Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 1st day of July, 2018.

In CANADA, we are celebrating “CANADA DAY.”

Today we celebrate our “ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY-FIRST BIRTHDAY.”

In Edmonton, in our neighbourhood there is quite the breeze and a somewhat sunny sky.

Clouds roll in and roll out.

A beautiful day to celebrate CANADA.

To all my fellow Canadians, Happy Canada Day.

A day to celebrate the peace that we are honoured to live within our borders.

A day to celebrate the grand beauty of this amazing country.

A day to celebrate each other.

Happy Canada Day.

Yesterday was day two of Teddy’s sleepover.

Here are some photos of the boys.

I think you can see what is happening here.

Boys each with a chew treat.

Alvin with two chew treats.

Alvin making certain no one has his second chew treat.

I made certain that both boys had treats.

So cute.

Someone may notice that the sofa in the bottom three frames/photos is near the window.

Yes, it is ….. I decided to change the furniture around in the early afternoon.

I like to change things up from time to time.

Teddy left for home about 4:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon.

It is late already this morning.

Neither of us have had breakfast which is strange but we will take a walk shortly.

Happy Canada Day Everyone.

Enjoy the day with your family and friends.

CELEBRATE what we have and who we are …

Special Hello to: my fellow CANADIANS.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Saturday. July 1st, 2017.

The sky is overcast on this 150th Birthday of this country known as Canada.

As with most countries on the planet our history has not been without bloodshed.

Our history has had the ENGLISH, FRENCH and SPANISH  coming over from across the ocean, and then laying claim to North America.

The U.S.A. and Canada share that part of history.

Over the past few hundred years people have left the United States and come to Canada.

People have also left Canada and moved to the United States.

There is so much we do not know and will never know.

It would be great on this 150th Birthday of CANADA that we could find a way to live together without debate or causing harm to one another.

We do live in relative peace, and I am so grateful that we do.

We need to find a way to move forward.

More and more people are leaving their homes all over the world for a multitude of reasons and coming to Canada.

It is so important that we find a way to live together in peace and harmony.

So on this 150th year …. this day that we celebrate Canada let us find a way to do the best for one another.

We all need to move on and make sure that all CANADIANS old and new are living good productive healthy lives.

We are all in this together.

We can do this …. we can.

Traditions over the last 150 years shows the peoples of this VAST country to be kind, generous, compassionate, and easy-going.

Please let us continue on this path and beyond.

Happy CANADA Day.

Special Hello: to my family and friends all over CANADA and the World.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and welcome to Friday the 4th day of July, 2014.

Happy 4th of July to all our American (United States) friends and neighbours to the south.

I wish you all a happy, safe celebration.

To all those folks south of us who are in the midst of fires and floods and other storms, our hearts go out to you.

This morning here in Edmonton the sun is shining.

I hope that our neighbours to the east in Saskatchewan and Manitoba also have sunshine so that it can start the drying out process.

Keep safe and dry.

Always in the midst of tragedy there is cause to celebrate.

In Canada just a few days ago we celebrated the birthday of our great country.

Now the United States celebrates their birthday.

We are grateful to live on this North American continent in each of these great countries.

We hope that you all have a great Friday wherever you live.

Take care and peace be with you all.

Special Hello to: our friends in the United States ……

Always, Carol and Alvin
