Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 11th day of April, 2016.

The sun is beginning to rise in the east and it is just after 6:00 a.m..

Soon it will be light when we get up at 5:00 a.m. and I love that ….

Feels like you have had a day when you get up with sunlight and go to bed with sunlight.

I heard that we missed some snow over the weekend.

We would like some rain …. it is very dry out there.

 

Well hard to believe that it is Monday already ….

We had a great weekend …. very busy.

 

I was thinking …..

Do you visualize your life with your dreams coming true?

Do you see the glass half full?

Do you see the glass half empty?

Positive or Negative.

How do you live your life?

Something to think about.

Even when life is screaming at me, I do try to see the positive.

I think that I see the glass half full.

I am mainly a positive person.

Now that is not to say that I have moments …. we all do.

But I try …..

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 17th day of September, 2015.

Another glorious morning ….. no rain overnight or frost.

So we are good on all fronts.

I was going to put all my flower pots into the garage just in case of frost and then saw that it was to be 5 degrees overnight so decided to take a chance.

This has been a long season for them to this point.

Pretty much all of my flowers and the ones in the neighbourhood are still blooming like crazy.

Especially with the rain over the past few days.

Now sunshine and we will be good for another few days or maybe even weeks.

This morning me Alvin decided that he wanted to be a “LAP DOG” …

Usually when I am writing in my gratitude journal he is laying on the sofa in the spot that I was on just a few minutes prior.

We still find time for a few minutes on the sofa before getting up to stay.

Anyway …. he was standing by the chair beside mine and looking up ….

I asked him “would you like up?”

He backs away ….

So I lean over and ask him once again.

Finally he walks over to me so that I can pick him up.

OO methinks that Mr. Alvin needs to cut back on the treats or more walks … yikes.

Footnote to his Momma …. you both need to start yoga ….. “downward dog” …… our cores need help.

As soon as I have him in my lap I place my legs on the other chair so that he has room to move.

With one arm around me Alvin the other one grabs the pen and begins to write.

Meanwhile Mr. Alvin does his “little 360” on my lap so cute.

He then ends up facing the other way with his head facing outward resting on my arm.

I always say to me Alvin and it is my favourite thing to say “cuteness alert” …..

He is pretty cute.

Mr. Alvin goes wherever I go.

He is attached to my hip.

I only hope that he is not too lonely when I am at work.

Hopefully he sleeps and keeps entertained with all that goes on in the neighbourhood during the day.

Anyway …. one more day this week … Friday…. once I start a day …..I am up so it doesn’t count.

I am taking different scheduled buses to find the best one for me to take.

Yesterday the bus got me to work at 7:25 and I start at 8:00 ….

Today I am hoping it works out to be at work by 7:40-45.

Also today marks the Happy Birthday of my Steeped Tea Leader “C” …. Happy Birthday.

She is an awesome person and I am glad to know her.

Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday the 4th day of August, 2015

It is a glorious but sad morning here in Edmonton.

My sister and brother who I have been with since Friday are leaving for home.

My sister is going to my brother’s until tomorrow and then flying home to Regina.

Home for my brother is Calgary.

Alvin has enjoyed their stay the past couple of days.

This will be short so that I can spend the last few minutes with them before they leave and before I leave to catch the bus to work.

Alvin will miss having them here as will I.

I hope that all is well with you all.

Thought for the day…..

Happy Friday, November 4th.

One thought keeps coming to mind.

Where does the time go?

I try to always remain in the moment, be aware and all that … but really …… Friday already!!

I hope that you have a great weekend and that your moments are all glorious.

I am having coffee with friends over the weekend and putting up my Christmas tree in between laundry and my part-time job.

All of the above are things that I love to do.

So happy weekend ….. I hope that you are doing what you love…….

Moments to Mention So Cute !!

This morning Alvin and I were out for our daily morning walk.  We were about three quarters of the way around the lake in our neighbourhood when I saw three Momma Geese and a whole bunch of goslings.  I tried to count them as they waddled quickly into the water.  There seemed to be about thirty of them.  So cute and fuzzy.  Across the lake was another Momma and her brood of four.   Two were hers and two she watches.  So I yelled across the lake so that the kids would have the opportunity to see all those babies.  In all of my years I have never seen so many baby goslings at any one time.  Then just when my heart was in total awe and amazement (and Alvin’s, too), I saw in the water another Momma Goose and her babies.  This was one of those mornings when you would just love to plop yourself down on the grass and just watch all this new life.  Also I WISHED that I would have had my camera with me.  Back to the other Momma,  well we have met several times before on our ritual walks.  She tries to get them out each day depending on the weather.

This was a glorious morning and I am so grateful that we happened to be in the right place at the most perfect moment.

Nature is so wondrous.
