Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 16th day of December, 2018.

Well I would like to say that yesterday was super productive but I cannot.

Well I could say that yesterday instead that yesterday was a mix of rest and work.

I have a few things left that I wanted to get done this weekend.

This year I gave baking to “31” people.

Ranging from small cookies bags to large tins and containers.

I have a few left to hand out but they are all done and I had enough baking for them all.

 

I have Christmas wrapping to do but I will do that one night this week.

Finishing up some laundry today.

The coffee is now brewing.

Bathrooms and vacuuming to do.

The big stuff.

But I am feeling better today.

Yesterday I was just tired due in part to the tooth extraction.

One is supposed to relax and not be doing heavy work ( I guess vacuuming would fall into that category).

Oh well I can get it all done in a short amount of time.

Work has been ultra draining as of late, as well.

I will go after work on Friday and pick up the food for the Christmas party that I am hosting on Saturday next and for Christmas.

Then Saturday will just put the finishing touches on the party.

One quick “sweep” and putting the food and beverages in order.

I got this.

Oh and yes, I finally put the menu together for the Christmas party.

YAY.

Only took a couple of months.

Simple, someone said.

 

Mini Quiches

Caramelized Onion Cheese Dip (hot) – served with baguette

Pita Chips and Crackers

Red Chilli Jelly

Boursin Cheese – Cranberry with Cracked Black Pepper

Veggie tray ( carrots, grape tomatoes, cucumber and peppers) with dip

Sausage, cheese, pickles and crackers – one of the girls is bringing

Assorted Christmas cookies baked with love by Me.

 

Well I should get going.

Get dressed.

The last load of laundry is washing.

Coffee is perking.

Blog almost done.

Then breakfast and then vacuuming and bathrooms.

Afterwards time for a shower as I am going with my kids to see the Christmas Light Show at the Zoo.

Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 14th day of January, 2018.

No snow coming down this morning.

Temperatures warmer.

Life is good.

Yesterday was an odd but good day.

Started out after the usual routine plus coffee by going to our Vet to pick up food for Alvin.

Enjoying the walk in the much warmer weather.

The plan was to go for groceries but that got suspended as we got a FB message asking if “Teddy” could come and stay with us for a few hours.

Teddy is in the photo below with Mr. Alvin.

Teddy is in the forefront of the photo.

They are the same colour – only noticeable different Alvin is bigger (and older but don’t tell him).

I posted this photo on FB, that is why the fancy lights.

Teddy loves coming to our house as much as we love having him.

He warms my heart and makes me happy.

It was a good change from the original plan.

I did manage to have laundry done before he arrived and some house work completed.

When Teddy comes to stay with us – I like it to be all about the pups.

When he first arrives he runs back and forth and up to me and away from me.

He is so excited.

His Mom says that she cannot tell him too much in advance of coming to our house, as he gets so excited.

I do not think any “guy” other than Alvin and perhaps not even him as ever been that excited to see me.

SO CUTE.

We played, they went into the backyard, we snuggled and played.

It sometimes takes Alvin a little while to get into the play mode but Teddy is so energetic that you cannot help but want to play.

Of course, wherever Alvin goes Teddy goes.

So cute.

When suppertime came, I gave Alvin his food and placed Teddy’s food away from Alvin’s.

Alvin can be greedy.

I was watching and thought careful but Alvin put his head between my feet as I was standing beside Teddy and his food.

Little bugger (Alvin that is), he managed to eat a couple of big mouthfuls before I could stop him.

I had to laugh but was a bit mad.

That was Saturday.

Sunday …. now have to go and get groceries.

I had to improvise supper.

Made a salmon pancake of sorts with slices of avocado on top and halved grape tomatoes beside, and the rest of the kale salad

Looked real colourful.

Well time to get this show on the road.

Things to do and get ready for work tomorrow.

My daughter may be coming for a visit.

I need COFFEE.
