Thought for the day…..

Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 13th day of April, 2015.

Wow, almost halfway through the month of April.

What a life altering month thus far for me.

It has been a thoroughly enjoyable weekend at home.

You could not wipe the smile from my face or the joy from my heart.

I truly love being at home in my house with Alvin and my family.

The kids are packing up as they move into their new house this coming Thursday.

Excitement – galore.

I can hardly wait to see their new digs.

So exciting.

We will miss them but once again we open to a new chapter of our lives.

I am only at the office Monday and Tuesday this week as I am home to help with the move.

It is exciting to be at home for five days in a row.

Alvin and I will have to get used to a new routine for the two of us.

But we are looking forward to it …. well at least I am…..for the most part.

Wishing you a happy Monday.

May you have joy in your heart and happiness on your face.

Special Hello to: my friends and family.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day….

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday the 10th day of April, 2015.

WOW, today is Friday ….. where did that week go?

Well it was a busy one.

It was a fun one.

It was a “stressful” one.

It was a happy one.

It is ending on a great note for me.

This will be my first Friday off in a long time.

My first real weekend in months actually years.

What am I going to do?

Go on a wonderful long walk with Alvin.

Take the patio furniture out of the garage.

Sweep the deck.

Perhaps sip on my tea on the deck as the night falls.

Look up into the night sky and realize that even though there are moments throughout my day at the office that are “stressful” … my life is pretty darn perfect.

Really it is.

I have family and friends who love me, and I love them.

I have the best friend on the planet …. me “Alvin” …..

I am in great / perfect health.

I have my very own house.

I make jewellery with my creative genius daughter.

I write this blog every day and people read it.

Still amazes me.

I can walk, talk and cry and do almost anything I try.

Does that line sound familiar?

I borrowed most of it from a story I read when I was a child.

The character is on a prime time series.

Did you guess?

Let me know…..

Well I just know that my life is pretty wonderful.

I am very grateful each and everyday.

We all have our moments and I have mine, to be sure.

But in between the madness and the joy ….. I am very so very grateful.

With all of the love and joy in my life it does not mean much if you cannot share it.

So I am sharing my hope and love and joy with you.

I know that you can do it.

You can do anything you try.

Keep up the great work.

You are amazing.

We are amazing.

Happy Friday my friends.

Special Hello to: the blogging community ….. keep writing.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day…..

Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday the 17th day of March, 2015.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day to everyone.

My family and friends all over the world, Happy St. Pat’s Day.

We are having a potluck lunch at work today and we can also wear sports jerseys and anything green.

Just so happens that I have a Saskatchewan Roughrider (football) jersey which is both.

YAY, me….

Also to top off the celebration my friend “G” is coming over coffee after her “bootcamp” (exercise class).

I am so excited.

I have not seen her in what feels like forever.

YAY …. I am so lucky and feeling really blessed right now.

If you remember I mentioned picking up what they call “pet steps” so that when Alvin and the puppies want to get onto the bed they don’t have to jump so high.

Well Mr. Alvin will have nothing of it.

So I shall leave the steps by the bed and see if perhaps over the course of a few days he will gradually get used to them.

Stubborn boy that one.

Well life is good …. great, in fact.

I hope that it is in your home as well.

Spread the kindness.

Spread the joy.

Spread the laughter.

Always laugh …. giggle ….. feel it right down to the bottom of your belly.

Have a great green day.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day.

Special Hello to: everyone … I would like to yell from the rooftops “HELLO”

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day…..

Good Morning and Welcome to the 24th day of December, 2014 and Christmas Eve.

This is my second favourite day of the year with the first tying with the birth of my precious daughter and the adoption and bringing home of “me” Alvin.

On this day I am even more grateful for all of the many blessings in my life.

I am in great health,

I have my own house,

I am able to work two jobs,

I have wonderful family and friends (actually the best ones),

I have me Alvin who is a bright light in my life,

I am able to meet new people everyday of my life,

I can write via this blog and reach the far corners of the Earth,

I am alive.

So on this Christmas Eve:

I wish you good health.

I wish you to be surrounded by family and friends.

I wish you much laughter.

I wish you much love.

I wish you great joy.

I wish you the gift of gratitude.

I wish you peace, comfort and faith.

I wish you a Merry Christmas.

Have a great day.

I am going to work at the office where will be holding our Annual Family Christmas Party.

We are usually done just before noon and then can go on with our day.

If you are travelling today – be safe.

No texting or talking on the cell when you are driving.

Use HANDS FREE DEVICES.

Merry Christmas.

Special Hello to: YOU and YOU and YOU ….. you are the best and are important to me and to the world.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day…..

Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday the 8th day of July, 2014.

WOW, we just passed 7th day of the 7th month of 2014.

I love the number “7.”

Anyway back to earth, little one (giggling aloud).

It is bright and sunny with forecast of plus 28 degrees celsius for this Tuesday.

Last night my neighbour gave me and Alvin some of her strawberries ….. I thought I was in the garden of Eden …. they tasted so yummy.

Both Alvin and I enjoyed the rest of them this morning with breakfast.

Funny how much different the ones from the store taste.

Oh, we know why.

Well today is off to a great start.

We are going to have a great day.

Right.

We have on our happy face.

We have happiness and joy in our hearts.

We are in love with life.

