Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 1st day of November, 2018.

Well HALLOWEEN DAY and EVENING was gorgeous.

Perfect evening for the little ones and the bigger ones to be out and about.

We did wake up to wet ground so rained overnight.

Thank you Mother Nature for holding off so that all the babies, me and Alvin could enjoy Halloween.

We had ….. 102 …… treaters of all ages.

Such great costumes.

Here are a few costumes including mine.

Some from work and some from home.

Staff at the office certainly out did themselves this year.

Every year they get better and better.

I even made some money yesterday giving out thoughts and advice.

How about that.

Best group at work was the Strawberry Shortcake gang.

Homemade cupcake by my friend who bakes my birthday cakes.  It was heavenly

How about that chicken?

Such great costumes.

So much fun.

We even took the time to go for a walk after work.

The bus got me home just after 5:15 p.m. last night.

At 5:30 p.m. we were leaving home and there were treaters out and about.

I figured that Alvin needed a walk as did I.

It was early yet.

When we got to Teddy’s house – Alvin beelined for the front steps and there was not reigning him back.

So we rang the door and I only meant to say hi and seconds later my friend handed me supper in a container (which was still hot).

So sweet.

Then all I had to do was open the container and dig in.

It was amazing.

Roast beef and gravy, potatoes, carrots and more.

So so good.

I am so blessed to have such thoughtful friends.

Poor Alvin did not wish to eat his supper when he caught a whiff of mine.

Oh well it all worked out.

Alvin loved the kiddies as much as they did him.

He received lots of cuddles and hugs.

Lots of compliments … he did.

More thing more and I have to go.

A few years back we rescued a puppy that had got away from his home.

We found his home.

Since that time his Dad and two human brothers drop by on Halloween to say “thank you” and he always says …. “do you remember me?”

I say now “yes, I do.”

So sweet.

They live several blocks away.

Have a great first day of November.

Special Hello to: all those folks who were out and about last night ….

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 30th day of October, 2017.

One more day till Halloween and second last day of October, 2017.

The time surely does fly by.

We had a great weekend.

Pup sat with Teddy …. such a cute little guy.

Alvin and I had some walks and lots of snuggles and cuddles.

I had coffee yesterday with my two of my girl friends.

We always have fun.

We even got to pick out Halloween Costumes as the hostess has a big container full.

I had not decided what to be beforehand so it was perfect timing.

I am going to be a HIPPIE complete with the stove pipe pants or bell bottoms.

I made a big pot of tomato sauce with the garden tomatoes from my friend “P’s” garden.

So good.

Finished my gifts for my friend “V” and got them packaged so that they can be mailed this week.

One down ….. few to go.  YAY, me.

I even had some to freeze after making a pot of pasta for supper and for leftovers.

So grateful to have a freezer full of tomatoes.

Well almost time to fly here.

Better get going.

I hope that you all had a great weekend.

Happy Monday …..

Take some time for yourself.

Do not allow yourself to be second ….. it is just like being on a plane and the oxygen masks come down ….. if you do not look after YOU first ….. how can you possibly help anyone else.

Special Hello to:  my sister ….. hopefully later this week, we can SKYPE.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 8th day of May, 2016.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY.

I want to wish every Mother out there – a very Happy & Special Mother’s Day.

To all the children out there – make sure that you tell your Mothers that you LOVE THEM.

Treat them with the love and respect  that they so richly deserve.

Remember they changed your diapers, read you books, made your Halloween costumes, put band-aids on your “boo boos”, made cupcakes or cookies for the school bake sale,  and were always there when you needed guidance and support.

Take your Mother in your arms and give them the biggest hug that you can.

Moms, you deserve nothing but the absolute BEST.

This morning I asked Alvin the following questions and I will give you his response each time:

“Alvin, did you buy Momma a card for Mother’s Day?”

“He looked at me and wagged his tail.”

“Alvin, did you buy Momma flowers for Mother’s Day?”

“He looked at me and wagged his tail.”

“Alvin, did you get me a gift card for Mother’s Day?”

“He looked at me and wagged his tail.”

Me Alvin loves me and that is all that matters.

What a good boy.

I hope that you are happy, safe and secure this Mother’s Day surrounded by your loved ones.
