It is a NEW YEAR.

Good Tuesday Morning.

The sky is odd this morning with a mix of shine and cloud.

It is warm already in the house OR perhaps it never really cooled down.

We have a few really good fans that kept us cool during the night so that we could sleep.

It is another reminder to get the Central Air Conditioning serviced.

I have to make that call.

But for now we are comfortable with the fans.

Yesterday we squeaked in a walk before the temperature was too warm.

By after work it was too warm for us to go.

We decided to work in the backyard for our exercise and additional fresh air.

Alvin loves to sit outside.

In fact, earlier this morning he just sat outside for a few minutes before we had to return upstairs for his Momma to get ready for work.

Wow, that was a mouth full.

Anyway, he does loves to relax on the deck.

Do you choose your outfit the night before bed for the next day?

Or are you a let’s see what strikes me kind of person in the morning?

Well generally I am the first.

I like to be organized.

In the morning our routine was pretty much set before COVID19 hit.

Since being home it has changed somewhat but I still choose my clothing right down to the underwear the night before bed.

Okay, when you get dressed ….

Is there sometimes and I have found now that I am home that I just cannot make a decision?

Nothing seems to fit right?

Nothing seems comfortable?

Nothing works?

I know that I have put on some weight.

Yup, another thing we can blame on COVID19 which is a lot easier than blaming oneself.

Okay, I know it is not COVID19’s fault (and here I am speaking about it as if it is a person, oh my goodness sake).

But then the sun comes out and you put on something that makes you feel like a million dollars even with the extra weight.

The colour suits you and the cut is amazing.

It is that little top in your closet or perhaps a pair of pants.

That you always feel good wearing.

For some reason it does not hit the top of the list often enough.

I have that top on this morning.

The colour is good on me.

Turquoise blue.

It has an embossed dragonfly with some gold sequins and other coloured ones.

The cut is good.

My buddha belly is semi disguised although not entirely.

It is just a top that was well made.

Short sleeves.

Has the right amount of stretch to be flattering.

I love this top.

I was just thinking that it would be fantastic to have more of this top.

But alas it was a hand me down and I have no idea of where it came from and most likely they don’t make this anymore.

But for this moment, for this day, I shall run with the feeling of a $million dollars$$.

 

Mr. Alvin has a vet appointment at lunchtime to check his ears.

I believe that he has an infection in his left one.

Better to be safe than sorry.

He has been uncomfortable the past couple of days and I surely do not wish him to suffer.

 

Okay, time to start drinking that “to go” mug of coffee.

Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 29th day of July, 2018.

Happy Birthday to one of my great nephews who turns “7” today.

I will be seeing him in two sleeps along with his Grandma (my sister), his Mom and brothers.

Lots to do before they arrive.

We were up early for a Sunday.

Up at 5:00 and Alvin ate and did his business.

To the sofa until 6:30 and then we went for a walk.

The forecast is for over 30 degrees celsius today.

Makes it HOT doing housework and for walks.

After I finish this post I will settle in and clean the bathrooms and floors upstairs.

Followed by same downstairs on the main floor.

Always better to do jobs like cleaning when it is somewhat cool.

I opened all of the windows at 5:00 a.m. so was able to reduce the interior temperature from 79 to 73.

Will close the windows shortly and keep all of the blinds closed this will keep the house cool for most of the day.

The front lawn has to be mowed this morning before it gets hot but have to wait as it is wet.

Placing Steeped Tea and NORWEX orders today.

Seems like there is a lot on my TO DO LIST.

How did that happen?

I cannot believe that August is only a few days away.

WOW.

 

We certainly enjoyed our early morning walk.

The birds were singing their songs and a few dogs were barking in the distance.

The grass wet with dew.

The fountain was running at our pond/lakes.

So nice to hear the water running in the background.

No one was out and about – just me and Alvin.

 

Well I guess there is no time like the present.

Get busy and get those chores done before it gets hot.

 

Always a good thing to do your chores early.

Then there will time to relax when it is hot.

