Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 29th day of April, 2018.

WOW, cannot believe that it is almost noon.

I am sorry that I did not get to writing this post until now.

Crazy kind of morning.

We were up at 5:00 a.m. for Alvin to do this morning routine.

Alvin went outside and drank some water but would not eat his food.

I tried hand feeding him but to no avail.

So we went back upstairs to bed.

A couple of hours later up again.

But he would not eat.

He did not appear to be feeling poorly – still his happy self.

We fell asleep on the sofa after that for awhile.

When we got up it was pretty late for us.

I tried several times to feed him but to no avail.

Even tried giving him a piece of his favourite food – banana

But he would not eat it.

So I made the piece smaller and he ate it.

I cut up a piece of banana into small bits and into a bowl for him.

He gobbled it down.

I did that with all of the pieces of banana that he would normally eat.

It dawned on me that he was actually hungry and for some reason unknown to me – just not able to eat.

Whether it is a tooth, or that he scratched his mouth with a chew treat yesterday or the fact that he managed to eat some of Teddy’s food last night at supper (Teddy’s food is softened for him).

Anyway as the was able to soften his food, I gave him some until he wanted no more.

So I will soften his food from now on.

Keeping an eye on him.

Hopefully not a tooth or anything serious.

 

It also took me 1/2 hour to get my electric coffee perk to work.

That was annoying – nothing worse than wanting a cup of coffee and the coffee perk not wanting to comply.

ARGH.

 

So that was my morning.

I was going to go and clean up the trash in the neighbourhood but it is so WINDY that I have decided to do that next weekend.

Hard to hold the bag and pick up trash in the wind.

I have done that before ….

So will just go and get groceries, wash some floors and finish off the laundry.

 

We had a wonderful day with Teddy yesterday.

I took the boys for a walk by the lake.

They were really good.

We sat outside on the deck and relaxed.

The boys played from time to time.

It was a great Saturday.

Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 23rd day of October, 2016.

It is looking like another gorgeous day here in Edmonton.

The sun has been up for awhile and is shining.

Yesterday was so nice …..

Did some community service (picking up trash).

Raked my front yard and my neighbours.

Alvin and I enjoyed a lovely walk.

Did some laundry.

This morning my daughter and one of the grand-puppies Elton are coming for a visit.

I am making pancakes.

Have to make some coffee.

This was a very productive and fun weekend.

I hope that wherever you are whatever you are doing that you are having fun.

No matter what you must have fun.

Gotta run.

Sorry for such a short blog this morning.

Somedays it just turns out that way.

So excited for my daughter to come and Elton, of course.

Alvin is getting excited.

Also have to mail the tea samples that I did for some friends in Regina.

I made 82 samples of tea yesterday and hand wrote the labels.

Thought for the day…..

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 15th day of January, 2015.

Another gorgeous morning here in Edmonton.

Yesterday was a balmy plus 5 degrees celsius.

How lucky are we?

VERY.

So is it climate change, global warning or just a mild January?

Alvin and I are enjoying our walks in the warmer temperatures.

We try to make a difference and recycle …

Not purchase a lot of prepackaged foods so less containers to recycle.

We use “cloth” shopping bags.

We do not use chemical cleaning products.

I do not throw my trash on the ground ( I am the one that picks up other’s littering ).

Maybe on this day …..

Just take the second if you see a piece of paper or cardboard or some other piece of litter on the ground and PICK IT UP.

FIND the nearest garbage can and throw it in.

It breaks my heart to see pieces of cardboard and plastic floating in our nearby lakes and bags caught in the branches of trees.

We can make a difference ….. one piece of litter / garbage at a time.

Today I am deeming this: PICK UP LITTER DAY … KEEP OUR NEIGHBOURHOODS CLEAN.

Just think of how proud you will feel.

Truly we can all make a difference.

Well time to go and pick up this morning’s poop (puppy power) from the back yard.

Keeping things clean and tidy is a good thing.

Oh and thank you so much for helping to keep our neighbourhoods and planet clean.

All of the creatures that cannot speak will certainly appreciate it and me, too.

Alvin says thank you.

Then he will not find something on the ground and get it into his mouth before his Momma can retrieve it.
