Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 2nd day of May, 2019.

Well this is what we woke up to at 3:30 a.m. today ……

Photos were taken a few minutes ago just after 6:00 a.m.

The temperature is to be +10 degree celsius so it will once again melt by the time that I reach home.

Or at least I am hopefully.

The moisture is good.

Sometimes you just feel in your very being that all is being purged.

All the bad stuff.

All the unnecessary junk.

A lightness is in your heart that feels as though life is given a second chance.

Sometimes it does feel as though you have control over life.

Anyway I know I am being cryptic but not my place to give details.

Just so happy that all is well ….

So on this Thursday I am feeling so extra blessed.

Alvin and I enjoyed a beautiful walk last night.

After the bad roads and multiple accidents near and around the City of Edmonton; I did not think that we would be walking.

But the temperature warmed up throughout the day and was pretty much all melted by the time that I got home from work.

We saw a muskrat in the pond by our home.

Swimming away.

We saw a goose wandering about.

A duck enjoying a swim.

One singles were out and about, I guess.

We also bumped into a young couple out walking their pup whom we have met before and pup is almost 17 years old.

Still lots of energy and grit.

We met a young pup named Miso (after the soup).

Miso was so full of energy …. at first Mr. Alvin played and sniffed to get to know the young one.

After a few minutes he was “done” or so I thought and then they were playing again.

I enjoyed this encounter.

Always nice to meet new people and pups.

Well almost time to head out of the door.

My ride came early yesterday with the roads so am thinking the same today.

I hope that you all have a wonderful day.

Happy Thursday.

Remember “gratitude” is the answer.

Yes, it is.

Special Hello to:  all our family ….. near and far ……. we love you all.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day…..

Last night or much earlier this morning I was awaken by a monstrous round of thunder and then a torrential downpour.  My first thought was: did I put down the eavestrough at the side of the house?  But it was late and the rain was coming down so hard that I decided to stay in my nice comfy bed and see about it when I got up.  So guess what, the first thing that I did when I got out of bed was: go outside and check it out.  Luckily it was down.  The skies are overcast at this moment with a bit of sunshine peeping through in the distance.  Isn’t Mother Nature amazing?  I often think to myself …. how can this all be so perfect?  Life is utterly amazing from a bee buzzing about the flower bed to a big goose flying so gracefully in the sky.  So much and so cool.

Remember each day to take a look at nature and be grateful for this amazing-ness (I know it is not really a work but please indulge me, LOL).  We are so blessed for everything that walks, crawls and flies and just is on this beautiful planet we call Earth and our home.  Yes, remember to take a look around …… aw  …..

Have a blessed day.

Always, Carol

Moments to Mention So Cute !!

This morning Alvin and I were out for our daily morning walk.  We were about three quarters of the way around the lake in our neighbourhood when I saw three Momma Geese and a whole bunch of goslings.  I tried to count them as they waddled quickly into the water.  There seemed to be about thirty of them.  So cute and fuzzy.  Across the lake was another Momma and her brood of four.   Two were hers and two she watches.  So I yelled across the lake so that the kids would have the opportunity to see all those babies.  In all of my years I have never seen so many baby goslings at any one time.  Then just when my heart was in total awe and amazement (and Alvin’s, too), I saw in the water another Momma Goose and her babies.  This was one of those mornings when you would just love to plop yourself down on the grass and just watch all this new life.  Also I WISHED that I would have had my camera with me.  Back to the other Momma,  well we have met several times before on our ritual walks.  She tries to get them out each day depending on the weather.

This was a glorious morning and I am so grateful that we happened to be in the right place at the most perfect moment.

Nature is so wondrous.

Have a great day, everyone !!!
