The Next Chapter

Good Morning! What a glorious Wednesday morning it is here in Edmonton, certainly at my house. My daughter is coming after work and we will have a quick supper together before heading out to Creekside Nursery for our annual flower/plant shop and view. There is nothing better than spending time with your child amongst flowers. The chitter chatter and the colours. Pointing out new plants? Did I grow that one before? Does not look familiar! Oh, look at the blooms on that one! The colours in here are amazing! So much fun and truly one of my most favourite ways to spend time. The air is slightly smoky this morning so hopefully the air quality is good today otherwise we may find the nursery closed. I know that they were closing when it was bad but it has not been that way for awhile in the city so that is good. The nursery is on the edge of the city or actually just outside the city. The area is beautiful filled with trees and farmland. Ever so slowly and sometimes it feels like more quickly we are consuming more of the farmland as the city grows and speeds out. The new communities that are springing up south of my neighbourhood is, well there are no words. Too much. I wish that it would slow down. Taking away farmland and the areas for our wildlife is not a great future. I know that in order to sustain the country we need to have more “working” people especially as the population is quickly aging and retiring but we are encroaching on the homes of the wildlife, and that is why we have coyotes, moose and deer and others walking down our streets and coming into the yards of the citizens in the cities and towns. Long sentence but it needed to be said.

I hope for the extinguishment of the wildfires across Canada as the total exceeds the amount recorded for this time of year. Most of these fires are started by “people.” No surprise there. Did I tell you my story? On Sunday morning, I think it was. This big truck pulled up in front of my house and a young man got out and walked toward one of the neighbours. He came back with friends and they piled into the truck. Before he got into the truck he lit a cigarette and I guess no one wanted him to smoke in the truck because he got out and started to quickly inhale and smoke said cigarette before butting it out on the street. I went outside pretending to be looking after my plants and said “Hi, and very politely asked the young man if he would please pick up the cigarette butt and put it in an ashtray or something but off the street.” I think that he was so stunned that he complied. I said thank you and he got into the truck and drove away. I did mention too that we do not want dogs or birds to eat the butt as it can make them sick. Not entirely true but not good for them can do other harm. But anyway, point being that I took a stand and he picked it up. Perhaps next time he will think twice. I was nice. Really, I was. One less cigarette butt on the street or down the storm drain.

Well I need to hop downstairs and get the coffee on. The next three days will find me catching the city public transit to and from work as my carpool and fellow coworker took a few days off from work. I want to drink some coffee before leaving and have breakfast. I watered the lawn, newly seeded part of lawn and my flowers last night. Just misted the flowers as I had watered them in the morning. No over watering but they needed some moisture. Dry out fast in the sunlight.

I enjoyed another awesome walk with Jeanette and Eddie last night. We made some new friends along the way. Perfect evening for walking. Tonight at the same time will be considerably warmer. I won’t be walking tonight except for around the nursery.

Happy Wednesday. Have an awesome day.

Always, Carol & my Forever Angel Mr. Alvin ……. love you buddy and miss you so much.

The Next Chapter

Good Morning! How are you this morning? Can you believe that it is Thursday? Time is certainly flying. The sky is blue and the sun is shining brightly in the morning sky. Sunrise and sunset are happening earlier and later with each passing day. There does not appear to be wind this morning so that is good. There are still signs of the hail from Tuesday night.

Yesterday morning at work the six of us from our site office went out and inspected two more of our sites. Some picked up trash and others did a visual inspection of yards and other things. It sure got hot early and I had worn warm pants and layers so I was able to take off my jacket but still was very warm. We were back to the office by noon.

I almost missed having a walk with Jeanette, Eddie and Bruno as I was eating and they needed to go earlier. They went ahead and Alejandro (her husband) was with them when I met up with them in the park. There was a love fest happening with three pups when I arrived. Eddie, Bruno and another yellow lab. I found out shortly after arriving that it was Miss Sadie (whom I know) but she was with her Dad and I am used to seeing her with her Mom or the kids. Anyway it was great to see her. After a bit more playing we carried on with our walk. Jeanette was leaving at midnight for Miami, Florida to see her parents who were visiting her brothers. Her parents were coming from South America. I am happy that she was able to go and spend some time with them. She will be home in a week. Meanwhile Alejandro will be walking with Eddie & Bruno. I am going to tag along whenever I am able. I love those dogs, they bring me joy. They are a good reminder of walks with Mr. Alvin.

