Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 11th day of February 2019.

Well back to work.

Have to leave Mr. Alvin alone now after four days at home with him.

I always love our time together.

The weather remains cold but now it is snowing.

I would like to make a correction to the name of one of the movies that I noted on my post yesterday.

It was The Incredibles 2 not The Invincibles 2.

When I realized that I had posted the wrong name, I felt very silly.

Not the end of the world, of course.

But still felt silly.

Correction done.

How are you doing today?

Feeling great and full of energy.

Ready to take on your world.

Ready to be the best YOU ever!

I hope that you have the most awesome Monday in recorded history.

Did you watch the Grammys last night?

I think that Alicia Keys did great.

Man, can she play the piano and sing!

Love, loved, loved Dolly Parton.

Great singer and song writer.

Probably one of the best song writers ever.

She has written so many of the greatest songs recorded.

Diana Ross, 75, are you kidding me?

She looks incredible …. and that dress.

Love her music.

MOTOWN, some of the best music ever.

I really enjoyed Lady Gaga singing Shallow from A Star is Born.

Can you imagine if Bradley Cooper was singing with her?

Off the charts, for sure.

I only watch until I heard all of the above so that was just after 8:30 p.m., I think.

Well “here we go again.”

I have had that song in my head and singing all morning.

Not sure if Alvin really appreciates my gift??? or not???

Wishing you a fantastic Monday filled with kindness, respect and always laughter.

We have to have laughter.

Always, a giggle or three.

Special Hello to: My Daughter, My Sister and My Dear Friend – thank you ladies, you rock.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 10th day of February, 2019.

Another beautiful sunrise.

Clear blue sky.

The smoke is being blasted up through the chimneys as it floats up into the sky.

Another COLD morning, another COLD day.

Another day with no walking for Mr. Alvin.

Sure am looking forward to our first walk once the temperatures warm up.

I am pretty certain that he has CABIN FEVER.

Every once in a bit he grabs a toy and shakes it.

Then he is done.

I am happy to report that he is healing good.

I am certainly not a doctor but there is no swelling from the area where the cyst was removed.

YAY.

Tomorrow morning is going to be another storey as I have been leaving that dreaded cone off as I am supervising him.

He stood in a statue like position yesterday after I placed the cone over his head.

Followed by shaking and then crying.

I could not take it and removed it.

Will try again today.

Hopefully he will be better.

Last night Humphrey spent the evening with us.

He was quiet for the most part spending most of his time upstairs.

A couple of times it appeared like they wanted to play with each other but just could not figure out the logistics.

I watch the Invincibles 2 and BOOK CLUB.

First one I had not seen and was really good, who doesn’t love a good animated movie on a Saturday night and then BOOK CLUB, I just loved the movie.

There are not many movies out there with the majority of the cast over the age of 65.

So funny and well done.

That was our Saturday night.

Now it is Sunday and time to finish off my secret project (which I will explain later), go and check out Humphrey … feed him and fresh water and clean the litter box.

Home to put away laundry that has been drying

in the basement for a couple of days, lunch for tomorrow, clothes ready and whatever else needs to be done on a Sunday.

Likely better eat breakfast and have COFFEE at some point.

Have an awesome Sunday.

Keep warm.

Grammys on tonight with Alicia Keys, hosting.

Special Hello to:  my friends and family …. be safe and keep warm.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 13th day of February, 2017.

First thing when I started to write this blog – received a message that the keyboard batteries were low.

Closed the message and made myself a note to change the batteries tonight.

But alas kept getting the message.

Checked the time and decided to go downstairs and grab some batteries and do it now.

Better always to do things right away rather than putting them off.

Worked out.

Now I do not have to do that tonight.

Bonus.

Yesterday we had the best day.

I did most of my major TO DO items.

Had a great Birthday party for our friend “S.”

Followed by a walk with Alvin.

Followed by tea tasting with my neighbour and fellow consultant “K.”

After all I was going to go out and canvas for the Heart & Stroke but decided to do that another day.

Followed by Alvin and I snuggling.

We had supper early as at 6:00 p.m. I SKYPED with my sister back in Regina.

She told me of even more fellow co-workers that are retiring.

We both worked at the same office.

She remains there and of course, I retired from there in 2008.

After we had a great video chat -I watched the rest of the GRAMMY’s.

Almost forgot that they were on last night.

Great to see ADELE win an award for BEST SONG.

Busy weekend but fun.

Lots of visiting, sharing information and laughing.

My favourite part ….. laughing.

Laughter makes you feel good right to the core of your very being.

I think that we do not laugh enough.

I am always trying to make people laugh …..

Maybe that should be our mission if you will, to share laughter.

Make your friends and family giggle and laugh.

Nothing better.

Well that time once again.

Was it really Sunday yesterday?

At one point I thought it was Saturday and then something brought me back to reality very quickly.

Oh well.

I am grateful to have two days off in a row and the same days that most of my friends and family have off, as well.

Happy Monday.

Have an awesome day.

Special Hello to:  my sister ….. wow Peru in April ….. wishing that I could go with you guys. But seriously considering Victoria in the fall with my sister.

Always, Carol and Alvin
