Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday the 2nd day of May, 2017.

Did you say day #2 of May?

When it that happen?

I guess today.

This week is going to be FANTASTIC weather wise and otherwise, too.

The sky is overcast but does not look like rain clouds.

Strange.

I guess we shall see if the forecast is correct.

 

Just have photos to share with you.

Two of my favourite things and the other well just something to share.

I swear he is 5 pounds lighter with the new hair cut.

Definitely cute puppy dog alert ….. oh, how I love me Alvin.

Photo #5:  My new favourite food to make.  Homemade pizza.  My recipe.

Simple:  Pizza with tomato pizza sauce with garlic and parsley, then sprinkle oregano, followed by wait for it ….

my new favourite thing – caramelized onions and topped with cheddar/mozzarella cheese mix.

I must say that I love caramelized onions and funny thing.

After cooking for over 50 years – I have never caramelized onions before now.

Just been seeing many chefs on HGTV and FOOD NETWORK doing this …..

OMG, so GOOD.  Cannot believe.  I am hooked.

So tasty, seems amazing and is CHEAP to make.

Great for everyone’s budget.

Thought for the day …….

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 31st day of March, 2016.

Oh, the last day of March.

Guess what?

You will never guess what?

It was pouring rain here last night.

Cannot believe it …. March and RAIN.

 

SPECIAL FRIEND

People appear in your life day in day out.

Some come to stay while others come and go.

Some people you might have an instant connection with and others may not.

Some people you may be friendly with others become dear pals.

I have know “V” for many years.

We were friendly to each other and had a connection through our place of employment and also a family member on her side.

But it was not until I moved away to another city that we truly became good friends.

We keep in touch via social media.

She is one of those people that has a special and rare gift.

She is most kind and generous.

She is intelligent and hard-working.

She has a great sense of humour and perfect timing.

Yesterday I received an email via Facebook from my friend.

It read “CHECK YOUR MAILBOX.”

My heart jumped for joy.

I have come to realize that can only mean – good things.

But over the course of the day I had forgotten about the message.

Home after work – out for a walk with Alvin.

We stopped at the mailboxes.

It was not until I saw the special red mail key that I did my happy dance.

When I opened the mailbox there was a huge parcel inside.

We ran home ….

This friend had sent me some homemade goodies and chocolate from the REGINA EASTER BUNNY.

Complete with a card from the Easter Bunny apologizing for being late.

How cool is this friend.

Friends come and go but this one will stay.

How do I know?

Because she is kind and kindness always remains.

Thank you my friend.

Thought for the day……

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 19th day of November, 2014.

Tonight I work my first Wednesday night at the store.

Now begins the schedule of working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights and then Sundays.

I wonder how many people shop on a Wednesday night ….. guess I will find out this evening.

With it being the start of the holiday shopping season ….. I am sure there will be people out and about.

Our weather is still mild here in Edmonton which has been great.

My daughter and I had a great walk with the puppies last night.

They ran and ran …… so cute.

Oh what a life they have …….

Has this been a good week?

I started with conflicting feelings and trying to pull myself back to the light …..

I managed on Tuesday to change things around and everything worked out.

It makes a huge difference if you are feeling good and keeping your thoughts and actions going in a positive direction.

Now I know we are human and humans for some reason cannot seem to stay positive and happy at all times.

We are drawn in by our “ego self” and surroundings.

Perhaps things may not always work out perfectly but they sure can be close.

It is all a mindset.

Change your mind and change your life.

I remember a famous person stating that mantra.

It is so true.

I am so grateful to be living the life that I do.

Filled with love and laughter and so much more.

So on this Wednesday I hope that you find kindness and joy all around and if not create it.

Smile ….. open a door ….. buy someone a coffee …… help a neighbour …… LET US DO SOME GOOD THINGS ….. NO, LET US DO SOME GREAT THINGS TODAY.

Thought for the day…..

Hi Everyone !!!

What a beautiful day here in Edmonton.

Sun is shining and it is warm, warm, warm.

Both me and Alvin are happy campers.

He is wondering when I am going to get off of the computer and give him his supper.  LOL

I am certain that his patience is going to wear off …. any minute now.

I just wanted to post something on my blog …..

So thought for this day …… ENJOY YOURSELF.

I have to share something funny ….. not ha ha funny but strange funny.

Last night I made myself a lengthy TO DO list for today.

On that list I made note to call two of my girl friends that live in the neighbourhood.

Go figure, when I was returning home from an errand,  I bump into one of them out for a walk and

then the other one was walking with her kids passing by our house,  so Alvin and I went out for a chat.

Isn’t life funny ….

Oh, I took Alvin for a walk and looked down on the grass by the lake and found a LOONIE.

All bright and shining.

So between all that is going on in my life, I am reminded that good things do happen everyday.

You just have to look around and be aware.
