Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 25th day of April, 2017.

Well there be clouds in the sky but we did not receive any moisture overnight or this morning thus far.

I know why I have been feeling less than stellar the past few days.

No SUNSHINE.

There is forecast for partial cloudy skies for the next few days and you know what that means ….

Partial means.

There will be some SUNLIGHT.

Thank goodness.

I thought that I was going to shrivel up …..

Love the rain but NEED the sunshine.

Both Alvin and I are sunshine kind of creatures.

We will welcome the light …..

By the weekend it is to be sunny and warm.

So excited to have a nice weekend.

One where we can get outside.

TWIST, TWIST ……

I cannot get one of the songs from the Flintstones out of my head.

“There’s a place we know … where the kids all go called Bedrock …. twist ….. twist …

I am not sure if I have remembered those words correctly or not but I can hear the music in my head.

Loved that show.

Fred and Barney.

That is me and Alvin.

He is Fred and I am Barney.

Or maybe it is the other way round.

Well here it is once again time to leave for work.

Sure seems like that comes up quickly.

I guess because I spend most of my waking hours at the office as do most folks.

On this Wonderful Wednesday …. I wish you a safe, productive day.

Special Hello to: all those folks who foster animals … thank you.

Always, Carol & Alvin

P.S. just to add that my daughter is giving me a ride home after work, stopping at Costco.  I love our car ride visits.

Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 23rd day of March, 2016.

Mid week …..

Actually for me only today and tomorrow to work as it is an extra long weekend for us.

I am so grateful to have some extra time off.

Alvin is going after work to his Sisters for a sleepover until Friday.

She will bring him home and stay for a visit …. I always LOVE her visits.

So I packed him food, treats (cooked carrots as they have to be soft), his blue blanket and his medicine.

He loves his blue blanket.

This was the special blanket that his Foster Parents gave him when I adopted him.

The blanket covers the seat and arms of the chair by the window so he lays on it every day except laundry day.

Amazingly enough the blanket looks like new and it is six years old.

I will miss him as I always do but it is important for him to spend time with his sister, brother-in-law and Elton.

He will have fun for sure.

I have been thinking as of late about all of the children and animals that are not allowed to live proper happy, safe lives because of ADULT human beings.

There is always an add on television or on social media about the abuse and neglect going on across this planet.

It breaks my heart and whenever I hear or see these stories I just want to give the person doing these terrible atrocities  a SMACK across the head (I know violence does not help).

I am outraged at these ongoing actions and it hurts to my core.

POWER,  MONEY and downright GREED …..

Something needs to be done.

This needs to be stopped.

What is wrong with these people?

My wish is that every living creature on this planet is able to live their entire lives in peace, happy and safe.

We all deserve this ….. EVERY creature big or small.

I hope that you would intervene if you saw a child or an animal being neglected or abused.

It is up to us to help …..

Well it is time to get ready to leave for work.

I hope that you have a great day.

Special Hello to: all those people who work hard each day to bring goodness and light to every person and animal they encounter.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day…..

Good Afternoon and Welcome to Saturday the 3rd day of January, 2015.

WOW, it is Saturday.

I got off to a late start so this blog which would normally have been written early in the morning is being written in mid afternoon.

I just needed some extra sleep this morning.

Definitely need to get back into my regular routine.

OMG I just about had a heart attack.

I removed the rug from beside my bed to throw it into the wash (doing laundry) and unbeknownst to me Alvin was trying to jump onto the bed.

The floor is laminate and is slippery and all of a sudden I heard a crash and as he flew into the air he came down on his back onto the floor.

I jumped up and scooped him into my arms.

He seems to be okay … sure hope so.

Reminder to self ….. watch him when the rug is gone from the bed side.

I did have an IKEA ottoman which was perfect for him to climb up onto the bed but this summer when I sold the matching chair I decided to sell the ottoman.

Next on my list is to replace it ….. it was perfect as it had a gradual incline for the puppies.

Oh, my heart is still racing …. my poor baby.

Well just having a regular Saturday …. doing laundry and some cleaning ….. getting back to the norm.

I hope that you are having a great Saturday.

Listening to the soundtrack from “Guardians of the Galaxy” …. love that music.

Watched the movie on New Year’s Eve … great movie.

I was so grateful to receive a couple of  iTUNES gift cards for Christmas so have been downloading some great music.

Time to get back to work.

Happy Saturday.

I do have a great life.

Special Hello to: my friend “P” who left me a voicemail …. yes we will chat soon.

Always, Carol and Alvin

This is “me Alvin” ……. with one of his Christmas presents.

Laying on his blanket that was a gift from his foster parents …. coming up five years old.

I am shocked it is still intact.
