It is a NEW YEAR

Wow, February 2nd, 2020 already …..

The sun is shining and the inside temperature is set at 71 degrees fahrenheit but with the heat of the sun it is 75 degrees.

Warm, warm, warm.

The house is now quiet as the pups went home yesterday with Auntie J.

Alvin was a little lost last night ….. looking around wondering?

But was happy to sleep in our bed as for the past week we slept on the sofa.

Me, Alvin and Teddy on the sofa and baby Kobi on her little bed close to the sofa.

Yesterday was busy the pups were here in the morning, then went to pick up food and groceries with Aunt J.

Aunt J came for a visit before taking the pups home to their house early afternoon.

Then it was still.

No Kobi tearing around like she had eaten a bunch of sugary treats.

No more determined little one escaping from main floor upstairs to where I am.

I have never seen a pup with the confidence and determination as Kobi.

When she wants something she does not give up until she has it.

She is not afraid.

No Teddy just being his own self which is calm, cool and collected.

The only time I have seen him get miffed is when Kobi has overdone the play time.

No watching for Kobi underfoot.

So yesterday after the pups and Aunt J went home, I started to clean.

Taking down the metal enclosure/gate.

Picking up the remaining pee pads that were unused.

Putting the toys away (on Al’s big doggie bed).

Then moving everything to find two of Kobi’s toys that were missed.

Vacuumed and washed the floor and cleaned as I was hosting our friend S’s birthday party this morning.

The house looked totally different without toys scattered and pee pads what seemed like everywhere.

Before bed I had cleaned the main floor, did several loads of laundry, deiced and removed all of the places where for the last week the pups had peed.

Now do not get too grossed out as there was several inches of snow packed on the deck …. so it was easily removed and then I scraped and shovelled it to the grass area.

I also shovelled a portion of it a few days before for them.

The deck was cleaned off and then I began the ice chipping and cleaning out front.

I had to leave snow on the walk to the street as it was so icy and with facing north, no sunshine.

Shovelled the front public sidewalk removed the water.

But by this morning it was a massive area of ice.

It drains there and is difficult to keep ice free.

That spot anyway.

This morning Alvin and I hosted our friend S’s birthday party.

I put out three kinds of crackers, boursin cheese and grapes and little oranges.

Followed by birthday cupcakes.

We had a great visit and always great catching up with my friends G and S.

I love them and they are such wonderful young ladies.

Both in their 40’s.

They are just a tad older than my daughter.

See this is what keeps me young.

I have found over the years that if your friends are a vast range of ages; it keeps you in the loop and young.

I can identify if folks my own age, older and much younger.

Life is good.

I want to post some photos but they are still loading.

Guess I should have done the software update sooner.

Well, as it is still loading I will post some photos at a later time.

I apologize for missing the odd day here and there but sometimes it is possible to get a post done.

We are grateful to have some downtime before I head back to work tomorrow.

Wishing you a great day.

Life is always better filled with kindness and respect.

Thank you for reading my posts, I really appreciate you taking the time.

I do know how precious our time is these days.

Always, Carol & Alvin

It is a NEW YEAR.

It is definitely a New Year, 2020.

Life is whirling about me.

There has been both good and bad news, and everything in between.

Me, myself and Alvin are doing great.

Life is not clear cut.

Some days there is no easy way through.

Always do what is best for you in that moment.

Seek positive situations, outcomes and people.

Find someone who will listen.

Someone who will hear your story.

***********************

I hear Teddy and Kobi barking, well actually Teddy.

So someone must be going by the house.

The pups are doing great.

We had another good night.

Some puppy photos to warm your heart and bring a smile to your face.

We are doing great.

I will admit that I am a bit tired but my heart is full.

We have been enjoying walks.

Last night I took the puppy with her big brother and then Alvin.

The puppy was all over the place and poor big brother just trotting along.

Happy to come home from work to find three babies happy to see me.

Happier still to find one pee pad that someone had used and no poop anywhere.

Seems as though Teddy did not make it into many photos.

