Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 17th day of April, 2019.

Well this has been one heck of a week thus far.

We watched in sadness, as the flames engulfed the roof and spire of the world famous NOTRE DAME CATHEDRAL in Paris, France.

One of the five oldest in the world.

We clapped and cheered as HODA KOTP announced the arrival of her second daughter “HOPE CATHERINE” a big sister to HAILEY JOY.

Now last night we listened as they announced a new government for the province of Alberta; the United Progressive Conservatives with a controversial political figure.

Time will tell whether or not he is a good fit for Alberta.

I guess the majority of Albertans thought he was or perhaps just did not want the other major player to resume her place in Government.

Much like the Americans did when Trump was elected.

Not really the best way to vote.

What does one even say after all of this.

I will say one thing I am over the moon for the news about the arrival of the new baby for HODA and JOEL and HAILEY JOY.

She is one of those people that even though we have never met – I feel like I know her.

We do share the same birthday (just not same year).

Over the next few days we will hear more about what caused the fire at NOTRE DAME.

I heard on one news broadcast that fire fighters and police formed a human chain to remove as many priceless artifacts from the Cathedral.

The Crown of Thorns said to have been worn by Jesus.

That was one of the items that they mentioned.

Inside NOTRE DAME …..

Well today we have an on-site all staff meeting.

One of my co-workers is picking me up.

Sure was nice to sleep in and to still be at home with my boy.

Well I hope that you all have a great day.

Lots going on at home and in the world this week.

Remember to be kind and respectful.

We do not always like the same things …. that is for sure.

Happy Wednesday.

Gotta love the sunshine …. clear skies.

Special Hello to:  YOU, today.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day…..

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 6th day of May, 2015.

Waking up to a brand new world for Albertans.

After 44 years of Progressive Conservatives in government we have a new party leading the way, the New Democratic Party.

Perhaps a change will get us back on track.

Also woke up to SNOW ….. yes, SNOW.

I could hardly believe it and then my thoughts went back to last night and there was just something in the air.

Confirmed this morning when I looked out of the window.

“Oh, and when my friend and I arrived for bootcamp we were surprised to see a POLLING STATION.

They forgot to tell us….. oh well.”

On mornings like these it would be nice to just let Alvin out to do his morning constitutional and then go back to BED.

But that is not happening this day as I am off to work.

Yes, I have not forgotten to go and see Miss Aussie, she needs some attention, food, water and medicine.

Oh, and our new Premiere is a WOMAN.

So on this Wednesday I am grateful for the moisture even though it is not clear and requires me to carry an umbrella.

I am grateful for change in our government, which I believe to be a good thing.

I am grateful to be ahead of schedule this morning.

I am grateful to be alive and in good health.

I am grateful that Alvin loves to be on my lap while I write in my gratitude journal before breakfast.

So this is a “GRATE”day.

Well I have to add a couple of items to the outdoor apparel before leaving to see Miss Aussie and for my walk to the bus.

I hope that you have a grand day …..

Special Hello to: all of the Mothers out there this is our week …… we are grateful for each and every MOM.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day…..

Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday the 22nd day of October, 2013.

Wow I read on FB last night that my “hometown” of Regina had snow.

In western Canada receiving the white stuff is inevitable.

But I am really glad that our weather has remained warm.

Alvin and I had a lovely walk last night.

Our thoughts are with our “Penny” as is not feeling her old perfect self.

But we hope we bounces back to good health the same way that she tackles life.

Election in Edmonton, and I as turned off the television last night, Don Iveson had been declared the Mayor Elect by CTV News.

So there will be new faces around City Hall.

So that leads me to a thought ….

How are you with change?

Something to ponder.

I am a work in progress with change.

Sometimes the work progresses quickly, and other times a bit on the slower side.

Depends on the change, I guess.

I do try to find a positive spin for most things as they happen in my life.

Change does help you grow.

So consider “change” and what do you do when it happens?

Special Hello to: our NEW MAYOR …. CONGRATULATIONS.

Always, Carol and Alvin
