.

So that is the thought for the day….. if it is hot and you have air conditioning ….make certain that you share the “coolness” with others.

The sky is that breathtaking blue as the sun rises in the east.

OMG, so beautiful.  I love mornings.

Well the troops are getting restless …. so I should sign off and go tend to the “puppies” …..

I hope that you have a great day ….. keep cool….. no matter what you are doing.