The puppy seems to be stealing the show.

She is this burst of energy, this bright light that amazes me.

Happy Wednesday.

I wish you many more good days than not.

I wish you abundance and love.

I wish you much laughter.

Have an awesome day.

I am always here for you.

Always, Carol & Alvin

It is a NEW YEAR.

Good Morning,

Well we had a pretty good night, Kobi was only up when Alvin woke up at almost 3:40 a.m.

Kobi and Alvin went outside for a pee and then back to bad until almost 5:00 a.m.

So that was good.

She did have one accident but it was an easy cleanup.

Must have happened in between first and second getting up.

Kobi does not like me being out of her sight so going to work today will be interesting.

Thankfully Alvin is here and hopefully he will be the calm in the storm, if there is one.

I was going to post some photos from yesterday but unfortunately there were some previous videos so is taking a bit.

Have to get back downstairs to ensure that everyone goes outside before I leave for work.

Yesterday we had a good day.

I took the boys for a nice walk followed by one with the baby.

She walked the full walk.

I thought she would have napped afterward, no she did not.

Full of energy.

She plays me out.

Okay I guess no photos today.

I will post some later.

She is the cutest little thing, Miss Kobi.

She was standing on her hind legs yesterday looking out of the window.

So cute.

Sure will miss them today.

With kindness and respect.

It is a NEW YEAR.

Well good morning we made it through the first day and night of our week with Teddy and Kobi.

Kobi did not settle down very well last night.

She is used to sleeping away from her brother and parents.

So we set up a similar situation for her and she whined and cried.

This of course upset both Alvin and Teddy.

Less than 1/2 hour later last night we were downstairs sleeping on the sofa.

This kind of worked but not really.

Alvin was up in the middle of the night and therefore she was up.

So not much sleep.

Just had a shower and she is in her kennel, well actually much bigger than a kennel and has cried since I came upstairs.

Alvin is with me and I left Teddy downstairs hoping that he would calm her down.

Not working.

So this is going to be an unusual week.

If you do not see a post from me, please do not worry.

I may be lacking sleep or something.

It does take longer feeding and looking after three pups in the morning.

Work tomorrow is looking more like a vacation day but I am not sure if I want to take a day off or not.

I could but do I?

Hopefully with company coming this afternoon followed by walks …. everyone will be tired.

We had walks and company yesterday ….

Oh well, too much whining.

I have to go downstairs.

Starting to feel a bit anxious.

Alvin is as well.

Have a great day.

Bye for now.

Remember with Kindness and Respect.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Sorry not current photos as I have not had time to download/upload.

Living … One day at a time.

Wow, today is Saturday the 21st day of December, 2019.

The second last Saturday of the month and the year.

WOW, hard to believe that 2019 is almost over.

We are ready for Christmas.

I wrapped the gifts for the pups and Humphrey last night.

Alvin was still sniffing around but at least he did not attempt to open any of the presents.

I was going to put my present from my friend “V” under the tree again but thought against it.

Better to be safe than sorry.

After a long time as somewhere along the way Mr. Alvin must have ate something not for him.

He was up and down ALL night long.

Finally he brought up some semi digested food.

Sorry for the grossness for the morning hours.

Anyway, he seems to be okay now.

We have our regular VET appointment this morning.

I have to have him checked for “ear mites” as baby Kobi has them.

He has his regular nail trim and stuff.

Following the visit, I will be giving Mr. Alvin his haircut which is long overdue.

I finally have the “blade head” replaced for his electric clipper.

Fun awaits.

Later this afternoon Teddy and his little sister arrive for a sleepover.

Last night I was able to get some laundry done and finished the last of the wrapping.

Well there are no words of wisdom or funny stories to share as I am a tad bit tired.

Going to cut this short to go and have some coffee and breakfast.

I hope that you have an awesome Saturday.

If all else fails take a nap.

Always with kindness and respect.

Always, Carol & Alvin

P.S. so excited that I am off work now until January 2, 2020.

So lucky am I.
