Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 2nd day of May, 2019.

Well this is what we woke up to at 3:30 a.m. today ……

Photos were taken a few minutes ago just after 6:00 a.m.

The temperature is to be +10 degree celsius so it will once again melt by the time that I reach home.

Or at least I am hopefully.

The moisture is good.

Sometimes you just feel in your very being that all is being purged.

All the bad stuff.

All the unnecessary junk.

A lightness is in your heart that feels as though life is given a second chance.

Sometimes it does feel as though you have control over life.

Anyway I know I am being cryptic but not my place to give details.

Just so happy that all is well ….

So on this Thursday I am feeling so extra blessed.

Alvin and I enjoyed a beautiful walk last night.

After the bad roads and multiple accidents near and around the City of Edmonton; I did not think that we would be walking.

But the temperature warmed up throughout the day and was pretty much all melted by the time that I got home from work.

We saw a muskrat in the pond by our home.

Swimming away.

We saw a goose wandering about.

A duck enjoying a swim.

One singles were out and about, I guess.

We also bumped into a young couple out walking their pup whom we have met before and pup is almost 17 years old.

Still lots of energy and grit.

We met a young pup named Miso (after the soup).

Miso was so full of energy …. at first Mr. Alvin played and sniffed to get to know the young one.

After a few minutes he was “done” or so I thought and then they were playing again.

I enjoyed this encounter.

Always nice to meet new people and pups.

Well almost time to head out of the door.

My ride came early yesterday with the roads so am thinking the same today.

I hope that you all have a wonderful day.

Happy Thursday.

Remember “gratitude” is the answer.

Yes, it is.

Special Hello to:  all our family ….. near and far ……. we love you all.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 11th day of February, 2018.

The sun is shining brightly but it is COLD outside, brrr, cold.

Really COLD, did I tell you it was super cold out.

Yes, it is.

Just in from picking up poop from earlier this morning and shovelling off the back deck.

Still have the front to do but it can wait.

We are hosting a birthday party at our house this morning.

One of my girl friend’s celebrated her 40th Birthday on February 1st, 2018.

I was down with the flu and had to post phone the celebration.

The balloons are up and the streamers.

I personalized the streamers by writing her Name with Birthday Wishes and “40.”

Looks good.

Remember Teddy, the 4 year old pup that stays with us from time to time.

His Aunt is looking after him while his parents are in Mexico for a month.

They will be coming for coffee and a visit this afternoon at 2:00 p.m.

I guess this day is officially “party/visit/fun” day.

Good thing that I got everything done yesterday.

I have not met my friend’s sister “J” as yet.

On this COLD Sunday I hope that this finds you well and preparing to have an awesome Sunday.

Whether you are home or at work, have the best day.

Own it / make it wonderful.

It is all in your hands, it is up to you.

Only you can make your day wonderful.

Happy Sunday.

This photo of Alvin is not from today but I think it is a good one of him.

Just wanted to share.

Special Hello to: all my family and friends.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday the 12th day of May, 2017.

The sky is overcast and rain is in the forecast for today and the weekend.

I hope that it will have clear points so that I am able to do my outdoor “tasks.”

Alvin has a Vet appointment tomorrow morning, I HAVE to clean up the neighbourhood (driving me crazy) and get few items at the store.

I guess only time will tell.

I do have an umbrella and Alvin has sort of a rain jacket.

Last night was gorgeous and we enjoyed an extra long walk.

Stopping to visit with new friends along the way.

Meeting a young dog named “Oswald” AKA Ossie.

We had a grand time.

On our way home I stopped to pick up the mail.

Inside a purple envelope stood out from the stack of flyers.

We always have lots of flyers for the recycling.

Back to the “purple envelope.”

It had familiar writing …. my friend “V.”

But what could it be …. not my birthday.

Once we arrived home I quickly opened the envelope ….

Inside was a beautiful Mother’s Day card with a perfectly written inscription.

My friend also had written a poem about me.

Wow, no one has ever done that before ….

We kind of challenged or more like mentioned that we should do some writing together.

I would love to write a book with her.

I am so grateful to have such a thoughtful friend.

It is kind of funny that we knew each other for like twenty years but never were “friends.”

Not that we were the other …. simply just knew each other in passing.

I wished that I had known her better back then ….

I believe that things happen for a reason and I guess it was just our time to be friends.

Thank you my friend…… Alvin, thanks you as well.

We are hoping to see you this summer for a visit.

Well time to get going for work.

Catching a ride this morning.

Happy Friday.

Special Hello to: my friend “V.”

Always, Carol & Alvin