The first two photos are from our walk last night and the third is a photo that Jeanette sent to me. They are so handsome, these boys.

Looks like we are fast approaching Mother’s Day weekend. Do you have plans with your Mother? Are you a Mother? My daughter and son-in-law and grand-pups Miss Aspen and Mi-Mi will be coming over on Saturday. We will order in supper as a treat. I cannot wait to see them.

Well after having a shower and putting on some makeup, it would seem that I am running a bit late. Not really late that I have to rush but I am so used to take a slow approach to my mornings at home, that it feels like I am rushing. Not really. Okay, now I am rambling. LOL.

One more week with the temporary crowns and then next Thursday, I will be getting the new crowns. Looking forward to having them but not really to the extractions and fillings. More freezing. Oh well, soon will be caught up in all of the dental stuff.

Have a great Thursday. Sending positive energy and rain to extinguish the flames of the wildfires.

The Next Chapter

Good Morning. A beautiful Thursday, May 4th, 2023. May the 4th be with you! There is my STAR WARS reference. Another hot day for most of Alberta. So hot and dry. I am praying for rain, just rain no fanfare from Mother Nature, like lightning. Just enough rain to extinguish the wildfires and to give the desperately dry ground some moisture. Fingers crossed.

Today is my third dental appointment. I will go to work and then catch the bus to the appointment and then back to the office when I am finished. Hopefully all goes well today. Should be easy peasy as they are just making the mould/the form/the impression whatever it is called for the crowns.

I have been so enjoying having the grand pups here when I arrive home from work. They are coming today and I believe tomorrow as well. Earlier I went downstairs to open the windows and turn on the fan so that the main floor is as cool as I can make it. I will be closing the blinds as well. They will only be alone for about 4.5 hours so not too bad. They will be okay. I am so happy that I am able to help them out.

The sun is shining now. A few minutes ago it must have been behind a cloud. The sky looks so pretty. I was looking at it through my bedroom window just before I got up and the colours were picture perfect. Mother Nature sure can put on a show. Utter perfection.

I hope that the wildfires can be contained/extinguished and the loss of all life is minimal. I wished that it would be none but how can a fire not take away life of some kind. Insects, birds, small animals and domestic animals.

I just received a text from my daughter, the strike is over. They settled. My son-in-law will not have to walk the picket line. So happy for him and for his coworkers. I won’t be seeing my pups today. I am happy that they are home and won’t have to travel back and forth, especially in this heat.

Well it is almost time to head back downstairs and put on the coffee and have a bite to eat. Great news to start the day with and I am over the moon for them.

Happy Thursday. Have a wonderful day everyone!

The Next Chapter

Good Morning. Welcome to Wednesday. Well what a week I have had already! Been interesting. I have the windows open all over the house to bring in the cool morning air. Today is to be +28 degrees celsius. The grand pups will be coming over this morning in about 1/2 hour so I want the house to be as cool as it can be for them. Then before I leave for work, I will close the windows and blinds except for Aspen’s living room ones, her happy place to ensure the coolness lasts as long as possible. Pretty warm for the beginning of May.

Yesterday, I ended up spending over 5 hours at the dentist for two appointments (yes, same day). I had my teeth ex-rayed, a checkup and cleaning. Followed by a root canal plus. The dentist had started the impressions or whatever they are called for the two crowns that I will be getting in about two weeks. He ran out of the material that they use so I have to go back tomorrow to complete the process so that they can have the crowns made. I must have seen for one thing or the other all of the staff. The dental assistant that was assisting the dentist on the root canal must have been new. I have never in all my years of dental visits gagged during procedures. When she was preparing me for the root canal and after the freezing just went in, she was trying to take the impressions and kept getting it wrong. So in and out with things in a short amount of time and my gag reflex was working in override. Anyway, she was nice and I knew that she was new as the dental gently corrected her on how to hand him tools and such. So quite the experience. Anyway, I love my dentist even though he did give me heck in a nice way for not coming in for a long time for check up and cleaning and stuff. It is true. Your teeth are important. I missed out on using a lot of coverage. Anyway, the Pandemic, Alvin had two surgeries, Alvin was sick and then passed and work has been over the top. Sometimes life gets in the way and what are you supposed to do. One thing I was happy to see that Wanda was still operating the front desk. She is so nice. All in all, a good experience. Will be nice to get the crowns on. For the next couple of weeks or so only soft, easy foods and have to be careful as I have a temporary crown in my mouth. Sure looks a lot better than the gaping hole (there was enough of a tooth left to salvage and I am grateful for that).