We are positive lights shining on this earth.

So let us do our happy dance …..

I am dancing as I finish getting ready to go to work.

Alvin will have Elton and Penny here for the day to keep cool with the a/c.

Happy Tuesday everyone.

Special Hello to: all lovers of beings ……

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day….

Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 16th day of June, 2014.

Well here we are …. Monday morning.

The sun was up and shining and is now dimmed by a few clouds.

They do not look like rain clouds.

The sky here where I live can change from one minute to the next.

We never quite know what to expect.

Wherever you are I hope that your Monday is fantastic and that you are feeling great.

So how did you do on your “to do list?”

I managed to complete all but one item and that item is at 50%.

So all in all …. I feel like I had a weekend.

I always feel that way when I accomplish a good many tasks.

I also will write a “to do list” at work and that way I better keep track of everything that I have to do.

My job is busy and there are a great many tasks to complete so it sure makes my life less stressful.

So on this Monday I hope that you are ready to go ……

Enjoy ….. smile ….. spread the joy.

Special Hello to: my sister, I hope that you had a great week of vacation.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day…..

Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 9th day of June, 2014.

This morning reminds me of a line from a old song “Rainy days and Mondays always get me down.”

I would say this could be true for a lot of people.

Most especially for those who require extra Vitamin D from the sunshine.

I can see a break in the clouds so that cheers me up.

I can tell when we have had a long winter and not much sunlight.

That was so true the winter of 2014, this past one.

It would seem that Mother Nature figures we need just a tad more rain and not so much sunshine as yet.

I hope that she decides to bring on the sunshine.

Crops and garden and me need the sunshine.

So on this rainy Monday perhaps you are like me and just putting the finishing touches on getting ready for work.

Or perhaps you are getting ready to go to school (maybe you are not even out of bed at this time as it is early).

Or perhaps you are retired and an early bird up reading the paper and enjoying your first cup of coffee.

Whatever you are doing I hope that this finds you well and enjoying your many blessings.

There will always be less than stellar moments in your life but find the silver lining, pick yourself up and carry on.

Remember to live each moment with our without sunshine.

Maybe you have to take extra vitamin D.

Have a great great Monday.

Smiling helps……. wouldn’t it be nice if every single human being on the planet smiled at the same time.

We would feel an overwhelming sense of peace and joy.

Something to strive for ……

Special Hello to: early birds …..

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day….

Good Morning and Welcome to Saturday the 7th day of June, 2014.

It is a beautiful quiet sunny morning here at my house.

Alvin spent the night at his sister’s house as per usual, as I worked at the store.

We are very blessed that Alvin can go to their house so that he is not alone.

I think of him and all of the other fuzzy loved ones that are alone while their parent(s) are at work.

I think that we take for granted their feelings.

They miss us as much as we miss them.  Likely more.

It always amazes me about how happy he is to see me when I return home.

It is 20 seconds of pure bliss.

He runs to me as though I have been gone for days.

Now part of that is he has to “pee” and is hungry.

But nevertheless he is as happy to see me as I am him.

He is my ground zero of joy ….. of course, my daughter is there as well.

My number one wish is that I could stay home with him all of the time.

Now for most of us parent(s) that is not always possible.

But I will continue to work on that aspect.

I wished that all of the furry ones that we deem as pets ( I really do not care for that word ) would have loving parents and safe, happy homes.

So on this beautiful, quiet Saturday morning I miss “me Alvin” but I know that I will see him soon.

Busy Saturday ….. will be shovelling dirt, having coffee with one of my neighbours and going out to find beads and supplies to make wedding jewellery (custom order).

So much fun.

Always great to have some physical activity along with visiting and shopping.

Now of course there will be laundry and housework in their somewhere and hopefully a chat with my sister.

So Happy Saturday everyone.

Remember to be the best Mom/Dad you can to your furry one ….. we all should be treating them with love and respect.

We should treat every living creature/being on this planet with love and respect.

If we all did that …. bye-bye war and conflict …. hello joy and peace.

Just imagine……….

Special Hello to: my sister …. time to chat …..

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day…..

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 5th day of March, 2014.

YAY, me “ALVIN” is back home.

He has been at his sister’s house since Sunday morning.

He came back home last night.

This was the longest that we haven’t seen each other, 3 days and 2 nights.

OH JOYOUS JOY ……

The house just wasn’t home without him.

I thought maybe he would have forgotten me but when he saw me coming into his sister’s house ….. he barked his shrill bark and ran around like he had won the lottery.

Perhaps that is what I need to do.

Anyway I am so happy that my Alvin is back home.

I know he was in great hands and had a good time but I missed him.

We still have not caught the “you know what” and are going to pick up different traps.

We noticed that he has eaten the peanut butter, pooped and left.

How clever.

I have been feeding him on expensive “natural” peanut butter for a week.

Oh well…..

Anyway time to go to work.

It is getting better there as well …… I am beginning to feel more at ease.

Huge change is always a bit unsettling.

So back to myself ….. thank goodness.

I think everyone was wondering.

But I think that once in a while I can have a “overwhelmed” – crazy – crying – down in the dumps – day or two!!

CRASHED and I AM FLYING AGAIN.

Special Hello to:  my cousin “J” who always has my back ….. thanks “J” …..

Always, Carol and Alvin
