Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday the 4th day of December, 2015.

Another absolutely gorgeous morning here in Edmonton.

This morning at 5:00 a.m. while we were outside, Mr. Alvin was digging in the snow (when he should have been pooping).

I kept saying …… “go poop” and he “kept digging.”

This carried on for about five minutes and although I was enjoying standing on the deck in the warm winter air; I grew concerned.

What in the hay why was digging to the South Pole?

Just after that he stopped digging as he had retrieved the prize (whatever that was?) …

I must admit that I was kind of nervous to find out …..

Then (because it is dark) he stepped into the light and I could see that it was one of his chew treats.

Somewhere along the line he had buried it and forgot about it or something.

So he stood there and chewed on it for a couple of minutes.

Then proudly ran up onto the deck and I said once again “go poop Alvin.”

This time he dropped the treat and when back down to the grass covered with snow area and guess what “he went poop.”

Pooping is a big deal in this family.

Always have to make sure he goes before I leave for work.

Keeping regular is a good thing.

That was our morning about forty minutes ago and now it is almost time to hop into the shower.

I hope that wherever you are …. you have an awesome day.

I hope that your belly is full, that you are safe, warm and that you are loved.

Happy Friday.

Special Hello to: my friend who is now living in Spain …… I hope it all works out and you can move back to Canada …. we miss you.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day….

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 15th day of August 2013.

Yes, thank you to have over half of the month still to come.

What a hot humid day we had yesterday, and the forecast is for the same today.

Alvin is feeling better – thank goodness.

I am so grateful.

When he isn’t feeling well – I am frightened.

It is hard when they cannot tell you what is wrong.

So on this day ….. I am so grateful for all the great things in my life.

Family which includes Alvin, Penny and Elton our beloved pets.

They truly are like family.

Families come in all shapes and sizes and ages and you love them all the same.

On this Thursday spread the love to all your family and friends.

Let them know how much you mean to them.

BE grateful for all of them.

They help shape the texture of your life.

Special Hello to: all the dogs, cats and other pets I hope that you are loved and watched over.

Also to all my friends and family back in Regina – I hope that you had an amazing time at the ┬áPaul McMartney concert last night.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day…..

It is definitely true that when one door closes, another one opens.

I work at living my life that way, and also by being positive and grateful and feeling the love that surrounds me all of the time.

Once in awhile something will happen that “briefly” drags me back into that black murky negative pool …

But very quickly I am reminded by another door opening that my life is pretty great no matter what ….

So I stand up – be grateful – put a smile on my face and a song in my heart.

I can do anything and remind myself that I am loved, and am in love with all that surrounds me.

There are so many people and things that I love …. to numerous to count but I do make lists from time to time.

It is a great practice ……

So from me to you ……

Life truly is great. ┬áRemind yourself ….. that if one door closes another one will open right away.

Always keep going through and to those doors…..

You might just be pleasantly surprised, and grateful that you did.

Have a great, great day.

Always, Carol