Back to work this morning. I have to fly as I have to eat and prepare for the grand pups. I was happy to have had time here with them yesterday. I worked from home for two hours before my first appointment. I was able to leave the living room window open while I was at home. My son-in-law was here when I arrived home from the first appointment. He had opened the window and Aspen was happily resting her head on the window sill taking in the fresh air and watching the bunnies. In fact, there were three bunnies playing on the front lawn and she got so excited she knocked the screen loose. So have to be careful with having the screen open. It was bunny city here yesterday. They were having fun for sure.

Have a great day.

P.S. The fees that were not covered by my insurance, the ones that I paid out of pocked. I put in a claim on my health spending account yesterday late in the afternoon and this morning it was deposited into my bank account. How wonderful is that? Very great.

Last Half 2022 – August

Good Morning ALL! How are you this morning. We are well. Up at 3:00 to go outside for a bathroom break – not me, you silly, Mr. Alvin. My funny for the moment. I could see the stars or at least a few along with some satellites. The air was cool which was refreshing. I was shocked to see the temperature on the main floor was “69” degrees fahrenheit. Upstairs not sure. We then hit the sofa for a few more hours and were up shortly after 6:00 (yes, I hit the snooze button, but only once). Then up and gave Mr. Alvin his breakfast. I am so happy that he loves his new wet food. He has always been a foodie and will pretty much eat anything you put in front of him so one has to be careful. At the end of the day, I am very grateful that he did not turn his nose up at the new food. Not sure what I would have done. Then the usual things readied the coffee pot, made our bed including putting the decorator pillows back on and our few special stuffies (previously were Amanda’s) and I had a shower. Now I don’t have a shower everyday. Really unless you have been outside rolling around in the dirt, or covered in bug spray or sweating from working outside then every second day or so, works fine. I usually use my hair as an indicator. Now I am here writing/typing/keying these words.

I can hear the loud hum of cars, trucks and other motor vehicles on the highway which surrounds the City of Edmonton. People going somewhere. The breeze wafting in through my open office window is delectable. Also I have learned over this heat wave and since the temperatures have dropped so much during the evening as of late, that if I leave the main floor windows open, the main floor cools off and then I leave all the windows upstairs open as well. We have not had rain in the forecast for a few days.

We are going to go for a walk this morning. Yesterday morning we were really late leaving the house but had time for a good walk, not the full one we have been doing but I figured if we are out and about breathing in that fresh morning air, then the length is immaterial. After all, it is Mr. Alvin sniffing every secret “fragrance” along the way that is truly what is important. As he ages, he has definitely slowed down and truly “smells the roses.” No longer does he rush ahead of me to see what is ahead, he stays close by and smells everything. He does love the rose bushes by the park. He makes me happy. What a guy!

We certainly can learn a thing or two from our four-legged buddies.

Well today after work someone is coming to pick up the scrapbooking and craft items that I sold to her. It is time to keep only what I am going to use and not everything that I am not. I am excited for someone to have them.

Over the summer, I have been selling and giving away items and even trading some items to just simplify my life. Less is more. Honestly western society, most especially North America has been smitten over the last many decades with materialism. The more stuff the better. Well it is that stuff that is clogging our lakes, rivers and filling the oceans. Time to stop. We do not need all these things. After all, you cannot take it with you. Food for thought.

I hope that you have an awesome day.

Time for a walk. Reflection and fresh air.

Continuing to live this life with kindness, respect, compassion, patience, love, laughter, understanding, gratitude, focus, possibilities and coffee.

Always, Carol & Alvin

PS: thank you for your time and I appreciate you reading these posts.

