Thought for the day…

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunny Thursday, the 16th day of May 2013.

It is a bright beautiful morning here in the City of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

I am feeling pretty great.

Yesterday I had the first of three physiotherapy sessions for my knee.

The one that I happen to fall on just about three weeks ago.

Certainly is interesting ….. I must say my favourite part was the ultrasound.

You don’t feel anything ….. but calm ….. just lay there and enjoy the treatment.

Now that is nice.

My therapist is wonderful ….. a bright, kind, handsome young man.

He so reminded me of my daughter (he said he was an only child).

Guess it must be part of the makeup of an only child.

Or ast least some.

Well I must admit I have been staying up past my bedtime the past few nights and it is beginning to show.

So that is my thought ….. always important to get enough sleep.

I told Alvin this morning ….. we are going to bed at 9:00 p.m. tonight.

Well I better go as I have to grab a necklace that my daughter sold to a friend.

Have the best day and remember to get enough rest/sleep.

Special Hello to:  all you recent retirees, I hope that you are enjoying retirement.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day…..

Good Friday Morning and Welcome to the 10th day of May 2013.

I must apologize as I did not write on my blog yesterday morning.

On Wednesday afternoon at the office, I noticed that my left foot was swollen.

This was due in part to the injury I sustained from falling on the ice near my front flower bed two weeks ago today.

I thought it was getting better until that moment.

So it raised concerns and I took yesterday off from the office to go and see the Doctor.

Wednesday night my neighbour was over (she happens to be a registered nurse) and she checked it and told me to keep it elevated and iced.

So I did that.

The Doctor said there did not appear to be fluid built up on my knee, and seemed to be soft tissue / ligament damage so he is sending me for physiotherapy / to see a physiotherapist.

That is a first for me.

So two weeks of therapy – hopefully less and I should be as good as new.

Honestly it doesn’t bother me for the most part ….

Anyway it changed some of my plans …. I was going to work an extra long shift today at the store as it is my day off from the office but the Doctor said “only work half of the shift.”

So as always they are so accommodating at the store, I love those guys.

Yesterday my grand-puppies spent the day with me and Alvin as they had out of town company in for a visit.

So it all worked out.

It was gorgeous outside and I left the door open so that the puppies could run in and out more easily (saved me getting up).

Today promises to be beautiful as well.

I know that perhaps I have taken my health for granted and that is about to change.

We only have one chance at this and in order for me to reach “100” – I need to remain in perfect health.

That is my goal so to speak …. I want to be healthy, happy, abundant and surrounded by great people all through my years on this planet.

I hope that you are enjoying this spring weather if it is spring where you are …..

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I enjoy reading others when possible.

That is another goal of mine …. to read more and more blogs.

I love to read …. I just need to be slightly more organized.

So have the best day everyone.

This is a good day for some exercise.

Take Care.

Special Hello to: all my fellow bloggers …. you truly rock… keep up the great work.

Always, Carol and Alvin …..
