Thought for they day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 15th day of July, 2018.

What a gorgeous Sunday morning.

The sky was clear blue until just a moment ago and now there are clouds rolling in.

Just over to check in on my charges:  Humphrey the Cat and Cinder the Gecko.

They are doing well.

On my way into my house I stopped to pull a few of those little weeds that spring up overnight.

The ones that after a rain …. come up just because they can.

Are they not amazing when you come to think about it.

There can be no sign of growth and then voile they are one inch high.

Too bad plants that we can eat do not grow that quickly.

Or perhaps they do and it just does not seem that way.

Alvin and I had a great weekend.

Cleaning the house.

Mowing the back grass patch, tidying up.

Pulling weeds.

Yup those fast growing weeds.

Laundry, as somehow there always seems to be something in the laundry basket.

Washing floors as they do get dirty.

Bathrooms …. yup, them, too.

Made a big supper so that when my daughter comes today, I do not have to cook.

Besides the temperature is to be more warm than yesterday.

Right now the house is comfortably cool.

We both slept well last night.

 

This morning my girls have invited me for an early birthday celebration.

They were checking their calendars and the next weeks where they were both free was in September.

YIKES, I am busy not now quite that busy.

So just on my way to having a shower and get ready to go for an early birthday celebration.

Then my daughter and pups will be arriving for a visit.

Spend the afternoon and have supper.

 

What a great weekend.

Lots of work done followed by lots of play.

Does not get better than that.

Hopefully we will have some more sunshine today.

COUNTDOWN: 60 Days to 60

Today is Wednesday, July 19, 2017 and it is the 22nd day until my 60th Birthday.

All I can say is that I think I am temporarily done with make lists for now.

My head hurts.

 

At this moment I am so grateful to be alive and have my life.

I am so grateful that I am turning 60.

I am so grateful that I am in great health, have wonderful, amazing family and friends, and that I am living my life the best way that I can.

Each moment to the fullest and learning along the way.

Creating memories.

Dancing to the beat of my own drum.

There may be a couple of small things that I would change or rather am working on …. such as the little non-rubber tire that has decided to place itself about my middle …. or perhaps

the lack of 000000’s behind the numbers in my bank account.

BUT You can have a great job, all the money in the world, lavish house and belongs, fancy cars and go on tours of the world but if you are not “living your best life” ….. well does it really matter?

It matters to me.

No matter what happens in any moment I learn and try to make the next ones better.

 

For Wednesday, the day of the week that my darling daughter was born.

The day that I chose.

It will always have a special place in my heart.

Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 6th day of January, 2014.

WOW ….

Today is supposed to warm up and we are happy for that news.

This morning I have been thinking of Birthdays.

Today is my one of my dear friend’s birthdays …. Happy Birthday “L.”

I turn 57 this summer which is crazy.

My daughter turns 34 in a couple of months and my son-in-law turns 40 in the fall.

My youngest brother turns 49 this month.

So many birthdays.

My sister’s birthday is in there ….

Brother “J” turns another year old in August.

In between there are nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and more.

I am always happy to be another year older ….. it means that I am still alive.

What a good thing that is for us all …. I mean to have another birthday.

So on this day my thoughts are to birthdays.

I hope that you have a great one if today is your birthday.

May this Monday be filled with good cheer, love and laughter and abundance and GREAT HEALTH.

Thought for the day…..

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday, January 2nd, 2013 …..

Well, I did it ….. the tree came down and most of the indoor decorations.

Outside still up and also the ornaments that line the top of my kitchen cabinets and a few other things.

The majority is done and the house looks bare.

Isn’t it funny that once all of our Christmas treasures come down that the house looks bare …. actually more of a feeling.

I guess it is just saying good-bye to yet another Christmas.

It was great and I am grateful that I was in great health and surrounded by my family and friends.

 

I am taking one of writing notebooks to work with me today and will spend my breaks writing.

I have lots of ideas and I figure that I should use each opportunity to get my thoughts down on paper.

No lost opportunities this year.

I will carry my notebook with me wherever I go so that I am always prepared.

 

So as we begin another New Year …. how are you feeling?

Are you excited for what is to come?  I am.

I just as previous years want to live my very best life.

I am going to add something and that is taking each opportunity as it comes my way.

Part of that is recognizing them, as well.

 

So on this mid week day let us enjoy what we have and promise to work towards our goals and dreams.