Last Half 2022 – August

Good Morning ALL! Well I, we are back from our holiday at my daughter and son-in-law’s beach home. We had a great time. I am still thinking about all the fun that we had, especially me. I am not sure if Alvin enjoyed the trip as much as me. Certainly he did not enjoy the car ride to the lake or home. We are in for another hot one today. Very uncharacteristic for August or at least the last few years. I do not know where to start about relaying this vacation. I guess we are caught up to everything that happened at home. My daughter picked up us in the afternoon on Wednesday. I sat in the backseat of their SUV with him hoping that he would settle down but he was panting the whole way. He settled down quite soon after we arrived at their home which was good news. So nice to be in the country. There were fires, smokies and marshmallows, meeting their neighbours, gifts, boat ride, good visits, cake and so much more. I have photos which only some of them downloaded so I will see if I can upload/download them.

Wednesday – when we arrived at the lake it was hot and humid. No surprise there. My son-in-law had to take Aspen to the vet in town about her rash. Poor girl. Seems like she has an allergy to something. So they are trying different foods and the vet is trying to figure out where the problem lies. I think it may be a different kind of grass. She loves to roll in the grass. While Steven and Aspen were gone, we settled in. Had coffee and chatted. My son-in-law fixed a fire once the sun had started to go down as their fire pit area faces west. I was happy to have a smokie followed by marshmallows. My daughter and I had some leftover Mexican fixings from my birthday supper the night before – I had prepared a cooler and packed up the leftovers. We did go for a walk in between. My kids gave me a beautiful card, a plant with white, purple and blue flowers (don’t remember the name off hand but they are individually flowers of each colour) and the most gorgeous king size coral bedspread and a black below the knees nightshirt. Love all of my gifts. I am so blessed to have such thoughtful family and friends.

Later that evening one of their neighbours was out and before you know we were invited over along with others. Nice to have met some of their neighbours. They have a big yard so the pups were allowed to investigate and Alvin was sure loving that. The neighbor’s yard that we were in – gave me a couple of jars of his pickles following a tour of his garden and greenhouse. Impressive. I cannot wait to try them.

We didn’t stay too late but the sun was starting to go down. I had wanted to do some star gazing but the sky was partially cloudy so that was out. It was not super late when we (me and Alvin) turned in. There is something about the fresh country air that just makes you sleepy and refreshed.

Thursday – we were up early as per usual and then went back to bed for a bit until the rest of the household got up. Another hot day. We had coffee and visited. Amanda and I went for a drive in town to get the mail and check out a new shop. I picked up a couple little things including some salt water taffy. There is no salt water out there but I guess it must be a “water” thing. I forgot earlier in the day we had gone for a walk before it got to hot. Thursday was a kick back quiet day which I love. The kids had to give Aspen a bath so that was done outside. She did well. Poor girl. We had another fire followed by cheesecake for dessert. No stars again. Oh, I know that they were out there but hiding behind the clouds. An early night for us.

Friday – We were up earlier than Thursday and went for a walk before the heat set in. My friends Pauline and Al were coming out to the lake with their boat to take me for a “birthday ride.” We try and do things as opposed to buying things that we really do not need. Looks like Mr. Alvin is getting hot upstairs here and as he won’t stay downstairs without me, I am going to continue this post tomorrow and hopefully with photos.

I hope that you are doing great. This has been the best birthday ever. Certainly need coffee. I am grateful to all the people who made me feel like the QUEEN OF THE WORLD. Thank you.

Continuing to live this life with kindness, respect, compassion, patience, love, laughter, understanding, gratitude, focus, possibilities and coffee.

Always, Carol & Alvin

PS: just has been the birthday that keeps on giving.

Last Half 2022 – July

Good Morning ALL! We had a good sleep last night. Up at 4:30 with a pee break for a little four legged someone. Followed by up at 6:00 for his breakfast and then up to stay up at 8:00. We were out of the house for a quick walk by 8:14 and much to my surprise we got three doors down and he stopped. He was walking very slowly as it was sniffing and such. I said do you want to go home and he turned around and headed back home. Now that was the quickest walk in history. I am very hot as I am writing this upstairs in my office with no fan as it is downstairs. After the “no go walk” we watered the flowers and then I have Mr. Alvin a haircut and bath followed by a shower for me.

I am afraid this will be very short but I wanted to share the results of Alvin’s bloodwork from yesterday’s appointment to the vet. We had our appointment at 10:00, we waited until after 10:30 before we could see her. Alvin had his nails trimmed as I found one of his dew claws was long considering they were just trimmed not even two weeks ago. Then the bloodwork. We were home by just after 11:00. It wasn’t until after 4:30 that the vet called with the news. Alvin has kidney and liver disease, high cholesterol and high blood pressure. Not we are not counting him out of the game just yet. The bloodwork was not conclusive with the stage and I am going to think it is the beginning and would be considered low grade. So with diet and supplements he would/could live several more happy comfortable years. I am keeping those thoughts in my heart and in my mind.

