Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 21st day of November, 2018.

Another beautiful day on the way.

Alvin and I enjoyed the most wonderful walk last night.

The air was calm and warm.

The sidewalks were about 80% clear of ice and snow.

We walked slowly where need be and took in our whole walk.

On the way home we bumped into our friends “A” and Abi (Alvin’s girl friend).

She squealed when she saw us.

She is so cute.

Abi always jumps up and gives me a kiss.

She always makes my day.

It has been awhile.

I had forgot that Abi and Alvin were the same age or pretty close.

Four-legged buddies.

We caught up in each other’s news.

Then on our way home.

Tonight is the Guide Christmas Cookie Sale.

I am going with my friend “S” and her daughter.

Should be fun.

There always is a bit of waiting to get into the sale and it is always packed to the rafters.

But one manages to find some cookies and then on our way.

I heard on the news last night that CANADA POST says that the strike could go into the New Year.

They were talking about the effect on small businesses whether in stores or on-line; parcels and Christmas cards.

If they are on strike, I am going to wait and mail my cards in January.

It would be a waste of money as there is always the possibility that they would not reach their destination.

Better late than never.

I send cards, photo(s) and letter.

Time spent is not to be wasted.

Well here we go again.

Time to leave for work.

How are you doing today?

Are you on your way out the door to work or to school?

Do you work from home?

Stay-home Mom? (hardest worker of all)

Whatever you do.

Wherever you go.

May you have a productive, safe, happy day.

Special Hello to: my friends all over the world.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday the 12th day of February, 2016.

This morning my mind has been racing to many different places ….. islands …. home …. work …. everywhere.

So I wanted to share a poem that I wrote several years ago.

Peace out my friends and have a great great day.

**************************************************

IN MY IMAGINATION

In my mind, there is a place

Where the sun shines all day

And it rains some nights

Where the tulips bloom to my delight

Where the water is crystal clear

And sparkles like diamonds in the sun

Where peace is not just a dream.

In my mind, there is a place

In my imagination

I found my dreams they all came true

I could touch the stars

And walk on the moon,  and then visit Mars.

In my mind, there is a place

In my imagination

I met you there on a sandy beach

When the sun was shining just before the rain

You took my hand, and you kissed my cheek

In my imagination.

In my imagination.

In my mind, there is a place

In my imagination

Somewhere that I can go

Kick off my shoes, walk in the sand

Meet you again in my imagination

Under the stars

In my imagination

Please remember to go

Meet me there

In my mind, there is a place.

Thought for the day……

Happy Sunday Everyone!

What are your plans for this sunny Sunday?

Are you spending the day at home?

Are you watching your favourite movie with your family?

Are you using your creative genius to create the next “IT” item?

Are you drinking coffee?

Are you planning to take your dog for a walk?  (Later, I am)

Are you walking on the treadmill because you have one?

Are you chatting with your favourite person on the telephone, SKYPE or on Facebook?

Are you writing a story?

Are you listening to music?

Are you reading a good book?

Are you going shopping?

Whatever you happen to be doing this Sunday.

Just remember that everyone in your “hood”, in your city or town, in Canada, in North America, in the WORLD – is doing “something” this fine Sunday.

Someone might even be doing exactly what you are doing….  🙂

So have a blessed, awesome, amazing, happy, incredible, fabulous, fantastic and cool Sunday.

Also, if you have a wife, husband, children, friend or a pet in close proximity – give them a “kiss” and smile.

Guaranteed this will make your Sunday, extra special.

Always, Carol and of course, Alvin who is recovering from his Momma’s kiss.  LOL