Perhaps watch a movie this afternoon in front of the fan.

 

Yesterday I gave Mr. Alvin a hair cut and bath.

He seems to fuss more and more.

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday the 9th day of June, 2017.

YAY, it is almost the weekend.

Looking forward to seeing my girls (my daughter & Miss Aspen) tomorrow.

The sky is blanketed in dark blue clouds to the south as I look out of my office window.

A few moments ago in my bedroom which faces north the sun was shining and the sky was clear blue.

Funny how that works.

Seems like for some reason I am running late once again.

No particular reason but alas I am.

Do you sometimes have this problem or situation?

Not really a problem, I guess.

Just timing.

Last night after a long day between work and the bus ride home, we just had a quiet night at home.

Alvin and I enjoyed some quiet time in the back yard.

I mowed the grass and dug out some dandelions from Alvin’s little area.

The dandelions seem to come out of nowhere.

It was nice to sip on a cup of tea on the deck.

I must do that more …..

I hope that you have a glorious weekend.

I have been thinking about the things we say, I say and have come up with the following mantra:

I will think for a longer time before I speak.

 

There is more but I see by my watch that I have to go.

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday the 6th day of September, 2016.

The long weekend is over and it is back to work for me and many others.

It would appear that it rained overnight.

I thought that I heard it rain last night.

Well it was an extremely productive weekend for me.

I accomplished everything from laundry to mowing the front and back lawn to defrosting the fridge to picking up trash in the neighbourhood.

Busy but good.

It was nice to have so much time with Alvin, too.

After waking up to cool temperatures in the house and it not climbing after several hours, I broke down and turned on the heat.

With the temperatures being the mid teens this weeks it would have been too cool for the boy.

During the self imposed break from writing I did not plan on where I wanted to go from here.

So it will just evolve over time.

I guess that is a decision that I must make.

I am debating whether or not to catch the earlier bus this morning.

My regular time is back on the schedule.

Back on schedule because the kids are back to school and they added more times to the routes.

YAY.

It will be good in the winter when the bus is usually running a few minutes late.

I do not want to be late for work.

It leaves every 15 minutes so I have wiggle room.

 

I was inspired to write more poetry so that is for certain.

Something that can be done anywhere ….

Just have to have a pen and paper with me.

I hope that you had a great weekend.

Time to go and finish getting ready.

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday the 24th day of June, 2016.

The sun is shining and there appears to be a breeze as I gaze out my upstairs window.

Last day of work for this week.

The house is quiet with only the sound of my fingers tapping on the keyboard.

Alvin went home with his sister, brother-in-law and Elton last night.

It was easier as I am hosting a garage sale tomorrow and the day he gets too excited with all of the people coming and going.

I cannot leave him in the house and being outside in the garage with me for that length of time is not good for him either.

So he is on a two night three day sleepover.

My coffee buddies were getting together last night after the kids were in bed to make a craft for each of their children’s teachers.

They invited me for coffee.

Of course, I joined in ……

We ate grapes, blueberries, raspberries and watermelon.

I drank coffee …..some enjoyed another beverage.

We had a blast.

We took these flower pots, put a bed of green foam in the bottom of each, glued in a grassy moss stuff, made a cute flower, added leaves, placed a gift card and button on each flower and also a key chain with an inspirational saying from the child to the teacher.  They were so cute.  Wrapped in cello – coloured on the bottom and clear over that …. wrapped with a small tag and cord.

They look so good.

So this was out of the blue so worked well as I do not like to leave Mr. Alvin alone ….

I managed to get the back lawn mowed, prepared something for the mail, empty the dishwasher, make supper and do the dishes, get my lunch and clothes ready for today and walk the pups all before Elton’s Mom and Dad arrived after work.

Then had time for supper and a couple of extra things before heading out.

I figured it would be nice to go out forgetting the getting up part as I did not get to bed until almost 11:00 p.m. – strange being so light out.

Well I have to run as I did things in revers this morning … up shower and get dressed and then do my blog and now go write in my gratitude journal and eat breakfast.
