Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Saturday the 7th day of November, 2015.

Mr. Alvin insisted on getting up at 4:30 or so …. good Momma ….. we got up.

He had breakfast ….. drank some water ….. went outside.

Back to the sofa.

My mind was alive with dreams and I literally jumped up and looked at my watch and it was 8:20 a.m.

I do not remember the dreams but they were so real.

Something made me jump …. wished that I could remember what it was.

Oh well.

Now I am in the throes of preparing for my company.

My friends “G” and “S” are coming for coffee & tea at 10:00 a.m.

Following coffee my daughter “A” is coming for a sleepover.

Our first order of business is to attend the neighbour Shopper’s DrugMart GALA ….. such much fun.

They sell tickets, very reasonably.

Some of the ticket money goes to help with Cancer and the remainder is deducted from our purchases.

There are goodies to eat and punch to drink.

We get to spin a wheel for free stuff.

Our names are submitted for some draws ( free make up, perfumes and bath stuff).

We get a free bag of stuff with our purchases.

What could be better than that?

Time with my daughter, PRICELESS.

Afterward we will run to the grocery store for a few items.

Get home and get settled and then we are spending the day preparing for the big craft sale at a nearby hospital at the end of November.

Well I had better get this show on the road.

I hope that you are spending the day with some who makes the time feel PRICELESS.

Happy Saturday everyone.

Special Hello to: Mothers and Daughters.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day….

Good Monday Morning and WELCOME to February 11th, 2013.

Only three sleeps until Valentine’s Day or Hearts Day as I like to call it.

This past weekend I was reminded several times over on the importance of being kind.

There was a Mom & Daughter in the store on Friday night.

The little girl was in a stroller and hooked up to oxygen.

At one point while I was helping them (pick out scents), there was a beep.

Mom said the battery needed to be replaced on the portable oxygen unit.

She opened it up and replaced the oxygen unit.

It was quite simple.  She said it was a new model and that the batteries lasted “x” amount of time and then you just pull them out and replace them.

It was fast and simple.  The unit was small reminding me of a soft sided picnic box (square ).  Technology has come along way.

I am not certain of her age.

She was amazing.

She had the warmest smile and had fun with simple things.

I think that sometimes we forget to be kind and to have fun with life’s simple pleasures.

That is why I love to be around children.

They constantly remind us of all the goodness in life and just to be KIND.

So today let us practice being kind ….

Just a smile or thank you or can I help?

Goes a long way.

So have a great day and I wish you all the best of everything.

Special Hello to:  all those Moms out there who despite challenges thrown their way ….. find a way.  Thank you.

Always, Carol and Alvin
