Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Saturday the 3rd day of March, 2018.

WOW, we have SNOW.

Originally Alvin and I were up at 5:00 a.m. and in order for me boy to go into the back yard, I had to SHOVEL.

Yup, shovelling the deck at 5:00 a.m. in my p.j.’s and my coat, of course.

Once done, we hit the sofa for a couple of hours before starting the “waking process.”

Almost as much soon as earlier.

Made coffee …. my neighbour while making her way over to the house started to shovel.

So still in my p.j.’s went out and joined in the shovelling and even shovelled the neighbour’s in the other half of the duplex.

Feeling extra kind this morning.

Although likely by the time they leave the house – it won’t be noticeable.

Oh, gotta love winter.

I will say that I have the most comfy p.j.’s.

So in between items on my TO DO LIST, I will be shovelling.

Still have not done the driveway so it will be likely over 6 inches accumulated by now.

Good exercise and the snow is light and fluffy.

Back to 5:00 a.m. – I glanced out of the living room window and saw the street lights shining on the snow giving the appearance of billions of diamonds.

So beautiful.

So thoughts for this day ….. just a quiet time ….. get some chores done ….. snuggle with me, Alvin ….. enjoying life.

Perhaps you are able to just stay home ….. do some work around the house and enjoy life.

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 6th day of December, 2017.

Today is the 59th Birthday of my dear cousin “J” …….

Wishing you a Happy Happy Birthday dear cousin.

May this next year be filled with perfection of all things.

 

Well as December seems to be zooming along where are we in the grand scheme of things.

Right where we should be.

Whatever you get done for the holidays is just what needs to be done.

If something is missed it is for good reason, it was not necessary.

Simple is best.

Enjoy this time of year.

Enjoy the music, the extra nights out, the food, the sweets, and the gifts.

But most of all enjoy each other.

Be kind to each other.

If someone is in need – lend a helping hand.

 

Well someone here took a few minutes extra sleep this morning and needs to run.

Gotta catch that bus you know.

Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 24th day of August, 2015.

It is a good morning here in Edmonton …. sun not shining just yet but it will.

What a beautiful Sunday we had ….. I hosted a yard sale and did well.

It was fun being outside all day and I think Alvin enjoyed it as well.

We had neighbours drop by for a visit and made some purchases.

Well this is going to be short as I actually slept in this morning.

Thank goodness for my neighbour who works in the same area and can give me a ride.

Thought for the day ……

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 16th day of August, 2015.

It is a glorious overcast cooler morning here in Edmonton.

Yesterday we had a bit of rain but for the most part it was just overcast and cooler.

Quite the change from the 30 degree temperatures we had during the week.

Looks like the sun is going to shine today so that is awesome.

I had a great Saturday ….. my daughter was here in the morning for a bit before they left for home.

Always great having a sleepover with my favourite girl and grand-puppies.

Even got to see my son-in-law as he came and picked them up.

Followed by a most successful Steeped Tea Party …. my coming out party so to speak.

Lots of food and the Marguarita theme was awesome…. too much food ….. leftovers.

It was fun and I continue to learn lots.

I love the tea and the products.

Well my neighbour is having a garage sale (actually front lawn sale) today … and I promised to lend a clothes rack and a table or two so I have to go and get them up and out.

Today is just a quiet day …. relaxing …. maybe a bit of work but I am going to relax.

Time …. we all need to take a bit of time.

To kick back and read or just sit in mindless joy.

I am enjoying a cup of coffee which is my favourite morning “thing to do” …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 27th day of April, 2014.

WOW, April 27th, 2014.

Isn’t that cool?

What are you doing on this special day?

I am going to work at the store.

I love working there.

Only wished that I could take Alvin with me …..

He would have fun with all of the girls.

He loves the girls more than the guys.

Not sure why.

But he definitely is a ladies’ man.

The sky is overcast here in Edmonton and overnight we had a skiff of snow that was still on the snow when we first got up this morning.

Now it has disappeared into the ground …..

Funny to have rain yesterday and into the night.