I am feeling so hot and feels like I did not even have a shower. So I must go. Alvin will be feeling even more hot. Thankfully he is still wet from his bath as I did not completely dry him. In a little bit after I clean up downstairs, I will head out to the grocery store for a few things and then I am done for the day.

The last two weeks or so have been a series of ups and downs. I appreciate the support of our family and friends. This is life.

Have a wonderful day. I will be here tomorrow.

Hopefully earlier or with a fan. I already took it downstairs so the fans were all going when he had his haircut.

Coffee time.

Continuing to live this life with kindness, respect, compassion, patience, love, laughter, understanding, gratitude, focus, possibilities and COFFEE.

Always, Carol & Alvin

PS: 10 sleeps until 65. Oh, I forgot he has to go for more testing. Next step is a urine test. So we know where there is going. Yup, I have to score a pee sample from a dog. Now that should be interesting. The sample has to be to the vet within one hour. No problem, lol. Then likely an abdominal ultrasound.

Last Half 2022 – July

Good Morning ALL!. Looks like we are down to the last few days of July 2022. Another super hot day for us here in Edmonton. This is going to be a short post. Already it is hot upstairs although this is a bit later than I usually write and that is because we are making another trip to the vet at 10:00 a.m. this morning. Alvin threw up twice between 2:00 and 3:15 p.m. yesterday afternoon. My daughter left work early to pick up some medicine from the vet, the same prescription he had just over a week ago to stop him from vomiting, I do not remember the name. He is hot again as we went for a short walk. I left it a bit too late. Even though it was 7:45 a.m. when we left and we were home by 8:01 a.m., he is hot. Hopefully I can cool him down. Out with the cool wet towel again. They were a lifesaver for him to sleep with. Thank you to our friend Gillian who came running in the heat when I called after Alvin’s second time throwing up and who has graciously said that she would take us to his appointment. I am so grateful to have such great friends.

Alvin’s BF Teddy did not come as they had an unexpected situation so we will get together later. His Mom and Dad are leaving today to visit family in British Columbia but Auntie Janine is there so as soon as it is cooler we will set up a visit.

I hope that you are well and keeping cool. Fingers crossed all is well with the boy. The Vet suggested he come in for blood work as it has been a year since his last panel was ran. I sure hope that everything comes back normal. Hoping that the events of yesterday were just due to the heat. I am praying, thoughts out to the Universe and to anyone including me that will listen.

Stay cool. Be well.

Continuing to live this life with kindness, respect, compassion, patience, love, laughter, understanding, gratitude, focus, possibilities and coffee.

Always, Carol & Alvin

PS: now 11 days / sleeps until I turn 65. Fireworks!

2021

Good Morning ALL! How are you this Tuesday morning? We are HOT. Just back from a walk. Even though there is a bit of a breeze, I was perspiring, okay sweating, lol, by the time we got home. Phone says it is 23 degrees celsius. Upstairs in the office it is warm so this will be short. We are managing to get through this heat wave. Walks early in the morning and I guess tomorrow will have to be even earlier. Fans going all of the time. Even went to the basement to hang out last night. I really need to get it organized down there …..

Watering last night ….. I sprinklered Alvin a bit but he was not impressed. I on the other hand.

The heat wave is going to continue until into next week. Wednesday and Thursday at the warmest 37 and 38. Saturday is going to be 26 celsius. That will feel like it is freezing. YAY. We got this.

Wet towels covering Alvin for sleeping and during the day off and on. Lots of water as we have to stay hydrated.

I even slept with a wet towel covering my chest last night. We both slept well considering and I am grateful for electric fans. One thing I actually have central air conditioning. It needs to be serviced. I guess that is going to the top of the list to get done sooner than later. Poor Alvin – because his Momma …… Can only do what you can do. As the sweat drops down my face. I felt fresh and cool earlier. ARGH.

OBSERVATIONS on our Walk:

There was a slight breeze and it felt so cool.

The was a bush that was moving like crazy and at first I thought ….. how can that be when the trees right beside it were not moving. Then I realized there were birds fluttering around in the bush. LOL.

