Good Morning ALL! Happy Easter! I would like to wish one of my dear friends Paulette a very Happy Birthday. Today she joins the “65” year club. Happy Birthday my Friend! Today is also Easter Sunday. My overnight company is still sleeping. Actually Amanda and the pups were up for a bit as pups had to go pee. Aspen remained up and is on her bed looking out of the window in the living room. Her most favourite spot. The sun is shining and it looks to be a beautiful day.
Yesterday I had the grand pups for a walk just after they were dropped off. The air felt so nice. Just a tad cool. Seemed strange not having Eddie and Jack for a walk. Not long after we got home, Aspen started to bark and noticed Jeanette, Alejandro and the boys were heading toward home from their walk.
I forgot that 14 years ago yesterday I registered for Word Press. This post has changed my life and I love being able to write on this platform. I very much appreciate all of you reading my blog. Thank you.
I have to go and finish thawing the turkey because live and learn – should/could have started the thawing process in the fridge a day earlier than I did. But oh well, not the end of the world. I am going to finish the process in a cold water bath. One advantage to only three of us for a meal, we are not caught up on an exact time. I am going to try for 4:00 p.m. but if it is a bit later, that will work as well.
I hope that the Easter Bunny brought you some treats.
My family gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
Time to head downstairs and have a cup of coffee and place that turkey in a cold water bath to finish thawing it out. The morning will pass quickly and I want to have things done in a timely fashion.
Amanda and I watched the new Aquaman movie last night and it was quite good.
I am grateful that my family is here with me now.
I am grateful to have so many wonderful friends that have graced my life over the years.
I am grateful for my siblings for being who they are and for whom I love deeply.
Continuing to live this life with kindness, respect, compassion, patience, love, laughter, understanding, gratitude, focus, possibilities, coffee and forgiveness.
Always, Carol, My Forever Angel Alvin, Amanda, Steven, Aspen, Milo and all the Angels.