It is likely the last snowfall for now.

That would be good.

Rain …. it is time for a few showers.

Oh, Mr. Alvin …… he wants to look out of the office window but alas the ottoman is by the bed.

Our bedroom windows are low enough that he can look out of the window but not in the office.

He does love to look out of the window.

I guess that is a “dog thing.”

But nevertheless he does enjoy partaking in the view of the neighbourhood.

He keeps an eye on things everyday.

We could learn a thing from Mr. Alvin and others ….

Take the time to sit down, relax and look out of the window.

See what is going on in your neighbourhood.

You might be surprised.

So, on this lovely Sunday ….I hope that you are enjoying yourself.

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 6th day of February, 2014.

Can you believe it?

Thursday again ….. didn’t we just have one.

Isn’t it great that we keep getting Thursdays.

I love Thursdays.

It might be my favourite day of the week.

Although I do love Saturdays …. for different reasons.

Do you love Sundays because you can perhaps relax and enjoy a day at home?

Do you love Mondays because it is the “first” day of the week?

Do you love Tuesdays just because you can?

Do you love Wednesdays because it is the middle of the week?

Do you love Fridays because it is the start of the weekend?

Do you love Saturdays because it is the weekend?

Well lots of reasons to enjoy each day of the week.

Whether it is for work or play …..

Each day of the week is always a good thing.

Good Wednesday Morning and Welcome to the 8th day of May 2013.

Wow, where does the time go?

It seems like it was just Sunday and my wonderful nephew was here to have a visit before going to work.

 

Do you think about time?

Does it seem like the day starts and ends before you truly get anything accomplished?

Does it seems like one morning you were 16 and the very next day when you got out of bed you were 55?

Does it seem like one morning it was Friday and then it was Friday again the following week?

 

I would like to bottle time.

Wouldn’t that be great and then you could just have a sip when you wanted to extend your day or some event.

I guess that would be too crazy.

 

But as we all get older ( I know lots of you are young, and don’t think about this quite yet ), but time does seem to zing by.

So all I can say is GET OUT THERE AND ENJOY EVERY SINGLE MOMENT.

Don’t sit on the sofa thinking about what could have been.

Don’t wallow in the “I didn’t get everything done today.” stuff.

Cause it is not worth it.

Just have fun …. enjoy every moment you can …. take the ball and sink a basket ….

Well here it is time to go to work.

I hope that you all have a wonderful day ….. make sure that after supper you go for a walk.

Enjoying nature always makes me feel wonderful and the exercise doesn’t hurt either.

Thought for the day…..

Well, GOOD MORNING …… Happy Thursday December 8th, 2011.

So how are you this morning?

I hope that you sprang out of bed.

Full of joy and ready to have the best day of your life.

I sprang out of bed until I realized that it was 3:20 a.m.

At that point, Alvin had jumped off the bed thinking it was time to get up.

So we both went back to sleep until 4:45 which is a more respectable time……

It was funny but not …. because when I opened the back door to let him out for his morning constitutional ….

He just stood there ….. sniffing and sighing and then turned around and went back into the kitchen.

Guess his bladder is stronger than mine.

So cute.

Anyway, we settled into our morning routine.

He did finally go outside but guess who put on her coat and boots and of course, mitts and went out with him?

Mrs. Jones, Ms. Smith, my neighbour …… no sir … it was ME.   LOL.

That’s it ….. just some sharing today…… we all go through our fun little things every morning no matter who we are…..

This is a great day …. ENJOY…..

Thought for the day…..

Well here it is Saturday, September 10th …… WOW.

Our weather has been amazing and my thought for this wonderful Saturday morning is ……

ENJOY.

Have the best day ….. I love this time of day before it gets too hot (but is great to have this weather at this time of year).

Take a walk now …… sit out on your patio, deck or steps and enjoy a cup of coffee and just gaze around your “hood” and be happy.

SMILE.

So from me to you …………HAP…HAP….HAPPY SATURDAY….

Now I am going to sit out on my steps and drink my coffee while waiting for my ride.