Some people do not like to talk in the morning.

Alvin really nice to sniff every blade of grass and every everything.

The roses smell amazing and I was grateful that I was able to smell them.

Okay, I really have to go. Too hot to be upstairs.

Stay cool and hydrated.

Please do not walk your dogs in the heat and by no means take them in the car. Because we all know that you will stop somewhere and think I will only be 5 minutes and they will be okay. That never happens. Also your children. No stopping and leaving any living breathing creature in the car.

Continuing to live this life with kindness, respect, compassion, patience, love, understanding and gratitude.

Always, Love Carol & Alvin

2021

Good Morning ALL! How are you this Sunday morning? Both Alvin and I are well and it is warm in the house despite having the windows open to let in the cool air. Alvin and I both slept until 5:30 a.m. and then we were up to stay. I cannot believe it. I gave the boy his glucosamine chew and then his breakfast. Following that I brushed my teeth, washed my face and got dressed and then filled up Mr. Alvin’s water bottle. I grabbed the harness and chased him around the table (actually he was under the table) and then he broke free and ran upstairs, with nowhere to go, I managed to get his harness on him. Back downstairs, grabbed shoes and keys. We were about 1/2 block or so away from the house before I realized that I had forgot to grab my sunglass clips. ARGH. I do not like being out in the sunshine without them. Anyway I kept my eyes pointed down. As we reached the park I noticed in the middle of the sidewalk a bright blue item, oh I knew exactly what it was, a disposable face mask. They are all over the place. I used a poop bag as a glove and carefully picked it up and threw it in the garbage can a short distance away. Not sure why this happens so much. Anyway. We took our time and as we walked I picked up using another garbage bag as a glove multiple cigarette butts, some plastic and a huge ziploc bag. At one point Alvin got something in his mouth and as I saw him start to chew, he spit it out and I saw it was a cigarette butt. My heart sank. So thankful that this time he actually spit it out. So grateful. They can do so much damage to the internal organs of an animal even causing death. The butt was in the grass so I did not see it. As we walked the birds chirped and the sun shone. What a glorious morning. As we were exiting the park we saw a rabbit, I called him Jack and up the way I noticed another rabbit, I called her Jill. No idea if they were a male and female, two males or two females. But they hopped away and it was not much further and I noticed another bunny. Must have been a convention of the rabbits before the humans are out and about. We carried on enjoying the walk. It wasn’t actually until we got all around and back to the entrance to the park that we saw any human life. A woman walking into the park wearing a dress and boots. I saw her yesterday in a dress and boots with a man. Boots just don’t seem very comfy for walking or in this heat. Mind you perhaps that is all that she has to wear, so no judgements. Another woman was on a bike. Oh, I got out another poop bag and picked up a Tim Horton’s iced drink plastic cup and more cigarette butts. Thankfully I carry several poop bags with me. I sure wish that people would be responsible and dispose of their garbage and that includes cigarette butts. I guess that some people have no idea and really do not give any consideration or thought to what they are doing. My thoughts anyway. We arrived home and once inside I quickly turned on the fans. Anyway I guess I did some more community service this morning by picking up the trash on our walk.

I also noticed it appeared that someone dug up some of the roses at the entrance to the park. Pretty sure there were taller ones by this certain tree yesterday and the days before but they were gone this morning.

Oh, I googled “how to keep your dog cool.” In the house you can add ice cubes to their water dish and you can soak a towel in some cool water and then wring it out and place over them. Alvin absolutely loved it. He laid on the sofa with a wet towel for a long time and then when we went to bed, I soaked another towel and covered him. Worked like a charm and he slept from just after 10:15 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. ……. that was amazing. Personally it was likely that the heat plum tuckered him out but I would like to think that he was comfortable and just slept. It was easy to remain up when you had a continued sleep. Fingers crossed that it will continue.

So today, not much on the agenda. Just bring up the clean clothes that are air drying in the basement. Perhaps rearrange the basement a bit. OR not. Oh, I have my second vaccine this afternoon. YAY, then I am done.

I hope that you are doing well wherever you are and keeping cool if the temperatures are hot.

Please stay safe and be careful.

Continuing to live this life with kindness, respect, compassion, patience, understanding, love and gratitude.

Always, Love Carol & Alvin

Ready to grind some beans and have a mug of coffee and maybe even on the deck before it gets hot.
