It is a NEW YEAR.

Well Wednesday morning already and back to work after my Tuesday vacation day.

It was a great day despite the massive amount of snow that Mother Nature sent our way.

I must have shovelled I don’t know how many pounds of snow throughout the day.

From early morning until nightfall.

On the bright side it was great exercise.

I had taken some photos of the trees covered in snow.

But unfortunately due to technical difficulties this morning I am unable to share them.

Later.

Yesterday I was luckily that one of my friends was not working so I was able to catch a ride to Shoppers Drug mart and Save-On Foods.

I was able to finish all of my shopping.

My friend even drove me home.

She was running errands so it worked out perfectly.

Well here it is almost time to leave the house.

I have to run out and pick up the poop.

Always a good idea to keep it picked up.

I don’t like surprises in the spring.

Although sometimes there is the odd one that was missed.

How did I get talking about poop again.

Not like it is my favourite subject or anything.

Laughing aloud.

I hope that you have an awesome Wednesday.

Overnight it plunged from +2 F to -20 F.

How is that for temperature change?

Take care.

With Kindness and Respect,

I remain,

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day…..

Good Morning and Welcome to Saturday the 14th day of June, 2014.

Bright and sunny with a hint of a breeze that cools the early morning ….. it is almost Nine so not that early.

Well today is going to be a huge day for me …. I have a TO DO LIST about one mile long.

Have you ever had that day when you made out your list and it was almost scary the amount of chores and things you had to do?

Today is that day for me.

It is almost daunting as to where to start.

But all you can do is make that list.

Start at the top ( put something on the top that you can do quickly).

Once you have finished or completed a task – cross it off with a marker or highlighter – something that will stand out.

You will feel so much better that way.

It shows up as you complete the items.

If you get near the bottom or even half way and still too many things to do in the course of one day …. then see what you can do later.

We always get carried away thinking we are SUPER “WOMEN” or “MEN” …… sometimes we are.

So deep breath …… consult the list that I started and write that list.

I will tell you one thing ….. it feels so amazing to cross things off of a list and see what you have accomplished over the course of a day or two compared to just buzzing around trying to think of what you have to do.

Less stressful and I believe wholeheartedly that you accomplish more with a TO DO LIST.

So let’s take off ….. get things done ….. what you cannot easily accomplish today save for tomorrow or perhaps ask for help.

I know that Alvin has had his heart set on mowing the grass for his Momma … and who knows I might get his help.

Now wouldn’t that be a sight ….. watching a doggie pushing the lawn mower.

Which is a push one powered by “muscles” …..

Happy Saturday.

See you back here tomorrow.

Special Hello to: all those people who are looking around and seeing tasks to do and do not know where to start …… write your list ….. have fun.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day….

Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday the 19th day of November, 2013.

I think it is going to be the winter of SO MUCH snow.

We almost had sunshine for a bit earlier yesterday,  and then it started to snow once again.

More shovelling.

On the up side I should have nice tone to my arms come March.

My poor Alvin got the short end of the stick as we did not go for a walk for the second day in a row.

He does love the snow.

Once he was finished with supper last night he decided to jump through the snow in the backyard into the shrub garden.

He loves to walk around the bushes and sniff about.

I am not sure what he is sniffing but he loves it.

I love watching him.

Even his sister got into the action on the weekend as she snapped a couple of photos of him out in the snow.

He loves getting his nose covered in snow.

I am so happy that almost 3 years and 10 months ago he came into my life.

Once we got passed that first 60 days we were rolling in glory.

We are inseparable.

If I am on the computer he lies on the carpet outside the office door.

If I am shovelling out front and he is in the house – he watches from his second favourite chair.

If I am shovelling out back – he is with me.

Wherever I go – he goes.

Pretty much anyway …. not to work, though.

I wouldn’t be able to concentrate if he were there nor would anyone else.

He is Mr. Cuteness …. that is my nickname for him.

Sometimes “Al” …. depends.

I hope that you have someone in your life to share your days and nights …

Whether it be two legged or four or perhaps both.

That would be nice.

But until that happens … I have my four legged guy ….

Have a great day.

Be happy and remember to be still.

Be safe ….

Special Hello to: YOU ALL after all there wouldn’t be me without you.

Always, Carol and Alvin
