Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 23rd day of April, 2018.

The sun is rising and the sky is that beautiful blue, no rain clouds.

It appears so quiet when looking out of the office window.

I did not realize that it was EARTH DAY yesterday until into the afternoon.

Looking out the front window; I saw someone across the street walking their dog and carrying a large black garbage bag.

Picking up garbage as they  went along.

Usually that person is me.

My plan is to go out next weekend.

Two people cleaning certainly cannot hurt, that is for sure.

So grateful for that person.

Alvin had his regular hair cut and bath.

He looks so handsome.

Only wished that he would stay still for his front paws.

Perhaps next time he will have anxiety.

Poor little guy.

He did well.

 

Speaking of Earth Day, everyday should be EARTH DAY.

We can all make everyday EARTH DAY.

Pick up trash.

Recycle and Reuse.

The wind blew a plastic container in front of my neighbour’s house.

It has been there all weekend.

I guess no one is going to pick it up.

I will before my carpool arrives.

 

Well time to go and put the finishing touches on.

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 20th day of August, 2015.

Wow, the 20th day of August ….. what a month it has been.

This morning the sky was overcast with big dark blue “rain clouds” but now as the sun comes up they appear to have tints of pink mixed in with the blue, so very pretty.

I am always in awe of the sky.

It can change so quickly and seem to be so many different colours and hold so many different shapes of clouds.

I truly am in awe.

I love the morning sky.

I love the night sky.

The daytime sky I do not see too much of …. but I think I love it, too.

I can see the trees swaying in the wind ….. so it is a bit breezy.

Oh those late summer days ….. I can hear the song from Grease in my head.

On of my all time favourite movies.

John Travolta …. mmmm dreamy

Olivia Newton-John ….. mmm pretty

That seemed like a trillion years ago.

Well on this fantastic Thursday, I am reminded by a dream that kindness and respectfulness are some of the best characteristics one could envelope.

Don’t you just love those words with two or three meanings.

Gotta love the English language.

Gotta ….. whoops another slang word.

On this Thursday “Gotta” with a capital G sounds better than “got to” ……

Well it is almost time to hop on downstairs and grab my lunch and stuff and head out for the bus.

I hope that you have a crazy great Thursday.

Remember to be kind and respectful and even more importantly do this with love in your heart.

Thought for the day…..

Welcome to Thursday, February 9th, 2012.

Wow, how did that happen?

Today marks a special birthday for my nephew Troy …. he is “35.”

OMG, I so remember when he was born.

In some ways it seems like only yesterday, and then in others …. definitely the 35 years.

He has grown from the cutest blonde haired little boy with the strawberry coloured lips (naturally) to a handsome wonderful man.

He was always busy as a child and kept everyone hopping most especially his Mom.

Troy was the first born grandchild in our immediate family.

One time as I was using the calculator … he asked me if he could use the calculator and I asked him “what for” and he replied “to do some calculating” ….. he was only three years old (this was back in 1980).

My daughter Amanda (second grandchild) was born in March of 1980.  He was both her protector and play-mate.

There was one time when I was changing her diaper when she was only a few months old that he asked “how come Manda has a —— and I have a —–  (perhaps it is too early in the morning to be naming body parts) ….. you get the idea. LOL

Also perhaps I am a bit old-fashioned and to write those words on a public forum ….. well, better not.

Anyway, it is almost time for me to put the finishing touches on getting ready for work.

Just wanted to share this special day with you.

I know that some family members will read this blog today and will smile as they remember something from way back when …
