Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday the 12th day of May, 2015.

Sun coming up …..

Great start to this wonderful Tuesday morning.

Last night I raked the front lawn and gathered up the hundreds of cork size bits of soil from the aeration.

I thought it would never end.

There literally were hundreds of them.

Also just saying ….. THEY WERE HEAVY when placed in the recycling bag.

Followed by a good watering.

The ground is so dry that watering is likely in the future if we want green grass unless Mother Nature decides to help us out.

Mr. Alvin was out with me for a bit until he was so excited by something that I could not see that I let him back into the house.

It was so relaxing and so much fun being outside doing this small amount of yard work.

No matter what our days are filled with …. work …. school whatever …. we have our homes.

Most of us are so blessed to have our own homes.

I know that I cannot speak for everyone.

If you are blessed enough to have your own yard or even a balcony or patio space ….. go OUTSIDE.

Use it.

Plant some flowers ….. maybe some herbs or veggies …. put a chair out there.

It is so great to be outside ….. most of us do not fully utilize our green space.

Even if you do not have your own ….. there are parks usually not far away …..

Have fun, enjoy.

We also enjoyed a beautiful walk last night.

Well time to finish getting ready to go to the office.

Thought for the day….

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 2nd day of March, 2014.

Wow March already ….. perhaps with it coming in like a lion it will go out like a lamb.

Like the old saying.

Sure hope so.

With it being March the sun is coming up earlier and sunset is later, which is always great.

Soon we will hear the songs of Robins and others as they come back to nest.

Soon the snow will be melted and the grass will start to poke it’s tops up showing us that glorious green.

The trees will be in bud and then voila overnight (or so it always seems to be as of late) leaves appear.

People will be out and about walking.

Children riding bikes.

Me and Alvin will definitely be out and about.

Bless their hearts when I see owners of some of the big dogs in our neighbourhood out walking in this brutally cold weather.

Giving them the exercise they need and so deserve (and fresh air).

Spring ….. oh spring…..

I have mentioned this before in previous blogs but it is worthy of another mention …… “CROCUSES” ……

When I was a child in the spring there would be fields full of them (or so it seems from my memory banks).

They were a purple and kind of furry …. which I always thought was funny.

Oh, spring ….. I can start to plant some flowers ….. YAY.

I was thinking of planting some herbs this year ….. fresh parsley and chives …. oh, how lovely.

I hope that you enjoyed your weekend and were able to stay indoors and have fun with your family.

If you had to venture out, I hope that you stayed warm and safe.

Time to get ready for work ….. yes, I have to go out.

But I am lucky as I will get a ride to work, and then catch the bus home from the mall (shelters there).

Oh, the OSCARS tonight …… I only have seen one of the Best Picture Movies ….. “GRAVITY” ….. so I shall vote for it and for Sandra Bullock, who was amazing.
