Living … One day at a time.

Hello,

Partially okay mostly overcast sky.

Woke to up wet …. must have rained overnight.

I am so glad that I did not over water the flowers on the deck.

Well today is Thursday.

As I look out of the office window I feel that the day ahead is full of possibilities.

Even when there is room for concern – one must stay focused on the good, the positive and the possibilities.

Without that ….. life is pretty crummy, you feel pretty miserable and definitely no where near joyful.

Keep that glass half full mentality and every cloud has silver linings attitude.

We must for our mental and physical health.

Enjoy our life ….

We only have one kick at this ….

I love this quote I heard on a morning show that I recorded …

“Limits are for credit cards not people.”

That is absolutely perfect.

Keep that in mind as you go out into the world.

If you are retired or just home for whatever reason …. it applies to you, too.

Kindness, generosity, loving and caring attitude.

Warm and welcoming.

All will get you to a better place.

Gratitude tops the list.

Life is full of sunshine and rainbows.

I saw both yesterday morning while waiting for my carpool.

A double rainbow ….

I wish you a day filled with sunshine and rainbows and the heart to be grateful for them.

Happy Thursday.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday the 19th day of May, 2017.

Off to a great start weather wise.

Sun is coming up and sky is pretty clear but just in case I am going to take my umbrella.

One snag as I was putting on my stud earrings I lost the back …. thankfully I have an extra one.

Hopefully I find the lost one tonight.

Perhaps it will fall out of my clothing later ……

Thinking today is a throwback Friday …..

Remembering this day last year…

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 19th day of May, 2016.

Overcast and a bit windy ….. is RAIN on the way?

Sure hope so even though I am hosting a garage sale tomorrow and Saturday.

It is in the actual garage so we will be dry as will our customers.

I was thinking this morning as I was readying myself for work ….. ” ***** ”

What would it be like to be the “tissue box designer.”

Can you imagine?

Coming up with different scenes to have placed on a box of tissue for all the world to see.

I would love to do that.

How many other jobs out there interest you?

Something out of your current box but something you could totally do if given the opportunity.

Something to ponder for the next day or so.

For me it is time to go to work.

Alas the sofa was calling my name over and over this morning ……

Thank goodness I have tomorrow off ….. thank goodness for vacation days.

Have a great day.

I would love to hear from you as to your ideas on different jobs outside the mainstream office worker, retail, doctor, lawyer, plumber kind of thing.

Special Hello to:  YOU on this Friday.  It will be okay.  Keep you “glass” on the half-full side.  Happy Long weekend.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Saturday the 7th day of January, 2017.

Well here we are one full week into the New Year.

I hope that you are having a good one thus far.

My year I would say has been okay.

Perhaps not fireworks great.

I would say a couple of disappointing things happened but not life threatening so that is okay.

I always try to see life with the glass half full.

There are moments when I would like to scream and then once that is over I just take a deep breathe.

I am reminded sometimes by the news and sometimes by situations occurring about me that my life is pretty darn good.

I am in good health and although I am not “rich” by any means I have enough abundance in my life that I can always find a way to get through.

There is always a way.

Sometimes one would like for things to become more easy, I would like that.

I read about “Thoughts becoming Things” and I believe it, although it is hard to think abundant thoughts when things happen to the contrary.

So on this Saturday life goes on.

A week into the New Year.

Alvin and I are happy.

I am surrounded by good people.

I am surrounded by lots of friends and a good family.

I have my own house and I am OVER the moon thankful for my home.

I have two new cool pair of glasses (yay).

Alvin and I are in good health.

This morning my daughter and one of my grand-pups are coming for a visit and pancakes.

Grand-pup Aspen has a Doctor appointment this morning.

Checking on her eyes.

My children are good parents.

So time to go and have that shower (do not want to be a stinking Grandma!!).

Then get those pancakes made and COFFEE.

Always have to have coffee on the weekends.

Have a great day.

Be safe and warm.

Happy Saturday.

Special Hello to: All those people who are feeling down – take a deep breathe – find something in your life that is good/great and focus on that – it will get better.  If you cannot get out of the dumps – seek help.

Everyone needs help sometime.

Always, Carol and Alvin
